Genpsych helped me get through an extremely tough time in my life, especially with their lenient hours and programs. Yaro was very patient with me the entire time and always available! Jasmine at the front desk is… amazing and was always a pleasure to see. Also special thanks to Nadia and the rest of the team/interns

They’re not accepting new clients in all Their offices per the intake department. They have no therapist per intake dept taking new clients.

GenPsych was an important part of my journey toward better emotional regulation and mental health. I participated in the DBT program, where I learned valuable skills for distress tolerance, mindfulness, and breathing… techniques. The supportive atmosphere and caring staff created a safe and welcoming environment where I felt comfortable learning and growing. The program gave me the tools and support I needed to make meaningful progress. Since the program is voluntary, I encourage anyone considering it to give it a try. Yaro, Denise, Angela, Melanie, and the Director were all wonderful therapists who made a positive impact on my life. I am thankful for them, the clients who attended alongside me and friends made along the way. Thank you all for everything, truly.

The program was really helpful and the staff are all very friendly and caring. I learned a lot from the in-person group sessions! My therapist Melanie was very professional and created an individualized action plan for… me that has helped me maintain balance and consistency back into my life. I’m very grateful for the staff and how much effort they put into helping each and every one of their clients.

I just wanted to say how much I genuinely appreciated the Wayne team and the support I received. Melanie was amazing to work with and made me feel heard, understood, and comfortable during some really difficult moments.… Denise and Yaro were both wonderful and always brought kindness when I needed it most. This is part of their job, yes but these women at this facility genuinely care and go above and beyond to make sure each individual is cared for and supported from beginning to end. Jema, was incredible as an intern - you can tell she truly cares about people and is really good at what she does. Jasmine, honestly made such a huge difference from beginning to end. She is the first person to greet you as soon as you walk inside, her positive energy, encouragement, and caring attitude helped make every visit feel a little easier and more comforting. Thank you to the entire team at GenPsych for creating a safe environment where people can feel supported and cared for. It truly meant a lot to me, and journey in my life that I will never forget.

I really learned a lot in this program that I can take with me in the future. All the therapists were very good. I totally recommend to anyone going through mental health struggles.

My experience at GenPsych was absolutely life changing. I was on the DBT track and by graduation, I was fully equipped with very useful tools to use both in and out of crisis. The therapists are all very caring,… wonderful people. I had the privilege of working individually with Melanie Luque, LAC, NCC, and my experience with her was one that I will never forget. Her perspective was very helpful to me throughout my time at GenPsych. Jasmine greeted me every morning with a “Good morning sunshine!” and even if I wasn’t feeling like sunshine at all, it did brighten my day. Overall, I highly recommend GenPsych to anyone in need of extra support during difficult times.

Give Yaro a raise please!!!!! Amazing program, everybody was so welcoming and I would recommend it to anybody who needed it! They really individualized the experience and were willing to work with me on days and times I… needed. I was able to check in at any time even if it wasn’t my scheduled day.

My child is currently in her third week at GenPsych, and so far we’ve had a very positive experience. The staff has been kind and helpful throughout the entire process. They responded quickly with all the information I… needed to complete registration, which made everything feel smooth and organized. The therapist has been willing to truly listen to my concerns and has made thoughtful efforts to accommodate them. That has meant a lot to us as parents. I also want to give extra kudos to the administrative assistant, Jazmin. She has been incredibly kind and patient. She’s always smiling, checking in to see how we’re doing, and making us feel comfortable and supported. Her warmth makes a difference. We’re grateful for the care and professionalism we’ve experienced.

I’m still attending GenPsych, and the support I’ve received has been consistent and meaningful. Denise has been very supportive and compassionate through my ups and downs. She has created an environment where I feel… safe. Chimena has been attentive and professional. I feel confident in my care. Jasmine has also been fantastic—organized and helpful. She runs the front smoothly and always with a smile. Overall, this has been a very well-coordinated program.

Revised Review: I am leaving this review to accurately document my experience as a parent. This facility serves both adults and children with various mental health needs. During my time there, I observed serious safety… and supervision concerns that make the environment inappropriate for minors—especially children with anxiety. There are no visible security or access-control measures. Not only can individuals enter the building freely, but after approximately 9:45 a.m. the office doors are left unlocked and unattended, with no one stationed at the front desk to greet or monitor who is entering. Anyone can walk directly into the office suite. Staff remain behind closed doors, and there is no active supervision of common areas. I personally witnessed multiple escalated situations in shared spaces. On one occasion, a distressed teenager and parent were screaming and using profanity in the waiting area, with statements made alleging physical harm. There was no staff member present to intervene or assist. On another occasion, an adult client from an upper floor came downstairs visibly agitated and yelling because he was upset with his therapist. Again, there was no staff presence. I later learned that the only way to get help is by calling a posted phone number, because no one monitors the front desk. Despite these conditions, I was told that I could only remain in the waiting room for one last day and would then be required to wait in my car during my child’s sessions. Given the lack of security and supervision, this was not reasonable. No parent should be expected to leave an eight-year-old child alone in an environment like this, particularly a child with severe anxiety. Ironically, the concern raised to me was about privacy and the possibility of seeing another child while seated in the designated waiting area, while far more serious safety issues were ignored. Based on what I personally observed, I do not believe this is a physically or emotionally safe environment for children. I hope leadership takes a serious look at supervision, security, and how pediatric clients are accommodated so future families are not put in this position.

I recently completed my program at GenPsych, and I wanted to express my appreciation for the incredible staff and support system. Jasmine was always so welcoming and kind. The therapists, Melanie and Yaro, provided… tremendous support during my challenging times. They truly listened and made me feel heard and comfortable. The DBT program was especially helpful in meeting my needs, and the group sessions offered a great space where everyone felt supported and understood. I highly recommend coming back here again!!

My family and I have been in the most difficult and frightening time of our lives trying to understand and navigate our teenager going through the pandemic and the terrible isolation this unprecedented generation had to… endure. We as parents were so lost and had tried everything. Counselors, therapists - therapeutics of all types for years. We met someone who highly recommended Genpsyche and as all loving parents do- we took heed and add a call. It was a call that changed all of our lives! We have our you g adult back to a happy hopeful functioning person who is making plans, back in university and excited about the future. My husband and I are forever grateful for the incredible therapist , staff and team members who worked together for such an astounding recovery. We have never experienced such sincere and empathetic support anywhere else previously. This institution is truly well organized and we recommend anyone in need not to look anywhere else. Dr. Yaro is absolutely the most professional and astute doctor we have ever dealt with .

I’ve had a really positive experience with GenPsych. The staff is supportive, the environment feels safe, and they truly care about your well-being. I especially want to highlight Jasmine she’s amazing! Jasmine is… always so helpful, patient, and understanding. She takes the time to really listen and makes sure you feel supported. Her kindness and professionalism make a huge difference. I’m really grateful for her and the way she goes above and beyond.

My 17 yr old son went to GP Wayne's PHP program and we felt the program was helpful in teaching DBT coping skills. Nikki was his clinician and they really connected with our son. They were very communicative and helpful… and clearly wanted our son to feel better. The program is DBT based which is the go-to for depression and anxiety. Melissa in the billing dept was stellar. She investigated exactly how much our deductible was and how much we would need to pay every week. You can't make your child use the coping skills - but at least GP does a very good job teaching them. Front office staff , Daniella was also very helpful and friendly.

Excellent Staff. Excellent attention. I needed help and wasn't sure where to turn. I got pointed here and I am so glad I did. Thank you so much, everyone at GenPsych!!

Absolutely fantastic place !!! We saw dr. Albert Kwimi, my daughter said he is THE BEST she had ever talked to. Everyone there is just awesome !
