Sinai Hospital – Baltimore Address, Location and Contact Information
Records give the address as 2440 Cylburn Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland, 21215. This address falls in Baltimore City County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. Journey time and parking are not trivial details when treatment runs several times a week over months.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

This is the best hospital in Baltimore city
Well well well, I love this hospital & I'm loyal. BUT New Years eve I walked into th ER dying, due to Covid & Strep (had no idea except feeling ligjt headed & sluggish). The young man immediately walked me to the… station adjacent to the ER, where they have the rooms with the curtain instead of doors. Once seated "Nurse, I am about to pass out" the nurse went to the Charge Nurse (I'm assuming thats who it was). I heard her repeat what I said " she said well go ahead and pass out". So for clarity, I repeated it as a question & she said yea thats what "She" said, I said ok. About 1 minute later, I told another nurse the same thing, but I said it how anyone would after getting the 1st reply. She looked at me & sprang into action, with another nurse the wisked me away & they (with 2 more nurses) saved my life!!!! The angel of a nurse said my pressure was 40 something over 30!!! 😳😭😭😱 I MUSTshare the good with the bad & YESS!!! I had that documented (days later) & I was told there was a 30 day investigation 📹🎥 were checked to see exactly who said that & I was told they were sma ked on the hand & I'm still alive & I am not angry. BUT they must observe, check etc... Whomever makes a claim such as that!!!! 🙄😒😑 I was born in Sinai & I will continue to go there for any emergencies that I'm able to there with. They always take good care of me, one overworked & jerk nurse cant change my outlook on my hospital!! 🙏🏼☮️❤️
From the first ER doctor to the surgery team…everything was A+. The best was my sweet nurse who treated me like a sister. Highly recommend Sinai. I work at Johns Hopkins by the way.
I have had experience with many of our area’s hospitals in the over 40 years I have lived in the area. Sinai has been the best: professional, kind, modern, patient-focused.
I'm specifically reviewing the psychiatric unit. It's absolutely terrible. My wife is bipolar and was admitted, they treated her like absolute garbage (and all the other patients as well). I'm not going off what she… told me, I saw it first hand every day when I visited her. We had to get her discharged immediately because it was so bad. We are a loving home with two children and they decided to call CPS on us for no apparent reason (they refused our request to give us a reason)- 3 hours AFTER she was discharged. Thereby putting additional stress on my wife. It doesn't bother me because I know they will come and see our beautiful children and home and leave, but to put this burden on my wife right after coming out of a bipolar manic episode, was just a terrible thing to do if you have any human compassion. My wife loves our children and loves for our children. They had no indication or reason to do this, it was almost like a bullying tactic because we had her discharged early due to the terrible treatment by staff. The weird thing is- they didn't tell us they were going to do this while discharging her, they called us 3 hours after we left to tell us, and refused to provide a reason. My wife switched to a local PHP program that we had her enrolled to start the next day before I even picked her up (Sinai was 1.5 hours away from our home), she had her first day there today and loves it. Sinai is the only facility she has ever had problems with, they treated her (and all the patients there) terribly, as if they were a burden. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. The social workers are terrible, we were assigned Jennifer and her supervisor Jessica, just absolutely awful people. Ironically as soon as my wife came home, her manic episode started to wind down and end, so I wonder if she was even manic or just angry for being treated like shit day after day by all the staff. I'll admit it could also be her lithium levels stabiliIng. No staff ever reached out to me during her stay with any updates except once her social worker left me a voicemail. When my wife was at Suburban in Bethesda for the same condition, her doctor personally called me every other day. The one time I spoke to the social worker, she betrayed my trust terribly. I told her in confidence that my wife showed a sign of bipolar mania during a phone call when she asked me to buy a lottery ticket (out of character for my wife), the social worker Jennifer then proceeded to tell this to the doctor who told my wife they were going to hold her there specifically for this reason, basically blaming their decision to not discharge her that day on me. Extraordinarily unprofessional. There is no way to sue a hospital and win, but I am going to look into potentially suing some of the individuals that harmed her. However, I doubt anything will come of that since all hospitals have a huge budget to fight against malpractice lawsuits, but I am looking into any and all avenues to hold the individuals accountable. If you don't want to work in a psych unit, don't take the job. You are just a terrible person to take a job you don't like there and treat the patients like garbage. I am sure other parts of the hospital are great, but AVOID the psych unit at all costs.
That hospital sucked n very rude staff don't go there please if u go there u will regret it
I came to this hospital last night and it's my first time, but the nurses and doctors have been so kind and friendly to my daughter and me. I'm so grateful 🙏🙏🌹
I was in the waiting room for 6 hrs. The hospital went downhill big time. I will never step foot in there again.
Eye doctors and nurses are great! I felt very cared about.
My experience at Siani was superb. Very attentive, compassionate, and caring team. Extremely professional. Made my stay a pleasant, one that I will never forget. Thank you to the team that attended to my needs and got… me to where I could return home. Again THANK YOU ALL. 😊
My experience at Sinai Hospital was 100 percent positive. I recently had a revision surgery from knee replacement surgery I had in March. Dr. Nace and his entire team were professional, courteous, supportive, and very… helpful to me. I was definitely in Great hands with this team. I’m very grateful to them. The Nurses and Techs and the Occupational Therapy staff and Physical Therapy staff were very attentive to me during my visit. I could not have been happier with my experience.
Excellent and caring staff!
The entire staff who assisted with my care was excellent. Justin who delivered the meals was the absolute best. Everyone was attentive, professional and always checked in
It used to be a very good hospital, but not anymore. The last time I took my son, they did a urine test and never took the sample; they just left the container there. They're very unkind to Hispanics.
Excellent and expedient service during the stay from the moment we came through the ER doors until we left the building. The staff was caring and attentive.
To the amazing staff at Sinai, I just wanted to say thank you!! Your bedside manner was EXACTLY what I needed to stay calm . I am so grateful for your kindness and support in my time of need. Sinai hospital...keep… shining!!! Thank you for your perfect service!!!
Amazing staff, great doctors, sone stalff needs improvement by I can see management is working on small issues. Management came around a check what wag great and what might need improvement and I felt they were very… receptive to criticism and would immediately address it.
They so unorganized and unprofessional staff. How they going to set up appointments with you with no time of arrival. No communication of what so ever. I get no updates on anything. Beside to confirm my appointment and… be there 15 minutes with no time set smh. 🤦♀️
My mother was inpatient for 40 days at Sinai. She came in septic and almost lost her foot. She is home and doing well, she is receiving after care currently. The hospital and staff were nothing but patient, helpful and… wonderful to my mom and our family. She even received flowers on her birthday and the whole OR Team sung happy birthday before her surgery(she had her skin grafting that day and they were nothing but amazing to her!) I would absolutely recommend this hospital to anyone. And the food isn't awful either! She only didn't care for a few things and the cafeteria had lots of yummy options for the family as well as a subway inside the hospital.
I had a terrible experience. I came to the E.R on 7/19 for an accident I had cutting my finger. They had a student stitch me by the name of Ruth. She was pleasant for the most part but did not listen. It was her and two… others . Upon stitching she’s gave my lidocaine she asked me numerous times can I feel anything I told her yes. She said oh you just feel pressure I said No I can feel the sharp needle. As she was stitching me I told her I can feel it and it was as if she’s didn’t believe me and I had to tell her to stop. Then she’s went back and gave me more she told me “a study show that red heads usually resist lidocaine “ I said clearly I’m not a red head. I asked for Motrin and never received it. When the stitching was over I said I didn’t get my Motrin still and the other nurse or student with Ruth said rudely “YOU NEED IT EVEN NOW?” I said yes. It wasn’t as if my calmness didn’t warrant urgency. Didn’t get it. I told them I’m allergic to Bacitracin, they proceeded to tell me “well that’s all we have “ and “I nevertheless heard of that before” I broke out in hives soon after couldn’t go to work. Fast forward, today 5 mins ago I Just got them taken out by Michael he didn’t have a magnifying glass to properly take them out he had my had in the air with no support. I had to ask for a table for arm support. He take what the stitches out one wasn’t way too right Ruth did it took him longer and there’s still thread in my hand. I told him it hurts I can feel it and he told what it’s isnt thread. Clearly you can see it . He said let’s assume it is I told him there’s no assumption it’s thread there he proceeded to debate with me about it. I just said I’m ready to leave. Another’s nurse came to discharge me I showed her my hand and asked her what doesn’t she she she said thread . I said Michael said it wasn’t. Then she changed her story and told me it wasn’t and she sees something but doesn’t know. The thread piece STILL in my hand and they had no care for my concerns I expressed. A TERRIBLE experience and the thread hurts.
Nurses were nice but the diagnosis was not written down correctly. My loved one is not better, they just made LO look fine so we could get discharged, and now symptoms are returning.
My family’s experience with Sinai Hospital destroyed any trust we had in this institution. What happened during the hospitalization was bad enough. What happened afterward was worse. Our family repeatedly raised… concerns regarding a vulnerable patient’s cognitive condition, decision-making ability, safety, and discharge planning. We requested additional evaluation. We requested a second opinion. We documented our concerns. We followed the hospital’s procedures. After the fact, we obtained recordings and documentation that directly challenged several statements made by Sinai Hospital in its written grievance response. The hospital’s response was not to review the evidence. The hospital’s response was to declare the matter closed. That is what I find most disturbing. A grievance process is supposed to be a mechanism for accountability. Instead, what we experienced felt like a process designed to protect the hospital from accountability. Sinai’s written response contains statements that our family believes are contradicted by recordings and documentation in our possession. We informed the hospital of that fact. We offered the evidence. We asked for clarification. We asked for review. The answer was no. Not because the evidence had been reviewed and rejected. Because they simply refused to review it. At this point, my concern is no longer limited to the medical decisions that were made. My concern is that Sinai Hospital appears unwilling to examine evidence that challenges its own conclusions. Families place enormous trust in hospitals. We trusted Sinai during one of the worst periods of our lives. If your loved one is vulnerable, cannot advocate for themselves, or if you believe something has gone wrong, understand that your experience may not end when the hospitalization ends. You may find yourself fighting for answers long after the fact, only to discover that the people responsible for investigating those concerns have no interest in revisiting their conclusions. We came looking for accountability. What we found was a closed door.
This hospital is incredible. They saved my son's life, and the care we received was outstanding. Just a few days ago, I had an accident, and they treated me with the same kindness and empathy. I would love for more… people to have the opportunity to visit this hospital and receive the help they offer.
The care I received at Sinai Hospital was excellent. The nurses were there for you with assistance and any questions. The Doctor's diagnosed my medical problem quickly and performed a remarkable surgical procedure to… make me feel well again. The food was good too! Many thanks to the medical team!
