Gooden Wellness Center 4 – Pasadena

Really disappointed spent $3,000.00 with insurance. Rehab stay less than 30 days needed way more time. What kind of program is this....only about money if ask me and kept stressing How out patient is FREE DUH...go on… your own time can go to any meeting for free....look elsewhere my advice

The Gooden Center has been an incredible source of support during one of the most challenging periods of my life. The sense of community here is something truly special, and from day one I felt welcomed, supported, and… understood. A special thank you to my therapist, Rachel Taylor, who truly went above and beyond throughout my time here. She challenged me and helped me see perspectives I never would have considered on my own, and gave me the tools to continue grow. What felt overwhelming at the beginning became a smooth transition because of her guidance, patience, and genuine care. I highly recommend the Gooden Center to anyone seeking support. I'm incredibly grateful for everything I've learned here, and while I'm excited for what's next, I'm genuinely sad to be leaving. Thank you to everyone who made such a positive impact on my journey.

The six months I spent at the Gooden Center were absolutely life changing. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and caring. I thank God for every day I had there.

I just completed 120 days in detox and recovery, and I’m incredibly grateful for every single person I met along the way. This journey showed me that alcoholism is a real disease, and recovery isn’t something we can… always do alone. With the right help, healing is possible. I want to thank the Gooden Center and all the organizations, staff, and people who supported me during the hardest time of my life. Because of you, I was able to get my life back—stronger and better than when I left. I became part of a brotherhood of men uplifting each other. This new lifestyle, the bonds I created with the staff, and the constant support I received are things I will always cherish in my heart. Thank you all for giving me my life back. ❤️

I am not satisfied with the care I received at this facility. The nurses did not provide medications while following proper hygiene standards. Additionally, the psychologist did not listen to me or take my concerns… seriously.

Not a good place. They neglect thier clients.

Great place, can be a little too lenient at times however.

My time at the Gooden Center was life-changing. It wasn’t perfect - no where is. But in my experience with my own mental health journey and having helped an ex-partner through their path to sobriety I can say this… facility was far more compassionate and patient-focused than any other I met with. The focus was on mental wellbeing and not solely sobriety. The seemed to tailor their approach to the individual. Meals were decent, accommodations were not 4-star but it isn’t a vacation.

Pts are incredible working tirelessly! However, the psychiatry Dept Greg is lacking all the way around, I was there for 1.5 months and saw the resident psychiatrist a total of 3x, where as he went on leave/vacation on 2… separate occasions for 1 week each 14 days costing my insurance company $750x14=$10,500.00 ta da!!!!!! Something’s not right here! So I’m out!

I went to La Crescenta. I often think about the time I spent there and sometimes wish I could go back. I loved my time there. Staff was friendly, the therapist was great, food was okay, and I benefited from having some… structure in my day. It changed my life and I could not recommend it enough.

MONEY HUNGRY - THEY DO NOT TAKE MEDI-CAL . THERE YOU HAVE IT . PROFIT BASED COMPANY PLAIN AND SIMPLE . IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT GO RGHT AHEAD

Dreadful. I dont know and cant speak about the effectivrness of recovery. I CAN speak abpit thier toxic Psychiatrist. I CAN speak aboit getting 4 or 5 calls per day from thjs place... the MD is a joke. She dpesnt access… patient documentation to knpw what medkcation a patient takes which is so unsafe. She will yell at you and become disrespectful and lie IF you cask questions or disagree with her unsafe behavior. I wouldnt trust a dovtor that cant communicate respectfully with my care. Up to you if you choose to.

I'm currently attending the gooden center. It's been an amazing time Going for my recovery and doing the 12 steps. Much appreciate the staff there and I'm glad I'm finally seeking the help I needed. Strongly recommend… this place if struggling with any addiction.

I stayed there for three months the therapist are professionals but a lot of the other staff is very unprofessional and work from a counterintuitive level ,I felt progress in my overall wellness but felt very… uncomfortable and was harassed and bullied by the non therapist employees in the transition living the best care is kind and overwhelming clients with petty approaches and neglect is very confusing during mental health inpatient treatment Iwas really insulated and hurting the process I exercise pacient communication and have to take my life forward without out the overall disenfranchised wellness I experienced .

This place has such a good vibe & great fellowship. It really helped me out when I most needed it.

Pro’s: This is a special place. Go in and talk to the people that work at The Gooden Center. It is clear these people live recovery. Talk to them about what it takes to be successful with recovery. Talk to them about… the alumni that stay involved. Con’s: No hot tubs, no acupressure or Massage Treatment.

The Gooden center is one of the few places that focus on recovery for the alcoholic/addict. Placed in a safe environment in the beautiful city of Pasadena CA! I've met a number of men come out of their with a strong… foundation, with the help of the alumni to guide them through the process with work in the big book of Alcoholics Anonymous, I highly recommended this place for anyone struggling with alcoholism and/or addiction
