Maryville Inc – Pemberton

I had a great experience at Maryville. I mean people think that treatment centers are 5 star hotels and don’t remember that this a rehab center where it’s about focusing on urself and becoming a better person as you are… reintroduced into life as a functioning member of society. From both Dons, who really were incredible men and I could tell that that truly cared about me. Legal don even made a point to tell my family that I am a good person and asked my gf to take care of me and that showed me that I cared. Counselor Jen cares and truly cared about my well being. She might have been upset I was leaving but still went out of her way to help me with after care. Helped me see my true potential and gave me a lot of good advice and I could feel that she cared about my long term success and again was upset I was leaving but understood why and believed in my after care and it was awesome to have a counselor who cared and than the counselor in training Mike prayed with me and prayed for me. Brought me to tears. Young man Deandre has a bright future in this field. Ozzie and Chris were incredible public speakers and got my emotions going and even the ladies Nicole and the entire crew were incredible to me and wished me the best on my exit. The nurses were great. Heidi and Carolyn were some great nurses and the food was great for rehab food. Ya it’s not perfect but i really believe they helped me and the entire staff wanted me to be better and kick this thing called lives ass. I thank them all. My experience at Pemberton was a good one! I was there for short term. The staff really do care about helping you to stay clean and sober! I learn so many new things about myself. My counselor ( Mrs Jennifer) , helped… me so much when I wanted to give up! Also Mr Chris (CIT) was a great mentor to me! 52 days clean and sober. Also Thanks to Ms Wali, Cassandra, Ashley and Nicole!

Food and compassion from employees were absolutely …OUTSTANDING

18 months sober. Thank you Maryville and Michael!! You took me in when death was my only other option. I am now earning my certificate in Addiction counseling. I see low scores on these reviews. Just left Maryville Pemberton today after a short term stay. The experience was good all in all. Just like any place there could be some adjustments made here and there but it's a pretty good rehab. Chris and his CIT… staff (including Michelle) were very helpful throughout my stay. Some things could be better but it is a good place to get treatment.

Attended This place. has real good hands working on needs for Addictions . Woman’s and men’s faculty and facility, only issues. needs to work on making bigger rooms for groups meetings. Besides that amazing service.… Good people here

Maryville used to be a good place. But common decency and professionalism went out the door with Tina Groch, their best counselor. If your addiction is a hassle for them or too big for them, they simply won't return… your call. With the couple-hundred-grand their fearless CEO sucks in, you'd think this "non-profit" would find a way to at least be professional. I will say the doctor they employ is amazing. If you're seriously looking for help, or even a return phone call, keep looking. Try John Brooks in Mays Landing. It's a beautiful facility.

Its a peaceful and quiet environment, with passionate front line workers who pays attention to to visitors needs

This place truly cares about the people and families that they are helping, this is where you go if you're ready to heal and make life changes for the best! Very attentive, works hard at the main situation while… teaching one how to cope with life and not self medicate.

Place is decent.

I was a client at Maryville, Pemberton n.j. I can honestly say from the time I walked through the door and started my treatment plan and completed it It was a holistic and life changing experience.from the admission,… clinical, medical,peer counselors,food service,C.I.T.,house keeping,even the participating interns.lets not forget the administration staff and all included staff mentioned. Is an outstanding team of people to be in there hands. Thank you Maryville Pemberton for giving me life again. Enoch Brimage!

This place should be shut down. It runs like a county jail. All female cit in an all male facility... Grounds and Interior of building are absolutely disgusting and smell like a sewer. Food is just the same a county… food. Was an absolutely terrible experience when it comes to rehabilitation. If it wasn't for one or two great cits I wouldn't have stuck it out.

Dan I just wanted to say discovery will also not let me back loved it there I didn't do anything I had a seizure went to the hospital and left hospital ama and they still won't let me back the hospital they sent me to… was horrible but I really think they don't like dealing with benzo withdrawal because I met 2 others at seabrook same experience it sucks

The one in Williamstown is very nice and clean the one in Pemberton is not as nice but still help u alot

I give it 0 stars. I have gone through Opiate withdrawal many times succesfullg in my life, at home and at Discovery Institute. Which i wanted to go to but for some reason wouldn't let me come back for detox. The nurse… and staff love me there and I was / am the easiest going person coming off opiates and even Benzodiazepines which i used short term to get through opiate withdrawal at home, rebound anxiety and/or slight with will symptoms. Well anyway, to the horrific. I had been on Gabapentin (prescribed) by my psychiatrist, zoloft. 100 mgs as well, well, they ripped me off my gabapentin AND my zoloft. I said they ask you what medications you take so they can order more, or at least Discovery Institute did. The nurses were incredibly rude. When someome is coming off of a benzo, you don't give them Pheno barb that does not work. Just like suboxone for opiates/opioids, or methadone, same with benzos. Come on guys. The Ativan Bridge at LEAST, or the Librium taper. So you don't feel any unbearable withdrawal symptoms. It helps both the opiate and benzodiazepine withdrawal symptoms. But i brought my medications with me.a couple empty bottles i had just ran out. Well me thinking they'd order in. more, they ripped me off both.Now I am withdrawingNow I am withdrawingFromOpiates,Benzodiazepines,Zoloft and Gabapentin.They did not contact my doctor which I feel they should have,And they were telling me to get out of their office and all this nonsenseWhen I was so easy going and polite to everybody. And don't even get me started how dirty that place is. No screens in any room windows. A raccoon could've crawled in and nobody would know. So here i al. withdrawing from 4 meds getting eaten alive by flies while hot and cold flashing, the floors the dirty as all hell. the entire building REAks of cigarettes because people are smoking in the bathroom vents, circulating through the entire building. I threw up every meal because even the nasty food tasted like cigarettes somehow. You step outside to take a breather, threatened to be discharged. That place was hell, i almost wanted to file a lawsuit against them because of the treatment of patients, the actual drug treatment itself, not allowing snacks in room, no water bottles, state funded so i didn't expect perfection but jesus christ dude how is someone supposed to recover in a place like that!? Anyone been to Pemberton knows what I'm talking about. I'dRather suffer at home

This facility was a great experience for me!

I have a family member in this center & they actually like it there. They also said, that the food wasn't bad & they get a lot of it... side note... they've been to many centers, over the course of 30+ years, so this… was a 1st & a plus. I myself, haven't had any issues with the staff, that I've been in contact with. They've been quite responsive, accommodating & kind to us. They also keep me in the know, on my family member... which I love, because I worry less about them. I really feel that they're in good hands at this place. I'm praying that this will be their last run & the beginning of moving forward to a much better place in life... my fingers are crossed. For anyone fighting addiction you got this! I'm rooting for you! May whichever higher power you believe in, cover you all, as well as your families! 🙏
