Dr Daniel Shoen is a great doctor
I've been a Disabled Veteran for many yrs! The difference between now and 30 yrs ago are night and day difference I love the VA and I will always stand by them.
Piss poor service, got transfered over ther for a call to a patient advocate. Was given an attitude about it and sent to transfer jail and hung up on.
Excellent care from the VA.
I am absolutely appalled at the disrespect. I called in to help my partner track down his CPAP machine he's been waiting 2 months for (last couple nights he has complained about his heart feeling extra strained and his… oxygen levels are low) and I was actually hung up on. I simply stated how unfortunate it was that the VA has not done what they've needed to for him to pick up this equipment nor could they direct us anywhere for an emergency unit for the time being. The woman was very rude, but despite that, I sure hope she sent the note that she said she would to his doctor. And I really hope his doctor takes it seriously. This feels like pure negligence. The VA is supposed to be here to help our veterans, not drag their feet while they suffer.
This ship is well maintained. From housekeeping because without them this ship would be dry docked. To the director because without navigational skills the crew members would have no direction. I am grateful for the… kindness by all I come in contact with. Very convenient for most veterans needing specialist care as well.
I finally had the courage to drive down to VA and get some help. I have been tossed all over Michigan and had community care. My Primary Care provider was switched twice locally and I was still having to pay for my… medical bills? VA said that my Dr. Did not seek authorization from the VA first so im stuck with the bill. With a brain injury it is difficult to spend hours on the phone coordinating payment between VA, community care and optim billing. When I arrived I wanted to see a social worker. They told me I was not enrolled at the VA in Grand Rapids? I waited to see Duane in enrollment, who kept repeating to me that I have a Primary Care already. He would not let me explain anything and pushed me out of the VA without helping. I went back home, almost 4 hours wasted as usual with the VA. I went to the hospital, my Primary Care Duane said I had. The hospital told me they do not have an approval letter from The VA and I dont have a Primary Care. I am too messed up to correct this again, which happens all the time. You win VA, im done getting help because the help is not available. After 14 years of fighting a war I should not have to fight, I realized our government, VA, DAV, Wounded Warrior...and most every organization I sought out, is not for veterans i guess? I am alone, broken by my government and left for dead. I have Jesus, my dog and that's it. What else can I do? My brain is not functioning and It seems i can no longer manage this "Disabled" joke of a system and lies. What a sad day for me, I have nowhere to go. It's ok because the saddest part is it's expected to get thrown away now. I saved 100s of lives, lived war everyday and now im nothing to my country and useless for my community. Remember me as a once loving dedicated soldier who gave everything, literally, to his country.
I've had the very best experiences at the Wyoming VA clinic and the staff is very friendly!!!
Biggest problem I have here is no one calls you back! Even patient advocates! Community care is impossible to get ahold of. Dental says they will call and they never do.
I have been eligible tp use the VA for.3.or so month's now. I could not be happier with the service. I have undergone the following in that time: got an orthotic for my left leg, a replacement leg for my right, hearing… aids, cataract sugury for both of my eyes. I had all my diabetic prescriptions, most for my diabetes, moved ro the VA and they have done scans on my body to see if there are any other issues. People there are great and care has been quick and efficient. They care. I would recommend to any, and every one.who qualifies.
Clean and modern facility, helpful and nice staff
Great experience, Great doctor
Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff. I've never had a issue at this VA facility.
