Probably the most unprofessional place I've ever been. There's a male staff member whom made disrespectful remarks regarding clients and even going so far as to bet that they'll be etc. They treat NA and AA like the… chips and bloods. If you're not apart of their fellowship you will not be taken seriously. I had a counselor tell me I would get shot on the streets because of my mouth..A COUNSELOR!!!!. I even watched the same.male tech buy different boys clothing, hats etc but he would only do this for males he was attracted to ,the women were treated like a dog. He swore I would fail and here I am 1 year still sober. Do yourself a favor mcleod FIRE LEWIS AND DIANA
I have a friend that staying up there and everytime we are on the phone someone is prevoking him to get angry. I hear everything that lady tell him on the phone, then its a man same thing. Evertime they giving him a… hard time. We be on phone not even 5 minutes. There are 3 ppl in that place always give him a hard time the councilor believe the workers more than the person getting help. This is pure sad that ppl come to a place and can not get to help from the staff because the staff is prejudice. Yes i said it.. prejudice.. These people come to these place get help and be treated like equal as a person but when you got a staff that makes it hard. Ppl will not get heal... I believe this place is the worst place anybody can go to. I work for a lawyer believe me. If it was me. I file a complaint.. I hope that the manger of this place gets this situation fix about his staff because a law suit could happen. I've never stayed in a place like this. But its sad knowing we got family members going to these places and there treated bad just because of there habits.
Great place!
What are the days and times they do walk in assessments for probation?
I haven't been to the new McLeod I went to the old one but I have to say what you put in your recovery is what you get out of it. Change is hard but every treatment facility I've been to has saved my life! Thank you for… Treatment! Also Meeka worked at the old one not sure if she works at the new one but she is AMAZING! She saved my life and my brothers life ❤️❤️❤️
Excellent place to rehabilitate and become a better person.
Will never go back to the 28 day program
Great People, Staff is Perfection at work... They will help you if you let them! Get put of your own way, do what they tell you and you WILL be fixed ok. 😎👍✌️
Was assaulted by A MAN...nothing was done until I CALLED HIM A NAME...I have been advised to retain an attorney because of the simple fact, they didn't even call the police
McCloud center has been a safe and positive place for me since I stopped using street drugs .This has been a positive place for my well-being.
Zero stars!! Charlotte staff very unprofessional and unreliable
Saved my life
I would give no stars if it were a choice. I was at the Concord location on Copperfield blvd. This facility claims to help people in need. The staff is unknowledgeable, untrained, irresponsible, and not qualified to… administer the “medication” they claim helps people. They are so unqualified in fact that they almost killed me. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! Anything, I repeat ANYTHING is better than the severe lack of care you will receive here. They sent me home and by the time I got home I was convulsing, eyes rolling in the back of my head, irresponsible; I spent yesterday in the ER. THAT WAS ANOTHER NIGHTMARE IN AND OF ITSELF!! THese people do not care, they do not know the possibility of rare traumatic side effects, and they should be shut down indefinitely!!!!!
Great company, with amazing and highly experienced staff. Excellent place!
My name is William Stanley, I went into treatment at McLeod addictive disease center in Charlotte North Carolina on or about December 9th 2019. I went door to door from atrium healthcare, McLeod knew my serious medical… heart condition when they accepted me there, and I was discriminated against, retaliating against and harassed due to my medical disabilities i.e., heart disease and congestive heart failure which I've had five heart attacks and 6 stents documented. McLeod violated my privacy /HIPPA laws by giving my information to another agency without my permission. I participated and only asked to take breaks on free time , at first they were accommodating , yet after I caught a cold with flu like symptoms and I went to my doctor because it continued to get worse and he put me on bed rest for 2 today's,yet staff told me that if I chose to follow my doctor's instructions my doctor's instructions that they would medically discharged me even though I caught the cold from their facility in which half the residents were sick at McLeod. McLeod put me out in the cold knowing I'm homeless. They put in a referral to a place in South Carolina knowing that that was I old stomping grounds and I was avoiding going to SC altogether which is why I came to NC, as I wanted to have a fresh start in a different state where I could make new friends and new places. Furthermore they knew I was trying to get my disability and food stamps started so I could get housing health insurance etc so I wouldn't have to go back to my old ways of making money, etc. I'm now homeless back in my old neighborhood , struggling to stay clean, all because of discrimination, retaliation for filling grievances and wanting to follow my doctor's advice. I was constantly harassed by staff, and was only giving 15 minutes to vacate the premises. I'm contacting attorneys, using social media, and filing grievances with every entity to bring attention to how I was treated in hopes that this won't happen to anyone else. I am a gay man and I feel that I have been discriminated against, retaliated against, harassed, etc. Furthermore McLeod violated HIPPA laws and gave my information out to another agency without my approval. I ask that those who donate and or help McLeod with funding that you pull all support from this organization
This Place changed my life
Worst people ever.
I want to start by saying the staff at McLeod Center in Boone are the most professional, nicest people you will meet. I cant say the same for the people who are at the top of the ladder, they care about nothing but… money. They informed us last week 5-20-19 that McLeod Center of Boone would be closing its doors forever on July 1st 2019. This place has been open for 17 years, I've been a patient for 9 years. Apparently they arent making enough money off the 160 patient's they have, first they were going to start charging money for Take Home bottles for people who have Medicaid, then they came back and put that policy on Hold, 2 weeks later they tell us clients they are closing down. There are only 3 counselors, 2 nurses, 1 Drug Screen monitor and 1 lady at the front desk, but apparently they would not be making enough profit off of this clinics 160 Patients so they decided to close the doors. They sent a letter recommending that switch to their Lenior clinic, which has not been open but a few years, or one of their other clinics that are over 50 miles away. They say they are consolidating their western region, if that's the case why keep Lenior open when the Hickory Clinic is fairly close by?? I live 35 miles from McLeod Center Boone, and chose to remain in treatment there because I felt comfortable my counselor and it was alot safer than the Clinic run by another company in North Wilkesboro that is only 3 miles from my home. The upper management at McLeod used to be kind, caring people. The doctors they brought in used to be nice as well, but the past few years it's all went downhill. Now they care more about making a profit even though they used to advertise they were non profit.
The reason i gave one star is because of the financial people not taking their job seriously. I don't get behind on paying them my money on a daily basis, so they shouldn't get behind on filing my insurance in a timely… manner! Why is nothing done to the person that only works when she feels like it. It's pretty bad when the people that work at the other location tell you, "good luck" on trying to get reimbursement!
Been going to McLeod for 10 months now and staff is friendly and caring. If you need help with other things while in treatment such as finding a doctor or free dental clinics they will provide you with information for… that as well.
This place is a complete JOKE! If you care about your family member, please do yourself a favor and go to another facility. They made a MAJOR error involving my sister and because of their mistakes, she spent 48 hours… getting passed back and forth through out the city all with her belongings in trash bags, while in a wheelchair with no phone, money for food, she had no shower! She is now humiliated, emotional and most likely set back with her recovery process. When I called to discuss, all I got was a “ok”. That’s it. Not a “we apologize” or “is your sister ok now?” NOTHING!
