A Plus Counseling Center – Fort Washington

I called this place who ever the manager/owner there was very very rude for no reason I just was being sent here for an evaluation because of the courts. I’m paying out of pocket for this evaluation! I’ve spoken to 3… other places for this same evaluation with no insurance all of the other places price ranged from 180-200!!!! Out of pocket cost the rude lady gets on the phone saying after I said I’m paying out of pocket! She says oh it’s 1000 dollars and she can get approved for Medicaid insurance so it a be free! Off break she’s 800 dollars over anywhere else! So to me they obviously scamming the insurance companies by price hiking they services and forwarding the bill to the insurance companies so beware of this place! I was more than willing to pay the rate this evaluation out of pocket!! But they tried to tell me 1000 out of pocket or let them get me Medicaid and it’s free… 1 + 1 = 2 they are scamming insurance companies

Not satisfied with this Counseling Center at all. The owner seems to be very controlling and does NOT have her client's best interest at heart. She also tried to accuse me of trying to walk into a private office, when… in fact I was just getting out of the way of other clients. (In fact, I truly believe this is why they release me from the program) I was released from the program without my knowledge. Had to find out by calling to see if I could make an appointment to see the New Doctor to fill my medication that I have since ran out of. They never called me after knowing I ran out of meds to see if I still needed it filled. There was always an excuse for them not to see me. They tried to steer me in the direction of the health department. My services were with A1 and they initiated the medication so why send me somewhere else? They know how vital the meds are to staying on track, so why not assist me in getting my meds. My experience with A1 was absolutely horrible. I would not advise anyone to reach out to A1 if they are clearly looking for help with their sickness. They seem to take things personal and will release from the program for reasons not pertaining to your treatment. A1, thanks for nothing.

The counselor told me that drinking alcohol is equivalent to doing something inappropriate with a 7 year old child. THAT'S VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The two things are incomparable and I was flabbergasted to say the least.… The staff is unprofessional as well. I was talked over a lot by the head doctor that runs the place. Even when I told her I am being cut off, she continues to over talk me. I also feel that they are judgmental and it is easy to feel that coming from them as a patient.

Really nice people and they really do help u to recover.. thank u all the all the help ..
