About CHC of Cape Cod Addiction Program – Mashpee

107 Commercial Street in Mashpee puts CHC of Cape Cod Addiction Program inside a short drive of Mashpee Neck, Seabrook and the towns around them. East Falmouth, Forestdale, Teaticket and Falmouth all sit within 7 miles of the door. Barnstable County is the relevant authority here, which matters for anyone using state-funded care.

CHC of Cape Cod Addiction Program offers intensive outpatient and outpatient care. CHC of Cape Cod Addiction Program is federally registered and licensed by the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services. Medication-assisted treatment is part of the offer, the approach with the strongest evidence for opioid dependence. Both conditions are worked on in parallel, which is what the evidence supports. Some contact can happen by video rather than in person. Dedicated support for veterans is available.

This facility saved my life. The care is exceptional. Sarah in the walk in clinic is stellar in her care. The receptionists are helpful and kind. Love this Community Health Center.

I ask my psych for referrals and all I get is drugs no treatment and they never follow up or coordinate care they don’t care and just lie and shew u off honestly I did a pretty deep decline I went from working, going to… college, working in national policy making in dc, representing mass and the cape and the islands… but I stopped eating, sleeping, having a period, gained 50+ pounds, suddenly lost a crapton more, they lied about me having 8 cavities (I’ve never had one in my life) so I waiting to get new insurance and then all of a sudden I come back 3 years later and guess who has NO CAVITIES? Me. And. Now 10 years later I have none either. So if you have blue cross blue shield you get ran through. Then theres just doctors switching every 6 months to a year so you never see the same person and it’s just useless to reexaplain yourself so much and nothing ever gets resolved, like for 6+ years I wanted a therapist and they couldn’t help me find one cover by my insurance, when I asked for a structured plan with goals and stuff, I was ignored and given regular talk therapy. Also the on call nurses are awful. They aren’t qualified to do this like I asked for a css bed and the phone hung up and she doesn’t even call back like I just wanted two hours of my time asking for help it’s a joke. I write on my chart every day asking for partial or higher level of care and I am ignored every day and idk how that’s legal but “they care so much” but no they just say that so u don’t bring up how what their saying is total nonsense and untrue but sure. If I could change one thing bf in my life I’d have not used mashers community health, even sandwich is like, way more helpful. My doctor also told me everyone dislikes me and talks shit about me so I don’t like to come in but it’s constantly demanded which is weird since they don’t like me oh and one time they said I failed my drug test for CODEINE ?? And wouldn’t let me retest or explain how that could happen (I’ve never taken opioids) they made me feel like a pos and it was in 2019 but I still am irrationally afraid of drug tests having false results, like idk I don’t feel like going forward in the world I’m gunna make it like I got diagnosed with pseudo dementia and told I’m going to a higher level of care and their ignoring me even the on call nurses. And also I keep getting told I have random diagnoses, then told that was never said. At one point my roommate chimed in that he 100% did say I had x y z and she was there to hear it! and why would make up that I have x y z mental illness and then say u never said that?? It seems like a game to them like taking advantage of people with no support and then my favorite is they say their going to do x y z like help you or get u a case manager or refer u and weeks or months go by and they ignore u on my chart like ur crazy or something like idk. I wish I was taken seriously and then I’m told I’m disliked because I get angry/upset like uhm well you cross the line? Like for example they call me Friday 5:30 pm and say my doctor is firing me and then when I go into crises crying they say they never said that like idk it’s a weird weird game to play with ppl who are traumatized and just wanna get better. No wonder suicide rates are way higher on cape than the rest of the state like idk definitely not how I wanted my adult life to go. Like in march my good friend was murdered and I was read her autopsy and couldn’t really deal and asked to go to partial and they couldn’t set it up, so just know if you ever need support like if ur best friend or parents died and u needed a therapist or hospital or crises care, they just blow you off. It’s weird.

Some of the rudest and miserable receptionists I’ve ever come across!! God forbid they actually have to do their job while they sit in an air conditioned office all day, dont even say goodbye just hang up next time I… won’t be so nice about it.

I have followed Dr. Matthew Waterbury since he was in Falmouth and now this Mashpee location. He and his staff are always outstanding, thorough, kind and compassionate. Front the front desk Mgr. , his assistant doing… eye exams and measurements, and even the eyeglass dept tech helping me to suggest stores for glasses, and of course Dr. W. 👁 🧐. The building is centrally located, clean, has a quiet waiting area, and on time , etc. The community health center offers other medical services including am on site pharmacy.

I've been seen here for years and hope I never have to go elsewhere for my care. I appreciate all my Healthcare needs are in one location i.E my primary the Quest lab and psych. I've been working with my pcp Dr. Ronan,… and she is AHHMAZING. I'm so grateful for her care and understanding of my needs. I highly recommend Bourne community health center 🙏🏻🫶🏼

I don't know what the problem is with this dentist office here at the community health center but four times that I come in at set appointments and they forget about me. I sit there and wait patiently 10 20 minutes past… my time ask them what's going on and they say oh we're sorry we forgot about you. How does this even happen? If you're late for their appointments or you don't call they want to charge you . We should be able to charge them for making us wait and then not doing anything about it besides giving you an I'm sorry which is ridiculous at this point. You people really need to get your crap together cuz this is absurd. Remind you four times that this has happened four times four times four times

All staff are very friendly and supportive. Dr O’Neill is easy to communicate with, responds clearly to any questions or concerns that I have and fully explains any treatment options as they become relevant. I also… appreciate how quickly I receive a response when I use the portal to get in touch with the office for any reason.

I haven’t found communication through the patient portal to be very effective. I often receive different answers from different staff members, and questions I ask frequently go unanswered. My doctor was switched without… notification, and appointments have been canceled without explanation or follow-up to reschedule. Overall, the experience has felt disorganized and disappointing. Honestly, my pets receive more consistent care at the vet, which is embarrassing for a medical practice.

Community Health Center is a blessing! Being able to be seen quickly is an amazing comfort. Often in the past I have had to wait days to be seen by my primary with Community Health center I can walk in and be seen by a… Dr. or Para with in a short time , get needed medication and be on my way, Thank you

We moved to Cspd Cod recently and needed a new doctor. I have been impressed with the entire organization so far! Very professional. I just met with Dr. Koren as a new patient. I am very happy with his expertise and… care for my needs.
