Cummins Behavioral Health Systems Inc – Indianapolis

I'm not sure why all the negativity. Maybe my children have just been lucky 🤷‍♀️ Both my children have/had Megan...she is amazing. They both have had amazing skills coaches and school based therapists. I will agree that… it is difficult to make or cancel appts with no direct line to anyone. But to have so many bad reviews, I don't understand. We have had nothing but success through Cummins. In every aspect.

I just wanna go ahead and say, there are some decent people who work there… but to really sum it up, this place is trash🤷🏼‍♂️.

My relative, who I am guardian of, received services from Cummins. For over two years, she was seen by a nurse practitioner. Never seen by a psychiatrist. When asked, Cummins couldn’t provide a psychiatrist. Therefore,… I took her to an outside psychiatrist to get a second opinion of her treatment. Soon after, I was notified by Ashley Mayfield that my relative was discharged from services by Cummins. I wanted my relative to continue school based therapy from Cummins and receive medical care by the outside psychiatrist. Ashley Mayfield refused to reverse the discharge. It is a fact that not all therapy patients at Cummins receive medical treatment too. If you have read this thoroughly, you will agree this action was unethical! Tried to file a complaint but no success.

Megan is wonderful. Life skills is lack luster, so much so it is an absolute joke.

Don't even bother,my child has Bern through enough and last thing she needs is too keep opening up to people she will never see more then once my child has been through so many therapist in one,year it's crazy and them… it took me 1 year through the school so I pulled her after this pass school year,ill figure out my own child,it just a waste

This place is terrible. Really unprofessional. I will be contacting someone about my and my daughters absolutely horrifying experience here.

It breaks my heart to see so many negative comments about this office , I have had a the most amazing experience within this office my son has been struggling for years his doctor's office would dismiss me and made me… feel as if I was doing something wrong this office since day 1 of him coming to this office has been such a blessing to us both he is thriving everyday he absolutely adores his Psychiatrist Megan! Therapist Emily! Skills Specialist Ms Hadley ! All have went above and beyond !!!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE!!! For the love of god don't go here pick somewhere else like Aspire Mental Health. This place will lie and falsify your information… and they are rude and very disrespectful.

I can not get ahold of anyone to cancel an appointment. This place is very hard to deal with. They’ve sent our son here for help and NO ONE seems to help at all. He is currently in the hospital for attempted suicide.… This place is a circus.

Not sure why all the negativity. My experience at this location has always gone well. The Dr. is very kind, professional, and respectful.

I went to see a therapist for family counseling here. My girlfriend and I were having issues in our relationship and decided to go to figure out how to deal with my daughter after the breakup. My girlfriend had decided… in case we weren't going to work out it would be a good idea. We went and saw Lydia. While I agree with what she said about handling my daughter and being consistent I think she was way out of line with everything else. She took it upon her self to attack me personally and was very very rude and snobby. At one point I actually had to tell her she shouldn't be talking to me the way she was. We weren't there to talk about our relationship and she constantly mentioned it and told us it was over. She had no clue what the situation was. I asked her questions so I knew how to handle things in the future with this relationship or any other and she continuously acted like I was trying to "prove" a point and was treating me like a piece of garbage. I have never felt so disrespected by anyone in my life. Not knowing that my girlfriend at the time has PTSD and anxiety issues and feels trapped easily she assumed that her "body language" meant that she was done with the relationship. She assumed we were fighting and screaming at each other which isn't the case. She made many assumptions about our relationship and continuously tried to enforce the fact it was over. That was not why we were there. This was not her place to say that. We were there to learn how to make things work for our daughter. She even went as far to tell us that we can't be friends and hang out with my daughter together. She also made it a point to tell my girlfriend that she had no legal right to my daughter. And she made sure to tell my girlfriend she can evict us if she wants. This was not something that needed to be discussed. We were there trying to get help with my daughter's transition. So now I have to deal with the consequences of her words. I actually just woke up having nightmares about today's meeting. I have severe anxiety myself and she didn't even read the charts. I was ready to cry in the meeting. I basically went here to be humiliated and cut down by this person that is supposed to be doing right by us. I would not recommend this place. I'll never go here again.

When I first started going here I had the best therapist ever his name was Matthew & I had the best life skills specialist she was the best I ever had. Now that I'm still here I've been having some trouble with my… therapist and my life skills specialist. My new therapist's name is Katie ulmer. And my new life skills specialist name is Emily Truelove. I don't recommend this place for ANYONE & I mean ANYONE

Horrible experience, I was checked in to see a psychiatrist, he basically just sat there typing all my info in, absolutely no conversation and basically seemed like he didn't care to get to know me or anything about me.… but didn't bother to tell me if I really needed to be put on anti-depressants or not, but proceeds to prescribe me effexor which I had a horrible reaction to that I ended up being in the ER because it made me feel like a crack head. I was so upset because I have a child to tend to and I was not functionable. Because of this experience I will try my best not to try an anti depressant ever again, he never bothered to explain to me what to expect. I get medication acts differently with others but who wants to take medication that causes unwanted side affects, I came there to get better not to feel worse and put my self through more hell... it took damn near a week for 1 dose to wear off... absolutely ridiculous!

They are insurance snobs. All they want is you (and your insurance's) money. They DO NOT care about helping people.
