Carter Treatment Center – Alpharetta

This treatment center has a couple staff members that make every day very unbearable. Other than that most staff do try and provide proper service. I pray they fix what is needed and improve. Decent apartments, very… competent counselors. But if you cannot handle being talked to like scum by a couple as a person in recovery. Do not come here. I recommend finding a rehab where all staff are trained to speak to clients/patients as they're human. On the anniversary date of my mother's death, a staff member was aware of this death. And publicly in front of the group told me every single fault I had. It was not his place to do that. So therefore, overall I wouldn't recommend. If these issues and staff are removed and classes improve. This place had hope. Thanks.

I absolutely love this place the staff are incredible,and they do an incredible job of showing what a full life in Recovery looks like.

Thae Carter Tretment Center and team provided the best Intensive Outpatient Program in the Atlanta, Georgia area. I had a very enthusiastic counselor who was full of energy, wisdom and personal experience to walk the… journey of recovery right beside me. The groups were consistly above par and the counselors were top tier in the state. The living facility off campus provided a safe and secure environment with employment just a walk out of the neighborhood. I found that ethically The Carter Treatment had nothing that I saw that was unethical. I have been through many programs, I have volunteered for a few and worked for a few as well and I found that Carter Treatment was the most inviting and sincere group of people I have ever seen run an IOP that was just in it for money but for the sick and suffering. The program director Rachel was not only a therapist but also a dynamite teacher who engaged her students like magic.

This place is not what it seems, do not recommend this place to any of your family or friends. There are literally life’s at stake here and the women (Rachel) who runs it is very inappropriate with her actions. The lab… testing place they use is unreliable ( Horribel reviews) and even if all the clues point to it they don’t take it into consideration. Most of the people whom work for them have never been in addiction themselves. So it’s hard for them to understand the in and outs. If you do intend to come keep ur head down and don’t expect them to work with you about stuff ur uncomfortable with, and I mean just the simplest things like wanting to be with a female or male therapist. You could be the best student here and they’ll mock you. I would recommend samba or tangu. Also if they say you’re going to get a $40 card , you won’t. So if you don’t have money there’s better places that’ll help you. There’s a lawsuit just waiting to happen.
