They have excellent hospital and Physical therapy sessions My first day of physical therapy was a good experience I got to meet the therapist for my evaluation she's very respectful I will definitely continue with there… therapy sessions
process of getting transferred from the ER to another ward took from 5am to almost 11pm. treatment felt unethical at some points and some staff were very patronizing. avoid this place at all costs.
I was admitted in Ambulance unfortunately to this Hospital . I had a accident got ran over by a biker sometime in August 2026 , all my left side was hit my elbow was scraped from the biker and ground I was in so much… pain I was put in the waiting room to be check for my vitals and ask what happened to me . Finally I was put on a room that I could hear the all the loud staff in the background and a loud TV I had to ask it please be turned off. My nurse was not compassionate or helpful when I needed to get up to go to the bathroom? she did not assisted me to direct me to be next to my side in case I passed out I could Barely walk on my feet my . The suppose Dr Weber suggested a CT scan I refuse because I felt I did not need it me mentioned I Could be paralyze or dye yhe next day when I wake up they got to make sure I was fine. I spoke to doctor that had walk on my own with out help he would come back with a wheelchair to see how I stand or walk on my own he never show his face again , only the nurse and that because I call her several times until she show up .I had another patient next to me she was having a hard time breathing and she threw up no one came to Help I drag my self to press the call button no one came after 10 minutes thru finally help her . Just from being there I got stress and anxiety it was not physical more of mental just being in a place where people don't care about their patients treat them With respect or dignity I felt terrible I planned to Leave and get my CT scan in another hospital the nurse released me the doctor never show his face to see me . I don't know how people can be doctors or nurses with out caring it's all About money .I call and email the patient relations to file a complaint I have every right to leave after I experience the worst treatment . A Hospital is a place to be cared not humiliated they are only good to billed you for their services don't come here they don't care for your well-being.
So I’ve lived in the local area for 22 years and raised three kids here. And my overwhelming experience at Huntington has been bad. The wait times and the care in the emergency room is awful. Multiple times they… misdiagnosed my young daughters kidney disease. We got accurately diagnosed in the emergency room at Verdugo Hills Hospital, which was a lifesaver. My elderly mom lives locally in Pasadena and we went to the ER last night (bp 80/47 and very low sodium from CHF from Lasix) and my mom a former ICU nurse had to literally rip out her own IV because after almost 6 hours nobody he had even given her lab results or seen her so she left. The nurses and doctors didn’t even care. What kind of nursing staff lets an 88-year-old woman take out her IV line? Staff seemed far too busy socializing. Seriously, they were gathered in multiple places in the hall, laughing and joking. Shift change probably took an hour. In the future we will be using VHH.
Only thing I don't like is paying for Parking when you got love ones here in bad shape. Shame on you and the city of Pasadena! They could at the very least validate Parking! It's just all about the greed! Smh.. but… other then that it's a great hospital. Very clean. And nice staff.
I call 911 when my dad was having serious stomach pain, they drove him to this hospital I drove as fast as I could from Glendale to meet him at the hospital. We had no insurance, this happened back at around 2022 we are… Mexicans that paid for ER treatment over $1200 and spend less than 3 hrs., there was an African American woman nurse that was really polite but White doctor gave a shoot to ease the pain from my dad but was very rude didn't talk to us at all, and left. Horrible experience. People just drive to hospital angeles in Tijuana, is a top tier hospital with decent customer service and way better than this hospital, better prepared doctors and more professional as well as the customer service, trust me.
Title: Beautiful facility, but the pick-up process is deeply frustrating Huntington Hospital boasts a magnificent façade, with its grand hoop driveway and beautiful, wisteria-draped trellises making a striking first… impression. My mother has been a patient here many times over the years, and I have always appreciated the aesthetic of the building. However, the experience of picking up patients has become incredibly difficult. While I understand the hospital’s commitment to safety, the current process feels unnecessarily restrictive. Between navigating mandatory metal detectors and dealing with a complete lack of adequate parking for those trying to pick up loved ones, the logistical burden is overwhelming. I have personally been waiting for 45 minutes today just to pick up my mother—a situation that is far from ideal. It is disappointing to see that the functional side of the hospital has not kept pace with its physical beauty. I truly hope the administration finds a way to balance necessary security measures with a more accessible and patient-friendly pick-up process.
Avoid this hospital if you need actual medical care. Nurses are incredibly incompetent, have zero idea what they are doing. If you have a true emergency, ask to be taken somewhere else.
Updated information for everyone who posted their reviews on Huntington Hospital To report issues regarding patient care, safety, discharge procedures, or staff misconduct at a hospital in California, there are a few… primary state and local agencies depending on what you are reporting: California Department of Public Health (CDPH) – Licensing & Certification How to file: Online via the CDPH Cal Health Find portal. Call LA County Health Facilities Inspection at (800) 228-1019 or (626) 569-3724. Medical Board of California How to file: Online via the BreEZe System at breeze.ca.gov. Call the Consumer Information Unit at (800) 633-2322 California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Role: Investigates complaints specifically against individual registered nurses regarding safety or unprofessional conduct. How to file: Online via breeze.ca.gov or through the Board of Registered Nursing portal. The Joint Commission (Accreditation Body) Role: An independent non-profit that accredits hospitals. They accept reports on severe patient safety or quality of care concerns. How to file: Online at jointcommission.org or by calling (800) 994-6610 Unfortunately, nothing has changed. During a recent admission from August 2 , 2026– August 4, 2026 (West Tower Building, 5th Floor) the day/night staff shift nurses exact same patterns occurred. Call lights were ignored, and my discharge on August 4 , 2026 was completely unacceptable. Despite clear "Fall Risk" signage outside my door, severe shortness of breath, fatigue, and visible edema (swelling) in both feet, the nurse assistant standing in my room on her phone offered zero physical assistance. She rushed me, ignored my physical distress, and did not lift a finger to help me stand or safely transfer to a wheelchair. Reading other patient reviews. I would press the call button , because my bedside commode was never check for hours and empty. Unfortunately , I had to smell the stink and smell in my hospital room this is very disgusting. Particularly regarding PureWick neglect and unanswered call lights—confirms this is an ongoing, systemic issue with floor staff and nursing assistants. Leaving vulnerable cardiac and fall-risk patients in soaked bedding and failing to assist with safe transfers is dangerous medical neglect. Hospital leadership needs to address staff accountability and basic patient care immediately.
I had a incredibly disappointing experience at this emergency room. I sat in the waiting room in severe pain for over five hours, and unfortunately, heard the same complaints from almost everyone else waiting. The staff… showed a complete lack of empathy; whenever anyone asked for help, they were simply brushed off with 'I can't help you, I'm not a nurse or a doctor.' The communication and patient care here desperately need improvement.
I recently spent a night at Huntington Hospital and received exceptional care from Hortencia and Teresa, the Registered Nurses on the West wing. These two are truly outstanding; they didn't just perform their… duties—they showed genuine, authentic compassion throughout my stay. I felt incredibly well-cared for and truly appreciated their dedication and determination to ensure my comfort and recovery. They are a credit to the hospital. Kudos to them both. Francisco Collazo
I have been a patient at the hospital for numerous surgeries as well as using their imaging and testing services. And I was very satisfied with their services and care However, Since takeover by Cedars Sinai I have lost… all respect for their care. It is impossible to talk to a person or even a providers office - seems all calls go through a call center. I had to call to get results of testing done at the Imaging center sent to my orthopedic doctor. And finally after going through hoops to get links to the tests I am told the drs office doesn’t have an email for me to send those links to. Ridiculous. And frightening. If they can’t get their administrative processes to be easy and streamlined I can only imagine that the level of patient care has also deteriorated. I am saddened to see the quality of this healthcare facility fall so low
Worst hospital I've ever been to. Pain doctor Rudy literally told me she didn't care about what I had say, none of the doctors were on the same page. then ask if I wanted back surgery.... um hell no... i had a intern… tell me i needed stomach surgery but no gi came to explain why.. i was there 9 days and begged for a shower, it wasn't in the doctors orders..... I will say the Nurses were phenomenal. Ivy and Warren worst case managers whoever is over them needs to reevaluate, very unprofessional... Mind you I had broke 3 place in back and fractured my.
Saved my life!!! I'm forever grateful for the team of medical personnel that cared for me in March of 2020 when I arrived in a coma
Huntington Hospital provided excellent care during our stay. The doctors, nurses, and staff were compassionate, attentive, and kept us informed every step of the way. The only downside was the parking it can be… challenging and expensive for families spending long days at the hospital. Other than that, our experience was very positive, and we’re grateful for the care we received.
Pros: clean modern facility, convenient location Cons: chaotic and disorganized, bare minimum care, some staff are unprofessional and incompetent, expensive parking, affiliated with cedars-sinai
This is a nice clean hospital. But when you go there, you have to wait minimum of 5 hours After\n They found the result they will come and talk to you. And they are not sure if that is the Cause
Terrible bedside manner by the gastroenterologist doctors. Terribly rude, considering. Definitely avoid
So grateful for the staff at this hospital. Living in SoCal, their care and empathy almost threw me off! It was a wonderful experience.
Just donated blood. RN Nobel was super nice, skillful and efficient. Huntington is a treasure of our community! Btw, blood and platelets are always urgently needed, in case you’re able.
Prejudiced passive aggressive staff disrespectful. Security assaulted and harassed me.
Worst place ever do not take your loved ones here. Emergency alarms ignored ... Yes dead alarm ringing over two hrs
My wife and I recently welcomed our first child at HH. Our experience was a stark mix of wonderful care and severe disappointment. The Good: First, we want to give a massive shout-out to Maile and Stephanie and some… other nurses/staff who took care of us! They were absolutely amazing during our first two days. They were incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive, making us feel safe and cared for as we welcomed our newborn. They truly have a passion for their patients. The Bad: Unfortunately, our experience shifted drastically on our final day with our nurse, Purdy. She introduced herself at 7 AM and then completely vanished. She did not check on us, offer reassurance, or provide basic postpartum support a single time throughout the day until she returned at 5:00 PM for discharge. To make matters worse, when we preparing to leave and asked for extra basic necessary supplies (A&D ointment, wipes, and formula) to help us transition through our first week at home, Purdy was incredibly stingy and dismissive. She acted as though the supplies were coming out of her own pocket, refusing to provide what we needed. It simply seems like Purdy was just a lazy nurse doing the minimum to collect paychecks. The contrast between Purdy's minimal effort and the wonderful care we received from Maile and Stephanie was disappointing. We hope hospital management reviews Purdy's patient care standards, as new parents deserve far more support than she provided.
I had an endoscopy done at this location, the staff were very caring and did a great job. Hospital itself is very clean and beautiful!
If they offer for you to see an NP instead of your PCP, do not accept. If your insurance is anything like mine, it will mean paying twice as much for a visit with someone who isn't even an MD. Highly frustrating… experience when I'm hit with a bit that is double my usual copay for a 20 min visit (I learned after spending hours on the phone trying to understand this is that it is because an NP technically counts as a specialist visit). When people talk about how the US medical system is broken, this is a great example. I'm changing providers and done with this place.
Friendly hygienic got rid of a blood clot in my lung thank you thank you very much
I had to bring my mother to the ER and we were scene by the x/ray tech within 30 minutes. Staff was empathetic and Mindful. My mother had a bed with the next 30 mins and she was scheduled for surgery first thing in the… morning. I am beyond grateful and thankful for all the doctors help. 10/10
Recently we switched out of Kaiser, so when my son broke his finger I didn’t know where to go and we ended up at Huntington. The check in process was simple and nurses were kind but as the hours progressed and we… waited, the waiting room filled with people smelling like alcohol and drugs. The security guard had to keep a close eye on the place. We were waiting for a simple xray and after 3 hours, past midnight I started to go ask nurses. Finally after asking a second nurse we were taken to radiology and got a spot in the hallway. The doctor comes over to meet us and asks “why do you think his finger is broken?” Even though it was so evident on the xray that even I could see the break. I asked him if he had seen the x-ray yet and he hadn’t. Some time later he comes to say he doesn’t feel comfortable fixing a child’s finger and tells us he cannot do anything for us and we should go to a “child finger specialist”. The next day we went to children’s hospital and they were able to fix his finger. But then we received the bills. Huntington has charged us over $2200 for that experience. They say because we spoke to the doctor that is what they charge. It is utter madness (children’s hospital bills came to $900 and they fixed his finger). If you have children I would recommend not going here.
