About Better Life Partners – Gorham
Better Life Partners operates from 341 Main Street in Gorham. The site sits in Cumberland County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Little Falls, South Windham and Westbrook. Maine draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Better Life Partners
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

Better Life Partners Address, Location and Contact Information
The address is 341 Main Street, Gorham, ME 04038, in Cumberland County. The catchment reaches Little Falls, South Windham and Westbrook. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.
Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

They are putting my recovery at risk because I cant afford internet the meetings ive attended for 2 years now and never missed a meeting i was told I couldn't be in because I cant afford wireless internet was a great… program now I see they obviously dont care about people like they say
My case is completely different than 95 percent or more than others in BLP. I never got into heroin or painkillers but use 7 OH and kratom. I got into this program in 2022 because I was living in my sprinter van and… could no longer order poppy seeds for poppy seed tea which I did for 9 years and it helped with anxiety and stress. I had withdrawls without it and took the easiest option of taking Suboxone instead. It worked well for 6 months to a year and after my first year on it I tried to get off of it and failed. My anxiety was horrendous and I had limited help and support from the program. Two years later I tried to get off Suboxone and failed. I'm prescribed Clonopin at a low dose for my anxiety, and have been for many years, and without it I'd be in a wheelchair even though I'm a runner and athlete. Last year I tried taking a higher dose of my anxiety medication and I still failed. Last year I spent the night in the hospital memorial day dealing with withdrawal symptoms and decided to get back on it a few days later. Currently I'm 18 days off Suboxone and feel much better being opioid free although some days my anxiety is worse. Emotions and thoughts to that i didn't have in years come out. I take 7 OH everyday now at the lowest dose of a quarter pill at a time and have done that for over a year. I made the withdrawals relatively minor but still hard at times. I will be cutting back to two days maybe three a week max of 7 OH. I used to be able to drink 4 cups of coffee by 12pm and I wake up around 330am to 530am to go on long walks then run in the afternoon. I can't drink that much coffee that anymore and cut back of caffeine a lot. I used to be able to run 7 to 10.5 miles without stopping on Suboxone and now I can barely make it 4 miles. When I first lowered the dose to 4mg which is low I had a hard time running over a mile because of the pain and soreness not being on an opioid. I basically started form scratch on my exercises and should hit my goal of running 8 to 10 miles by winter time without Suboxone. The reason I'm giving BLP 2 stars is because they don't do a good job at getting people off Suboxone. I was on it by mistake for over 4 years for using poppy seed tea and kratom. That's ridiculous. I never had the urge to quit and I didn't but I cut back. An example of how poor they do is me getting an appointment to see a provider still being in withdrawal. They made me wait nearly 4 weeks. I don't even know if Ill be in this program by then because I'm never getting back on Suboxone. The counselors do a good job. If you using kratom or 7 OH just get help from your doctor if you go through withdrawals. Don't get on Suboxone.
I've been with Better Life Partners for some time now, and I've never had any bad things to say. About any of it really all the counselors are super nice the doctor is amazing , they're all easy to talk to, and I plan… to continue my journey with them. Thank you for all the help you are giving, to not only myself but all else who's involved. You're amazing.🤍
I was so happy to have a friend refer me to you and I am now a month in and couldn’t be happier with my progress and the staff is absolutely incredible they are amazing people and I am so grateful for them all
Since I began with the BLP family I have become a little bit more open to share. Christi is very nice and ALWAYS has great energy. I have only been with them for 2 and a half months, but I feel welcome to share my… recovery and or weather I have relapsed. Listening to other people's stories and successes are a great booster for myself. All and all it are the first zoom program I have been in and I love the people.
I love blp and I love how far I've come in my recovery ♥️
I have been with BLP for nearly two years. Every group I attend is always amazing. It's one hour of hearing each other's strengths, accomplishments, goals and dreams. At times we all go through something difficult, but… we always find a way to cheer each other on! Thank you BLP for making a difference in all of our lives!
This is the best place to get clean. Please don't hesitate to get clean it will change your life i promise you that 😁
I've been with BLP for two years now. They are very good at helping in many areas of your recovery. Whether it be mental health issues or your addiction. They have several therapist and counselors available and a very… flexible schedule so they can work with people and their schedules. They are also able to help with resources. I've recommended several people to them.
They are great workers and the ground u get pit into are great we will sit there and open right up and thing that have been bothering use or what going on with or daily life its great family
BLP is an amazing group of councilors and med management providers. I would suggest BLP to anyone looking to fix their lives and get back to being themselves again
I have found that Better life partners to be like a family. They're personable with great topics for conversation. They don't quit on you for making a mistake instead give encouragement to keep trying. They show you… kindness and offer personalized counseling. The help with getting a physician, housing and mental health services. Everything to get back on trackt for having a better life!!
This place has been excellent and very understanding and helpful and goes out of there way to be there for you
The councelors and providers were good to talk to and helpful. Being fully remote was a plus. Also the text updates were great. However, I was scheduled for a few needless appointments and the structure was confusing.… They weren't bad, I just need something a little more than they can provide (without going into personal details) and the confusion and back and forth between central and the providers was more of a hassle than I wanted to deal with, so decided to take myself out of their program and find another provider. Edit Update: So they ended up calling me after I had left the program and wanted to make things right. They could have let me slip through the cracks but they didn't. I'm quite thankful they did really because I've been doing a lot better with their help. It's nice to feel like a person again. Anyway. I would recommend, they do really care about their clients.
Amazing treatment services and the staff is beyond understanding.
