Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Common questions about Luxury GEHA

Answered from what is listed here.

Is GEHA the same as UnitedHealthcare?

No, GEHA is an independent not-for-profit association, founded in 1937 and based in Lee's Summit, Missouri. GEHA uses the UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus network in Virginia, and UnitedHealthcare underwrites GEHA's group Medicare Advantage plan, but GEHA sets its own benefits and has no parent company.

How do you find a Virginia luxury rehab in the GEHA network?

Use Find Care at geha.com, which has a separate behavioral health provider search, and choose the search for your own GEHA option. GEHA advises confirming network status with the program itself, so ask the Virginia admissions team to run your benefits before admission.

Does GEHA cover detox at a luxury rehab in Virginia?

Yes, GEHA covers medically necessary detox in Virginia as part of inpatient or sub-acute inpatient care, with precertification before admission. An emergency detox admission must be reported to GEHA within two business days.

Many upscale programs start with supervised detox, since withdrawal from alcohol or benzodiazepines can be medically serious.

Detox programs in Virginiahttps://rehabseekers.com/locations/us/virginia/detox-va/

GEHA, the Government Employees Health Association, sells fee-for-service plans with a PPO network to federal employees, postal workers, retirees and their families through the Federal Employees Health Benefits and Postal Service Health Benefits programs. In Virginia, every GEHA option uses the UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus network, so a program’s place in that network decides much of what a stay costs.

Because GEHA plans are PPO-style, several options pay part of the cost at an out-of-network program, which matters at private residential programs in rehab programs in Vienna, treatment listings in Tysons and rehab options in Reston that may sit outside the network. The out-of-network share is much higher, and one option may not pay out of network at all.

GEHA benefits are the same in every state, and the plans are contracted through the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, which publishes the brochures. The 2026 brochures changed several figures, so a Virginia member who last read a 2025 brochure may find higher deductibles and coinsurance this year.
