Maryland Wellness – Cumberland

I put a review last year and I felt I needed to make a another one I can't thank sondra wine enough for all she does for me for two to three years of being my prp worker and now having her as a therapist she is amazing… shes awesome after losing my son she helped me out of a depression I didn't think I could get out of she gives me guidance for everything and for me being autistic it's hard to understand certain things and how to cope with everyday responsibilities and mental health and she knows whst to say abd how to help because of her im more confident with everyday life going with a smile I know I don't have to make another review but she needs praise for being the best

I am not sure if these people truly do not know what they are doing or are pretending that they do not know what to do. It's just another mental health clinic wanting to write prescriptions, appropriate or… inappropriate, and then then not have to do anything else. As long as we keep pulling in that money, everything will be fine.

So for two to three years I went and seen my prp worker sondra wine and she was amazing she helped me get through so much and also help my wife be more comfortable with seeing a therapist and when sondra became a full… time therapist my new prp worker Jenna is also amazing I couldn't thank them enough for all they've done and are doing

Sharon is amazing with a heart of gold! She cares so much about me and my daughter. I highly recommend her as a therapist but Dr.Ola, the medication Dr. doesn’t listen and wouldn’t put my daughter on different… medications and the ones she was on made her worse. So we. I longer see him for medications but we see Sharon weekly.

Ok basically i was great with this place, loved my therapist, then something happened, idk exactly but im not seeing her anymore, miss her. I have trust issues and it took me a little bit to open up to her, i really… don't want to get a different therapist but i have to. I probably will come back here, but im not sure yet.

When I first became a patient with Maryland Wellness it was right at the start of Covid so I had a few visits in the office and it was only for medication. When everything closed and went to virtual visits I still saw… my Dr but then they switched drs which I had no problem with because he picked up right where the other one left off. I recently began with their therapy and I can say I am very pleased at how wonderful and understanding Pam is. Maryland Wellness has always been a great practice who really works with me from helping me set up a payment plan when I didn’t realize I had a bill when I switched insurances to pay off my copayments to always answering when I text their office number because I have forgotten when my next appointment is. The only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 is because a combination of my medicine was overlooked for awhile but it was taken care of right away once it was realized and I don’t fault Dr.O entirely because he is a busy Dr and I’m sure he has a lot of people he sees and I normally am a quick appointment. But I recommend Maryland Wellness to anyone needed mental health help.

Be careful about using this company. Firstly, I really liked my therapist they placed me with, but there have been issues. They had not been charging my insurance right for over a year and even charged the wrong… insurance altogether after me telling them that was wrong. I had to clear up multiple insurance issues myself. I was told abruptly, given only a month's notice, that they would not be using my insurance moving forward. I had to call to confirm this and was not given a formal email or letter. Second, many of the employees do not know what is going on with regards to patients. I had to call three separate people to get someone who knew about my situation and what was going on. This company is unprofessional and frustrating to deal with.

Update 9/13: I was reached out to by the manager regarding my experience and wanted to provide an update. They apologized for the misunderstanding and they agreed to squeeze me into their schedule for therapy services.… The service has been great so far and my therapist is friendly and helpful. However, I am not sure if I would have received services if not for my negative review. I felt somewhat pressured by the manager and it was mentioned to me several times now they they strive to provide the best care for their patients and would like for me to update my review. I called for therapy services and the lady I spoke with said they had therapists with openings accepting patients. I gave them all of the my information including insurance cards, credit card, and filled out a survey to setup an intake appointment. When I spoke to Emma at my intake appointment I was told there is a 3+ month waiting list for therapy services.

My therapist through there is wonderful but, the nurse practitioner is more to be desired. She answered her cell phone during my appointment and stayed on it for far too long and after she was done didn’t even apologize… for taking the call. She also discussed one treatment plan with me and then changed it after getting off of the virtual call leaving me confused when I got my prescriptions. Also, because of that I am having a bad physical reaction. Called Thursday to try to speak to her and the receptionist marked my message urgent. It’s Tuesday and have yet to hear from her. Yeah, let’s say I’m on google now to find a different place to go to.
