Unique Minds Behavioral Health Servs – Baltimore Detox and Rehab Services

The team of Dr.s was wonderful Dr. Victories Ngang and Dr. Ophilia Mbah, it was easy to talk them. They were very professional, knowledgeable and easy resolve my concerns during my consultation with them. Great team.
I cannot recommend Dr. Victorine A. Ngang, DNP, highly enough. She originally treated my daughter for ADHD, and on my wife's recommendation, I decided to consult her for an evaluation as well. Before seeing her, I had… negative experiences with two other physicians who performed quick questionnaire assessments and—despite being unable to determine whether my symptoms were related to ADHD or bipolar disorder—immediately offered to prescribe medication on our very first visit. My experience with Dr. Ngang was entirely different and refreshing from day one. At the conclusion of our initial appointment, she suspected I had ADHD but was extremely careful to rule out lifestyle factors first. Instead of rushing to a prescription, she recommended a structured trial period of dietary adjustments, sleep regulation, and regular exercise to see if natural interventions would resolve my symptoms. Her philosophy was simple and ethical: if lifestyle changes solve the issue, medication is unnecessary. When I returned and explained that I struggled to maintain those lifestyle changes due to my ADHD, she initiated a conservative treatment plan. I deeply appreciated her thoughtfulness regarding medication management; she purposely avoided starting me on controlled substances like Adderall, opting instead for a non-habit-forming, readily available alternative to ensure consistency and prevent refill issues. She is exceptionally honest, professional, and genuinely invested in her patients' long-term well-being. If you are looking for a dedicated, ethical psychiatrist who prioritizes accurate diagnosis and proper patient care over quick fixes, Dr. Ngang is the absolute best choice. I know it sounds kind of scripted, but the only reason it sounds a little bit scripture is because I had AI correct any of my mistakes but other than that, this is My real opinion and I’m a wrong patient of hers.
I highly recommend Dr. Vicky and Unique Minds Behavioral Health Clinic. Dr. Vicky is compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely dedicated to the well-being of her clients. She and her team provide… exceptional services in a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where every client feels heard, respected, and supported. Their commitment to improving mental and emotional well-being is truly outstanding. Anyone seeking dependable and compassionate behavioral health care would be in excellent hands at Unique Minds Behavioral Health Clinic.
What an amazing moment! Definitely would recommend.
Dr.Ophelia was wonderful! She is a great listener and seemed to do a thorough evaluation. I'm looking forward to get my symptoms monitored and under control so I can have a better quality of life. I feel Dr.Ophelia can… help me achieve this
Dr. Vicky was very kind, professional, and compassionate toward my cousin. She took the time to listen, explained the treatment plan clearly, and made him feel comfortable and supported. We are very grateful for the… excellent care he continues to receive and would highly recommend this provider.
My name is Mbongeh, a student from walden university. My experience at Unique minds behavioral clinic has been exceptional. The clinic provides high quality patient centered behavioral health services in a supportive… and professional environment. The staff is compassionate, knowledgeable and dedicated to ensuring that each patient receives individualized care. This clinics commitment to mental health advocates, evidence based practice and holistic treatment makes it an outstanding resource for the community. I would also like to recognize Dr Victorine for being an exceptional preceptor. Throughout my clinical experience she demonstrated remarkable professionalism, expertise and dedication to teaching. She consistently created a welcoming learning environment, encouraged critical thinking and provided constructive feedback that helped strengthen my clinical skills and confidence. Her commitment to patient care and mentoring future psychiatric mental health providers is truly inspiring.. Dr Victorine s patience and willingness to share her knowledge made my practicum experience both educational and rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn under her guidance and would highly recommend Unique minds behavioral health clinic to both patients seeking quality mental health services and students looking for outstanding clinical training experience.
I had a positive experience at Unique Minds. Dr. Victorine N. was kind, patient, and really listened to me. I felt comfortable and cared for during my visit, and I truly appreciate the way she treated me. I would… definitely recommend her!
I’ve had a wonderful experience with my care. My provider is compassionate, understanding, and always takes the time to listen to my concerns. I never feel rushed or judged, and she makes me feel comfortable discussing… how I’m feeling and how my medications are working. I truly appreciate the care, patience, and support I’ve received and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality mental health care.

I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for compassionate, professional mental health care. Finding a mental health provider you feel comfortable with is so important, and this office creates a supportive space… where patients can feel heard and respected. Dr. Victorine is so caring and supportive throughout.

Doc Ophila Mbah is a great Doctor that help me so much She there whenever you need help
Would not recommend this place at all. I met with Dr. Ophilia and within the first 20mins of our appointment I knew something was off. I’ve been in therapy for years so I’m used to the first appointment being a more get… to know you type of thing but she seemed super uninterested in what I had to say. I was sharing deep emotional trauma with her and she was yawning, leaning on the desk, making weird faces, and clearly distracted. She acted completely uninterested and then I find out she mostly focuses on medication not mental health therapy. After our call I searched for a new place to go because she truly lacked the empathy, care, respect and compassion I would expect from a mental health provider. Maybe some one else on the team is better but I’m done with them all together. Also you fill out almost an hours worth of paperwork and she gets on the phone and just asked the same questions I already answered she didn’t even look at the paperwork I already completed just a huge waste of time and if I was in a bad place mentally her behavior would’ve made me feel even worse.
Victorine is very kind, considerate, and she truly understands and cares about you as a patient. I really appreciate her knowledge and she has got me on the road to feeling better! I would definitely recommend her and… her team at Unique Minds.
The service provided was exceptional. The team diligently develops comprehensive treatment plans meticulously tailored to individual conditions. I am seeing positive results.
I have been a patient of Victorine on and off for the past five years, and during that time, I felt a strong sense of trust and safety in my relationship with her. Five months ago, I found out I was pregnant, and it has… been an extremely difficult journey. I was taken off the medications that worked for me and put on pregnancy-safe alternatives. During this time, I struggled greatly with distressing thoughts and severe pregnancy-related illnesses. At my lowest point, when I needed support the most from someone I trusted, I was transferred to another provider without being asked for my permission or whether it was okay with me. I felt completely violated—especially while pregnant and in such a vulnerable state. To make matters worse, my appointment was canceled and rescheduled 20 days later, and my prescription was not filled. I had to repeatedly text and call Victorine just to ensure I had my medication, as I feared for my safety if I went without it for 48 hours. I feel deeply hurt, betrayed, and violated. It is now 12 PM, and I still do not have my medication, which is causing me to experience withdrawal symptoms because I take it at the same time every day.
I am a new patient and so far I feel that Dr. Victorine Ngang is caring and has my best interest at heart. She has given me sound advise and I look forward to a continued positive relationship.
I enjoyed my experience with the Dr. She listened to me and helped me understand some things I didn't know about my medication. She has a gentle caring spirit
For me, finding the right mental health professional always felt like dating. There are a lot of duds out there and it is hard to find the right person, who not only gets you but can help you in the way you need. I was… recommended Dr. Victorine Ngang by a friend. She has helped me so much. The telehealth appointments make everything convenient because I have a very busy schedule. I cannot recommend Behavioral Health enough. They got me through some really difficult times and I am so happy to have the support network in place that I did not have for such a long time. A+
My mom was a patient of Dr. Victorine Ngang for about 5 years, and she has been absolutely the best thing that ever happened to her. She is so caring, responsive, and takes a wholistic approach to her clients' care. She… has reached and maintained the best quality of life possible because of Dr. Vicky's comprehensive care. She is by far the best psychiatrist that my mom has ever worked with and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Dr. Vicki is the best psychiatrist I have ever been to. She listens. She does her job and she does it well. She's not there to just tell you what to do or talk at you. When she makes any changes to my medications, she… asks me how I feel about it. If I'm not giving her a firm yes. She asks me about my concerns and recognizes them as valid. She then explains to me her reasoning why behind her suggestion and then offers an alternative. She's very adamant about not making me feel forced. She insists on communicating as frequently as I need to. Every time I've gone into crisis and sent her a message, she responds and will even move up our appointment. I struggled with contacting her when those happened. But she doesn't reprimand me. She simply reminds me that she's here for me. She reminds me that her job is to help me and not to judge. She's seen me when I was barely hanging on by a fraying thread and still doesn't treat me like I'm some feral animal to be feared and handled with care. She takes notes and I can tell she actually references them at each appointment so I don't have to keep repeating the same things. She said that I'm supposed to stop medicaions and not wait for her approval if I'm experiencing serious side effects. And I did a couple times and the first time she asked me if I stopped taking it. And I told her I thought I was supposed to wait til our appointment. She made it clear that when it comes to serious side effects that's no bueno. When I first started seeing her, of course there was work to do to find the right meds. When she suggested meds I've taken before and she asked why I stopped taking them, the second I mention an adverse side effect, she immediately says "Okay, that's a nope." I feel so much better since working with her to find the right medication to help with my plethora of symptoms. I feel like this is how it should work for everyone. To be heard. And treated like a whole person. She helped me with looking for therapists. She makes it clear that psychiatry is her specialty. Not therapy. But unlike past psychiatrists I've seen, it doesn't mean she's a detached, robotic android of some kind. She's a whole person treating whole people. I can't recommend her enough.
Do not waste your time!
I’ve been in the process of assisting one of my loved ones with a mental health situation. During this process it has not been easy, so I came across this business via the internet, during my search for a mental health… facility. I set up a phone call to then set up another phone call for my first appointment with my family member. NO WHERE IN THE AGREEMENT was there any portion mentioned of bringing in the day prior any documents for my loved one. It was suppose to be all digital and I set up the account they asked me to do. Then fast forward to today 9/18/23 12:30pm I call to begin my process, the first thing the girl says “we have to reschedule” due to me not setting up the account, which I clearly told the girl that I did. This business is to concerned with a damn schedule then they’re own clientele that they’re scheduling it for smh. Very sad. So she never tried to further assist me and became very dismissive and then hung up the phone. Basically leaving me hanging with a crisis at hand with my loved one to now look else where. PLEASE BE ADVISED YOU WILL BE FORVER DISAPPOINTED IF YOU EVEN PICK UP THE PHONE TO CALL THIS BUSINESS!
Update: After going to this practice for over a year, they switched over to a different money collector and what started out as $35/appointment, turned into $150+/appointment. At no point did my insurance change. When I… reached out, there seemed to be nothing they could do on their end, so I had to move from this practice. I was having a hard time controlling my anxiety on my own. With the help of Ophilia, I have been able to feel like myself again. We meet semi-regularly to make sure I have the correct dose. Ophilia does a great job explaining everything to me and helping me through side effects. I would definitely recommend to anyone struggling to manage their mental health!
The telehealth visits make things so easy during the week! My nurse didn't seem to feel comfortable with change of medications but okay that aside, all went well until I haven't been able to get my medicine bc of the… pharmacy never having it in stock. She needed to cancel the script at one place and send to another but I was told that she was on hold too long and is busy cannot keep calling to fix the issue soooo I have been a month without the medication, the main one that keeps me going.... I feel like I've been left alone to fend for myself which ironically my follow up appt was close to try it all over again and this isn't the 1st time and I've had issues for 6 months with the medication, mainly the medication at this pharmacy anyway. After being left on my own I'm done ive decided to transfer to another place!!
