Luminis Health Pathways – Annapolis Detox and Rehab Services

Luminis Health Pathways – Annapolis is recorded as offering detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Withdrawal is managed under clinical observation before other treatment begins, which matters most in the first seventy-two hours for alcohol and benzodiazepines. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

Luminis Health Pathways – Annapolis Address, Location and Contact Information

The site is at 2620 Riva Road in Annapolis, Maryland, 21401. The city lies within Anne Arundel County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.

Call ahead to confirm directions, parking and what a first appointment involves. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

This facility changed my life! What sets it apart from the rest is their adventure therapy. It teaches you that sobriety can only be had with the help of others. The food is great. The staff is phenomenal. I would… highly recommend this program to anyone seeking to change their life.

**2nd UPDATE** Going on 8 years clean and still going strong!! 👍🏋️‍♂️ I went from not having 2 nickels to rub together to now, I own my own company, I own my own home and I am so grateful to Pathways for getting me… here. I will forever be grateful to this place and to the many people who worked there that helped me achieve sobriety and the life I knew I could have. 🙏🙏🙏 *UPDATE* Four and a half years clean and going strong! 💪👍 I owe it all to Pathways!! Original post: Best rehab I've ever been to. Great staff, great community of us patients - I couldn't have asked for a better rehab. Anyone who says otherwise was not serious about getting clean, bottom line. I've been clean for 11 months which is the first time I've said that in 20 years. I will always be grateful to Pathways for giving me my life back and, once again, being a successful & contributing member of society.

Went here as an adolescent and I'm glad to see it's still there and that mark and his adventure therapy is still a thing. I still remember the course. Thank you for helping me. Though I did sadly relapse a few years… later. But I'm clean now and I have over ten years under my belt. I remember the food was good too that's always a plus cuz you never wanna eat depending on what drugs you were on.

I am very disappointed in my interaction with the Pathways in Annapolis, MD. I am seeking treatment for dual-diagnosis. I spoke to Porsche on Friday and was told she was going to talk to the treatment team today. She… told me that she would call me at 11:00 this morning. I ended up calling her. She told me she'd call me back after she spoke to the treatment team. On Friday I was told they 2 beds available. I was told to go back to my pain management doctor to detoxed. Who does that? In the time of need and I'm told to go back to my pain management doctor. I feel like I was not at all listened to or even considered. I have waited 4 hours and I have not gotten a phone call as if yet. To do this to someone who is trying to better themselves is uncalled for.

I was there two times in two weeks. I left each time after five days because I could not handle the withdrawal from opiates. I honestly do better detoxing myself rather than going to a facility. Despite all that, I just… want to say that pathways is a very nice facility. The staff there really seems to care about your recovery, & everyone is very nice. I would definitely recommend this rehab to anyone needing help. Also, the food is great & the Nurses are 🔥 ————————— 😎🌴☀️ —————————-

Our son died in this facility. If you have loved one carefully do your research. The care is inadequate they did a poor assessment and I called numerous times for 3 days to speak with an administrator, until I told the… girl answering the phone…. I would have the police go to the facility and get me someone to speak with seeing how my husband and I lived out of state. Please take heed to the reviews, my husband and I are professionals, and this can happen to anyone.

Nursing care was excellent and easily accessible 24/7. They take care to make sure you have everything you need. Anne was the best counselor; Susan was the worst. The food was good too, and you can have coffee and… snacks whenever you want. Good comeraderie, support and counseling, if you don't mind the 12 step thing too much, although they don't force you into doing the "steps" if that's not your thing. Also, they had plenty of good coloring books and DVDs for entertainment during free time

I have 7 years clean- I went to Pathways in 2013. I did not stay clean out of Pathways but it was the first treatment facility I had ever went to. I could not say better things about Mark- I learned so much from him. I… know without a doubt he saves lives without realizing it. The ropes courses were such a cool experience as well. I am leaving this review because looking back after having been to multiple private programs- This facility stands out the most. I am grateful to the entire staff here. I encourage anyone struggling to go to this program. We do recover.

I am set to go in on Sunday morning and I couldn't be more excited for finally finding a program that gives me a positive feeling of anticipation, not strictly fear and worry prior to going into any other program. So… many good reviews, so many great programs that I KNOW will keep my attention, and help build me back into myself in a way that I feel is almost geared specifically to my needs. I cannot wait to see how this goes. I know the detox and first little while is going to be painful, it's going to be rough, but I'm so looking forward to the help I'm going to receive. A place like this, I would love to become a success story and potentially even volunteer my services upon excellent retention of my recovering status. The adventure therapy is the best thing I have ever heard of in this setting. I helped operate a course very similar to this at a place I worked at for a couple years and have always been an avid outdoorsman as well. I cannot wait to be apart of this program and the success it has to offer my life. I'm so very grateful for the opportunity Pathways has given me. Thank you all so much before hand and I look forward to meeting everyone!

I was there as both an adolescent and adult. As an adolescent it was great the only complaint I had was I believe Mark who headed up the physical activities. He was so cold hearted. He said he wished he could lock us in… a room and let us suffer our withdraws. Well alcohol and benzos can kill you. The food was great. The price was absolutely ridiculous. That's why noone gets the help they can't.

This is the best place in the world. I was there for 2 weeks and thought I had it all down packed. But I just had to call back to go back again. I think I need more time to go and get into a sober living house.

Great place! They take recovery seriously- I wish more places were the same. Great food, nursing staff and counselors. They helped me out when I had trouble paying. They also collected food for me to go to my first… sober living since I had no money. Seriously the best place ever for people like me. The other reviews on here are bs. If you aren’t serious about getting sober, you won’t be happy with anything that seems like sobriety. Thanks Pathways!

It’s long but worth the read if you want to protect your loved ones. I would never recommend this place, not even my worst enemies. They are dishonest, disrespectful, and selfish. I had private insurance when I first… checked into Pathways, letting them know that my insurance would eventually switch back to Medicaid while still in their facility. 3 weeks later, the insurance switch is quickly approaching, I have never been disrespectful to staff during any of my experiences in treatment, I didn’t cause problems. The amazing people outside of Pathways would laugh at you accusing me of such thing. Fast forward, outside meeting, we all go to the gym. During the meeting, I needed to see a nurse, so the sour excuse for a behavioral tech calls up to nursing and the nurse comes down to the gym. I walk out to talk to her, with Kathy standing right next to me, asked what I did wrong and the nurse claimed I was lying. We are taken back up to the top floor, as soon as I’m walking in, the same nurse slaps the papers in her hand in my face and tells me I’m discharged. She takes me down to the lobby and anyone who witnessed what happened next, it felt as though they were accusing me of murder (really accusing me of being “threatening and disrespectful.” They kicked me out onto the street, gave me a 3 minute phone call to find a ride and told me I had to take my belongings and meet a ride off property or they will have me arrested. Guess what was going to happen at midnight? Private insurance, gone. My release date? that WEDNESDAY I was going to have completed treatment. Instead, they kicked me out at 10:30-11pm on Sunday, Medicaid kicks in on Monday. I watched them do this almost exact same thing to another girl before me while I was there. The “behavior tech” Jon, bald, short, pretty ignorant? Yeah, he proceeded to tell another patient that HAD ALREADY LEFT THE CENTER BEFORE ME that I “checked” myself out on my own because I wanted to use. HIPAA?!? Jon also worked at Hope House in Laurel, MD. They put me on medication that can’t just be stopped, but Pathways held my medication I came with Hostage and kicked me out with no plan or source to get the meds I needed. I have taken care of all IOPs in my area, they all have been warned about this place at this point. I have never in my life been treated like that. But you know what’s great? I haven’t used since leaving your facility so thank you only to those of your staff that matter. That doesn’t include your nursing director or those above him.

I left Pathways about 3 weeks ago, and it was honestly the best place I could have hoped to go. It's unfortunate that the reviews aren't better because the facility is nice, the food was great, and the staff was… amazingly kind and professional. The adventure therapy was the reason I chose to come here, and Mark is a great guy who always related the experience back to recovery in interesting ways, but the entire experience at Pathways was great enough to pull me out of years of misery and depression and changed my outlook on life. My case manager, George, also went above and beyond his duties and really encouraged me to be a better person. I don't have enough positive things to say about Pathways. If you're considering this place, I would definitely say to come here!

My experience occurred back in 2006 or 2007. I drove myself there without any court requirement but solely on my own free will, I was there to stop taking a very low dose of painkillers after I stopped a pain management… plan-I was taking Percocet, 5/325 3x a day and wanted to stop. I sat in the waiting room 3 hours to get approved by my insurance after the facility told me I was already approved. During my intake review by a counselor or therapist I was asked what drugs I used. I was honest and told the woman that I did experiment with cocaine. She asked how I used It, I told her I snorted it. I’m white, she’s black-she snapped back “why is it that only black people smoke it!”. I ended up leaving that racist environment and regretfully never reported this to anyone but my insurance company. I’m a paralegal for a large firm that referred DWI offenders to this horrible place BEFORE this happened. No more. On that first day I also was given the wrong medication that should have been for high cholesterol, I found Percocet pills in my purse which should have been removed during entry search. I also found a pill sitting on the shelf at the nurses’ station. I’m thinking about this now as I met with a psychiatrist for medication management recently and discussed this with him. He was appalled by the behavior I encountered when trying to help myself so I’m posting this. My rating is ZERO but I couldn’t post without using a star. Wow....what a racist slap in the face when seeking help, voluntarily; negligence in providing patients with proper medication; and leaving a pill of who knows what laying on the counter! Unbelievable and unacceptable on so many levels! This place should have be shut down years ago. I’m so sorry for the family that lost their loved on while in this facility, as written below.
