I was a patient there about three and a half months ago. It's taking me this long to write this review because I wanted to cool down. Here is the truth. They are extremely short staffed, they cannot keep a full staff… either in clinical or in the medical side. They're doctor NEVER SEES PATIENCE and NURSE PRACTITIONER does video calls from texas. Neither the doctor or nurse practitioner are in virginia. And they both have two campus of veterans to deal with. I was told multiple times by the medical staff that I was a liar, and I didn't know what I was talking about.Even when I proved they were wrong along with the urgent care doctor that agreed with me and told me to file report with the nursing board in virginia.. They gave the wrong the medication to me, lied about medication they couldn't find. And they gave other patients double the blood pressure medication when I was there. Again There is no doctor on staff in virginia. So that one doctor has two campuses of patients to deal with, which is impossible and he's in Texas. Worse medical care than the va. When I was there three different clinical workers , ie substance abuse, mental health counselors quit and left other staff Extremely overwhelmed. The food is amazing. The amenities are amazing. If they have them. When I was there, the art teacher quit due to issues wih upper management on the grounds, and the art program was closed. The dog program had issues with there dogs, biting 3 different people within the two months I was there. They keep them locked up in kennels in extreme heat. It is not the dog's fault. And they also charge 3500 dollars for a pound puppy that knows how to sit.You can ask denise the canine lady if she's happy to be there. She is fed up with higher management, cutting corners with the dogs. I'll be surprised if she's still there today. August 12th 2026. And they took away the horses, except one day out the week. The owner tom[ the famous delta operator] talk's a good game. But when it comes down to it, he's just about the money. This place could be something special if they paid the money to get good people To work there. But instead, they pay everybody's salary and make them work 50+ hours with crazy case loads. and then quit. The one good counsel they had chris was sick of it and took a job someplace else. So I can only imagine they're even shorter staff now. And if you go there thinking they will hire another veteran like chris, you are wrong. They are bringing in young right out of school counselors that have no real world experiences with veterans that need clinical hours. And yes, I saw this first hand with my own eyes, when I was there.I saw chris's replacement. They also tell you on the phone that they're gonna help with your PTSD nope. You will only get one hour one session a week for PTSD which is not enough. And they will tell you, they're all about helping you with the PTSD on the phone to get you there. They'll tell you this little spule that i'm about to explain. If the caseload drops below eight, your counselor can see you more than once a week. But what they don't tell you is they're understaffed, so the counselors will never have a caseload under eight. Happen to everybody when I was there even me. And the last part of this is for the warriors heart staff there. I dare you to try and Lie about this on your rebuttal., on here. I will rain down Hell on you.If you try to lie to these veterans that are trying to get help. Unlike you I care about my fellow vets, and will stand with them and fight for them. Tom must have forgotten about that somewhere. You should really think twice about what you're about to say in your rebuttal. Actions have consequences. And one last thing, if you think i'm full of shit, that's okay. Go read what the employees wrote about this place on indeed and other reviews site for employees. And if you warriors heart , want to try to mislead these veterans about those reviews. I will be happy to do another Add-on to this review. And show which reviews are from management and above.

Saved my marriage and my life. If you are ready to give up on struggling with addiction and take the plunge into sobriety then this is the best place to do so for active duty military, veterans and first responders.

This location has amazing amenities, but they DO NOT treat PTSD. They treat drug use and maybe PTSD on the side if you have that. It ruins all hope for veterans with PTSD that actively avoid drugs because of any and all… past addiction problems. Maybe to receive some help I should just go get addicted, then maybe I’ll be set as a priority.

If you are looking for a place with honest people who dedicate their heart and soul to their passion. That passion being helping those who have helped others without hesitation. This facility is nothing, but love,… compassion and being able to get through the tough times and bring out the Warrior Inside. Life is hard, but” You are tougher!”. This stunningly beautiful property is unlike any other treatment facility. They take the hospital vibes out of it, And, bring back humanity, your inner spirit, and the hero that all military, first responders, law-enforcement truly are.

When you step onto the Warriors Heart Virginia campus, you are immediately met with a sense of calmness and serenity. The trees, lake, and landscaping create an atmosphere that is really soul insulating. Each of the… staff members are subject master experts in their field and are able to navigate the clients through their 6 week program with love, ease, and grace. All of the small details put into this campus make a difference in the healing at Warriors Heart, right down to the very first step one takes when you arrive: a sign that says "Welcome Home."

Warrior's Heart in Virginia saved my life. I had high expectations going into treatment there, and they exceeded my expectations completely. The staff and clinicians are amazing, and each one of them truly care about… the warriors. They take the time to get to know you on a personal level. If you are in the military, a veteran, or first responder, and need help with addiction, Warrior's Heart is the absolute best option.

I have never seen such an amazing place. I have visited with my family and friends and the experience was out of the world. The place is so serene, peaceful and as suggested truly disconnected from outer world. The… place was so clean, lake was beautiful, trail was moderately good so kids enjoyed a lot, and the place has lots of indoor activities to do like volleyball, table tennis, pool table, board games. It's a place where I would go every few month just to relax and away from everyone. Rooms are very clean, bathroom are clean as well. You can do boating, play basketball, volleyball and badminton. There is trail to walk… and bicycling too. There are horses where kids and adults can walk them and paddling.
