Damon is a great counselor. He listens and has the skill and knowledge to guide me in how to see how I can solve the issues I can to him to get help with He’s patient and able to always discuss the matters with… knowledge and understanding to help Glad to meet with him He’s a great asset to your company
I recently completed an 8-week Group IOP with Damon Winter focused on learning DBT skills, and I’m truly grateful for the experience. Going into it, I was honestly pretty hesitant about being part of a group, but that… quickly changed. Over the 8 weeks, I grew to really look forward to the sessions, felt supported, and learned so much. The DBT skills and tools I gained have given me a better understanding of myself and practical ways to handle challenges moving forward. This experience has been extremely helpful in setting me up for success as I transition into individual therapy. I’m so thankful I took the chance and stuck with it. What I was initially unsure about ended up being something I really valued, and I’m leaving the program with a lot of knowledge, growth, and hope for what comes next. I’m very grateful to Damon and the group for being such an important part of that journey.
I admitted to my therapist, that I have a well developed skill. Crafted over decades of therapy. Of successfully manipulating Therapists. Ive never let that card slip before. First Therapist Ive ever shared that with. I… did so intentionally, so she can call me out on my shit..... Well today my Therapist called me out on my shit. I had no defense . I had to acknowledge it. I couldnt even be mad. That was really cool. Thank you.
Damon was a wonderful instructor. Damon and Aiden were both very helpful and reassuring in the process. Starting felt very intimidating but Damon made it a comfortable transition and a safe space for me to talk about… issues in my life/questions in general. He is very personable, professional, and funny (which makes the class enjoyable). I would recommend Damon at transitions to anyone looking for group therapy. It was truly a rewarding and wonderful experience.
My counselor is very easy to talk to. She helped me understand my feelings. Gave me lots of guidance to help me handle my anxiety. The experience is very calming and so is the atmosphere. Highly recommend!
My experience at TC&C has been very pleasant. Highly recommended.
This is a great place to go. Very helpful for me
It has helped me so much understand what I need to learn I have done counseling before but nothing like this then it never helped or I felt worst after, this had been an awesome path to healing for me!
Very warm and welcoming! I look forward to therapy now!
It was my first appointment so I wasn’t sure quite what to expect. The room was comfortable and Lexus was very personable. I felt comfortable in opening up about some of my personal experiences and feelings. I look… forward to my future appointments.
Damon Winter is n exceptional therapist, too include being a Veteran he completely understands PTSD and has helped me on my rough journey and completely guides me and provides me with the tools on this lifelong walk.… Couldn't asked or been paired with anyone better
Abigail is amazing!! She makes me feel heard and gives great insight and perspectives.
The staff is so amazing and kind! They made me feel welcomed. The office is such a calming and comfortable setting.
I love going to Transitions Counseling! They have many amazing therapists and an excellent IOP program. I’d highly recommend Transitions Counseling to anyone interested in mental health help. If you’re struggling don’t… be afraid to ask for support.
I cannot say enough great things about Transitions Counseling and the staff at this location. When I first reached out to Transitions, I was at my lowest point and wasn't sure if I was going to make it through my… depression. From the moment I called to set up my appointment I felt seen and validated. The entire process was smooth and made me feel very secure. I started the Intensive Outpatient Treatment, with Damon Winter as the facilitator. As expected, I was very nervous to start my first day as I had never been part of a group therapy before. Damon made sure to give me a tour and help me get settled in. The other people in my group really made me feel comfortable sharing my experiences and my feelings. I found it very helpful to have peers around me sharing their experiences as well. It made me feel less "crazy" to know that there are others who feel the same way I have been feeling. This program has changed my life dramatically, I would even say my life did a complete 180 turn. Before IOP, I wasn't sure how much longer I could make it..After group I know that I can handle anything with the tools that I have learned with Damon Winter's help. My quality of life is amazing now and my relationships have been thriving. These are things that I struggled with prior to IOP. I have also made life-long friendships in IOP that I treasure. Damon Winter has a great way of relaying information, which was extremely helpful in understanding the curriculum. I still see Damon Winter for individual counseling and I hope to continue for a long time. He makes me feel seen, validated, and understood. He has helped me not feel like I'm not "crazy" and that I can confidently navigate my life, even with my mental illnesses. Plus, there's snacks(= If you are on the fence about starting IOP or any counseling with this facility, I urge you to try. Transitions has saved my life, and I mean that.
I can’t begin to describe what their virtual outpatient gave to me. The lead facilitator, Michelle, and the intern, Michelle, gave me support that resonated exactly the way I needed it to every time. I felt safe, I felt… supported, and I felt understood. Something I’ve disliked about all my therapy in the past is that it’s never been sufficiently action-oriented. Yes, maybe there was compassion. Yes, there was the exploration of my past to help me understand how I got here. But it has always stopped there. This program pointed me, step by step, how to climb my way out of a self-aware, yet never-ending, spiral. Further, I believe they made every patient feel as comfortable as I felt, and it gave everyone permission to be vulnerable, authentic, and show up exactly as they are. The other patients’ ability to show their uninhibited depth gave me permission to do the same. I can’t recommend their IOP program enough, and I’m eternally grateful for all it gave me.
Prompt and Professional support and counseling experience each time. I would recommend this center to my friends and everyone else. 😁
I was so apprehensive about starting this therapy and thinking I would not fit in. Damon made me feel very welcome and so did all the other participants. I feel like I gained not only valuable techniques, but a great… deal of confidence! I would highly recommend this class to anyone who has the need to learn more about your mental health and how you can participate more in your own life. It is a big commitment to attend 3 nights a week, but it was worth the sacrifices when I look at all I walked away with at the end of the program!
The therapists here are phenomenal. They want you to finally win and they have the skills and styles of therapy that can truly help. In my life they’ve changed everything. I will forever be thankful.
Signed up for the Employee Assistance Help opportunity through my workplace that allows an employee 3 free mental health sessions. Went through the helpline for local references for therapists. They directed me to this… place. I was given a pre screening consultation over zoom with a staff member who was new and didn't have many answers to my questions. He assigned me to a therapist and scheduled me for a in person session. I called and canceled the appointment and they charged me $65 for a no show. I called and disputed it multiple times and canceled all other appointments. The billing department finally took off the $65 after 2 months. Now I just received a bill for $250 for the pre-screening. I have never stopped foot in this office and I am being harassed to pay for serviced that were supposed to be provided to me under a complimentary health care act for employees. This all started in October and they are still trying to bill me. This not the place you go for support. This is the place that will just exacerbate your mental and financial problems. Your better off anywhere else but here.
Very welcoming and warm. Truly cares about me as an individual. Jacci is always listening and kind!!
Kind, patient and very knowledgeable. One of the best therapists I have worked with. Highly recommend!
Veterans helping Veterans great idea. Damon is the best.
I like the therapist I am working with. She’s understanding, patient and skilled. However I do not like that there is no one present in reception area, just an iPad sign in
We’re so happy with Transitions Counseling! My daughter loves having someone objective to discuss her challenges and get advice on solutions in her life. Thank you to the wonderful staff. It has taken us awhile to find… you, but so glad we finally did!
My initial visit to Transitions counseling was good and bad. The bad first. When I arrived, there was no one attending the front reception area, behind the glass. A 3-5 minutes later, the receptionist came in from… outside, but didn't acknowledge anyone in the waiting area. Kinda odd. Maybe a hello, your therapist will be with you shortly or any acknowledgement would be a nice jester. Now the good. My therapist Jacci, was great. She greeted me and had a pleasant demeanor. She was professional, personable and very thorough during my initial assessment.
