Wow great chefs and delish meals Wowow
Excellent pharmacy staff, second to none. Thank you for all your help.
They've done a great job handling any of the issues I've had, and their speed of service has never been an issue.
Overall great help. Overall good people and staff. My PCP is very kind and professional. But as with Lake Nona getting someone on the phone is tough. Leaving messages does no good. I’ve yet to receive a call back from… numerous messages I have left at various departments. Otherwise no other issues.
Always amazing! The staff really cares about us veterans especially Larry one of the supervisors and my amazing Teal Team!
I’ve been going there for over 25 years and never had any issues.
The community care office is so back logged and don't care to communicate with outside providers. They are grossly inefficient and cause serious delays in treatment.
I heard horror stories about the VA and avoided going there for years. That was a mistake on my part. Every experience I've had at the Lake Baldwin Clinic has disspelled that myth. I've been treated professionally and… with nothing but respect at every visit. The Audiology Department is amazing and truly helped this retiree. Treat these good people as you would have them treat you and you won't be disappointed.
I called the number presented. Woman had an attitude I asked for dental for lake Baldwin. She sent me to physical therapy. Then the guy who transferred me over sent me to lake Nona dental and they didn't even pick up.
Today will mark the last time I'll go to the pain clinic at this VA. There's a very poor communication, lack of commitment and systematic failures in this clinic. Inspite of filing complaints with patient advocate twice… and discussing the failures with their supervisor nothing changes. One particular issue I've dealt with for 2yrs with adaptive sports, I got an equipment to enhance my mental and physical needs and prove to be a failure with a ramp that weights at least 100lbs for a sitting bike. I've addressed this issue many times and left several messages for Ms. C and went unanswered. I reported this issue to her supervisor and I get from "I'm gonna look into it, to I'm gonna check what else the vendor has". I can't take the bike anywhere with a ramp that heavy. 8 months later and nothing is being done. I try to participate in the summer sports clinic and started all the steps with Dr. M way in advance and also was a failure. During a recent visit I asked him when was I going to finish the paperwork to participate? He said I couldn't because the age "requirement" change, if that's the case why didn't he communicated that?. I was skeptical about the answer so I checked the website and clearly said "no age requirement". During a follow up visit I mention this and his excuse was "website" wasn't updated. So who do you believe?. Is a systematic failure for those of us who suffered injuries while serving our country. They don't belong in the VA making juicy salaries while failing us. Something needs to be done about it. Poor communication, little credibility while the veteran is left suffering. There's no accountability for any of it. Someone with a higher authority needs to step up and fix this. This isn't the treatment I deserve, very disappointing and depressing.
Swift and Bold all the way.....
I would rather spend 100 years in bootcamp than have to try and make 1 phone to this clinic. Thr phone system is so bad, I now just drive 30mins to there just to schedule appointments or ask a question. I do want to… note its not the staff that is the issue, it is the whole phone system and how everything is set up. Everyone at this clinic is wonderful
Constant nightmare. But to mitigate the nightmare don’t get assigned to women’s health at this clinic you will always set yourself up for more headache and incompetence than normal.
Doc Bendel always takes care of me and is a pleasure to see at Lake Baldwin. She clearly loves taking care of people and is happy to be at work!
I am so grateful to the entire VA clinic. My brother is a homeless vet and has struggled with mental health issues for the past 20 years. My parents have mostly managed his care until recently. I was concerned with how… the day would go but every step along the way was met with people who advocated for him and pointed me in the right direction. From the front desk ladies to the lpns/rns, VSO, enrollment, PCP, psych/triage, pharmacy. A very daunting experience was turned into a smooth one where I felt like his needs were being met. I tried to write down and remember everyone’s names but I know I’m missing a few. Leticia, Ramos, Johnson, Wilkerson, Lee, Toth. It means so much knowing there are people like you who have taken on this role in my brothers journey. Thank you!!!
Very sad service, bad attitudes towards veterans.. staff acting like we are bothering them.
The woman named Janet at the VA Baldwin Park that works in the lab is the most rudest uncaring individual I've seen in a long time. With a smart alec tone and condescending I was shocked when an elderly veteran checked… in she asked his birthday 1926 that means he's 100 years old she told him to sit down until they called his number he could not hear very well and she said it again in a rude tone. I was appalled. Otherwise the other staff we have encountered there including the cafe are very kind. This lady needs to go she does not belong at the VA.
My treatment was excellent, but the entire clinic needs to be traines on customer service, they would not have a job without the veterans. Social services are uninformed on procedures, many of the staff lack… communication skills in English, and appear to have no real job other hanging around the hallways. I have observed this on all of my visits. Management needs to take action and fix these problems.
Cant ever set an appointment, phone just hangs up instead of transfering. Have to show up in person to set an appointment 6 months later, that they ALWAYS cancel and reschedule months later.
I was treated at lake baldwin VA surgical center for melanoma and basil cell carcinoma. What a great and professional experience. Dr O'laughlin was amazing, we discussed what was to be done and he did exactly that, and… keeps it simple but plans for every scenario. He puts you at ease with his professionalism, knowledge and confidence from years of experience. The anesthesia dept was just as amazing. And of course the back bone of my procedure were all my nurses and support staff, they were as good as it gets. Thank you. Harold Hendricks
