About Midtown Health Center – Madison

Midtown Health Center operates from 222 Main Street in Madison. The site sits in Madison County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Licensing and Accreditation

Joint Commission Accredited RehabJoint CommissionAccreditedAn independent US body that inspects healthcare organisations against national safety and quality standards. Accreditation is voluntary, costs the facility money, and is renewed every three years.
NCQA Accredited RehabNCQAAccreditedThe National Committee for Quality Assurance accredits healthcare organisations on quality measurement and patient care processes. Voluntary.
Federal ProgramCertifiedMeets federal requirements to receive Medicare or Medicaid funding, which carries conditions on staffing, safety and record keeping.
SAMHSA ListedSAMHSAListedThe facility appears in the federal treatment locator maintained by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. It is a record that the facility exists and reports its services, not an assessment of quality.

Treatment Services at Midtown Health Center

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Midtown Health Center Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 222 Main Street, Madison, NE 68748, in Madison County. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. It is worth checking which entrance to use and where parking sits before a first appointment.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

This place was so unprofessional. I live out of town and I took off work early to go to this appointment. When I arrived to the appointment they told me the appointment was in Norfolk. I had called the Madison facility… and made the appointment for there or so I thought because no one told me it would be in Norfolk!! The ladies in the front office just laughed at my family and I.
