Tonights doctors were not on top , my sister comes in with swollen head and headache he prescribed her Tylenol and Benadryl and sent her home, the nurses couldn't even keep track of her fluids as they didn't come back… for two hours, and they didn't notice the blood pressure machine Was going off for an hour I turned it off myself, the doc tried insulting me , as I wanted more test done a CT scan something but instead he insults me saying is that what Google md is saying and at this point yes seems like Google md is working at its job beter than they are , won't be coming back here again with any of my family members .

I was in here on the 20th last month in the ER. There was a blonde doctor who I was told was name was Dr. Jones. She sucks. She yelled at me for crying on the worst day of my life. I yelled back and do not regret it. If… you’re so unhappy with your job, leave it lady. Nobody wants to deal with you being miserable all the time. The nurses were nice however. Very grateful towards them for understanding me.

Pre op is all smooth but once they get you in a recovery room that’s when the night mare starts nurses don’t attend a patient until they get their sweet time.

I had left knee replacement surgery there one week ago. I am so grateful and thankful for the excellent care. My surgeon Dr Michael Gilman gave me and the anesthesiologist and RN, which I believe is Vivian. Excellent,… extremely excellent. Great care. Thank you for the bottom of my heart.!! ♥️ Highly recommend recommended! After recovery, I was walking down the hallway to the bathroom, using the stairs and the bathroom! So thankful to be walking

I had a knee replacement done on Monday by Dr Samuel Park who is an exceptional surgeon. His support staff were also amazing the nurse who checked me in and went through all my medications before surgery was absolutely… delightful. Post surgery Nancy Dennis (PACU) was amazing very kind, caring and thoughtful.

Terrible service by my mother’s nurse Mercy vandal. Mercy vandal was taking too long to assist my mother and she had accidents in her bed multiple times because the nurse wouldn’t come in time. The nurse Mercy vandal… would so no compassion to my mother and tell her she’s faking it. How do you fake pneumonia?! The nurse called my mother a lair. The nurse wouldn’t bring my mother any water and now she has a bladder infection. When my family called the room to talk with my mom you would hear the nurse in the background complaining. She was the rudest nurse we have ever encountered. This is supposed to be a great hospital well let me tell you it isn’t if this is how their employees behave. The nurse Mercy vandal was giving my mother such a hard time. When the home my mom was being transferred too came to get her the rude nurse Mercy vandal was even giving that professional an attitude too. This hospital needs better people working for them. That awful nurse Mercy vandal has no right being around patients and treating them so horrible.

Had to go to emergency for a potential serious condition. The entire process went very smoothly . . . the checkin, interviews, exams, and tests. The team is professional, communicative, responsive, and caring. The… standouts were: Nick, John, Dawn, Dr. Chow, Dr. Paulson, and Chelsea.

A few days ago we saw firsthand why Laguna Beach Providence Hospital is struggling financially and parts of the hospital are closing due to a decline in patient visits. Some nurses are not trying to be polite or kind to… patients or their families. This was a disastrous experience for us. A nurse named Lily in the emergency department was a "B...", she treated patients like a prison guard in the criminal ward and constantly yelled at patients. It was heartbreaking to see these scenes repeated over and over again. So if you have other options, try not to go there. The nursing staff of this hospital needs immediate attention and training and discipline. After witnessing this rude and unprofessional behavior, we transferred our patient to another hospital where we were able to get admission, which was Providence Hospital, St. Joseph in Orange City in the county of Orange. From the moment we arrived to every step of the way, we witnessed order, kindness, hospitality, respect, and compassion for our patient. Transferring a patient from one hospital to another is not easy. But it was 100% worth the effort. I give Providence Hospital, St. Joseph in Orange City 5 stars and 10 out of 10 and commend the management of this hospital for their professional management, trained staff, and order.

I came in with severe pain and dehydration related to injuries from a mountain bike crash. The staff was able to stabilize me so I can make it to my follow-up appointments with my doctors next week. I want to especially… thank Chelsey for her kindness and consideration. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name, but I appreciate him as well, along with the rest of the team. I’m still in pain, but I can walk, sit, and lay down now which are three key things I needed just to relax. Thank you to the staff and the hospital for helping me get through a rough day.

I have been here several times for long term health issues. I’ve never been treated so poorly than I was today . The doctor stated everytime I’m here my heart rate is always high (which it is) but isn’t normal. Also am… always in pain which is trying to be managed by pain management doctor. I’ve had chronic health issues for years, I already feel like a burden. Before the doctor came in I heard a nurse say “I wish it was the good (my last name)”. When I addressed the doctor when he came in he said “sorry about that”. Don’t deny it, didn’t say it didn’t happen, just apologized for someone else’s behavior. That conversation was recorded by him. The say “your health and satisfaction is our primary concern”. Unless it’s me apparently or someone else with chronic health issues and health trauma.

The nurse by the name of Porsche is said to be the longest serving nurse in the Medical/Surgical ICU but I found her to be extremely rude and dismissive!! I was told that she has been here longer than anyone but… somewhere along the way she has lost all bed-side-manner!!!!

Two years ago ended up in the emergency room after an e-bike accident. Shattered my wrist and foot so badly I had to go to surgery after. The hospital sent me home with ace bandage wrap. I ended up going to San Diego… UCSD who handled everything. The surgeon was livid and couldn’t believe they sent me home like this, didn’t call in surgeons or do anything for me but X-rays and throwing ace bandage wrap on broken limbs. I was in excruciating pain for days until I could get in to see a specialist. The best part? They didn’t even make sure I had resources to get anywhere with not being able to use my whole right side of my body. They gave me crutches, when my wrist was broken!!! Totally neglect!! So glad UCSD was on top of everything and I healed well. I caution anyone using this hospital, worst experience ever.

My mom brought my sister to this hospital last week while she was in the middle of a seizure. She was violently throwing up, disoriented, and suffering from a blinding migraine... yet instead of receiving care, she was… treated like a criminal. The staff were beyond rude and vile while treating her with blatant disrespect and disregard, as if her medical emergency was an inconvenience. And while she was in the midst of having another seizure right there in the hospital, they forced her out. Yes, you read that right... a seizing patient was thrown out like she didn’t matter. She has Medi-Cal, which seems to be the only thing this place needed to see to decide she wasn’t worth helping. Her neurologist later confirmed that this isn’t an isolated incident... multiple of his patients have experienced the exact same discrimination and neglect at this very hospital during seizure episodes. This isn’t just medical negligence, it’s systemic abuse of the most vulnerable patients. And it needs to be exposed.

I had hip replacement surgery over a year ago but never got around to writing a review. Everything about my 2024 surgery and hospital stay in Laguna went really well. A very positive experience! The hospital pre-surgery… online class was so worthwhile; very informative and they answered a lot of questions which helped me feel prepared. The check-in process the morning of surgery went smoothly and quickly. There was plenty of convenient parking. The staff and doctors were efficient and clearly explained what to expect. (Dr. Chen, Dr. Bronson, Evelyn, Holly?) After surgery/recovery I was moved to a 4th floor? room in time for lunch and later that afternoon walked around the hall with the PT. Everyone who helped me the next 24 hours was respectful, kind, attentive. I wish I had jotted down all the names. (Nicole, Pedro, Chaplain Christine, Minnie, Emmanuelle, Guillermo, were a few) The only negative feedback is my bathroom was too tiny but... it was a small price to pay in exchange for the beautiful ocean view, very peaceful setting, and excellent care I received. It's been over a year since my surgery. I recovered quickly and attribute that to Dr. Chen, an excellent surgeon; the positive in-patient hospital experience in Laguna; as well as good post-op PT.

Went to the ER at Providence Mission Hospital Laguna Beach walk-in late last night for a concussion. I’ve not been to an ER where everything ran so smoothly. I was in and out within 2 -2 1/2 hours. I was attended to… right away by the ER staff, nurses, technicians who did their part from check-in to release getting me checked and tested. Thank you to Dr. Andrew Adams for attending to me right away and the staff for your great demeanor and caring.

Came here for abdominal pain. Was quickly given tests and a CT scan even before a room was open. Doctor Abdi was very knowledgeable and gave me thorough instructions before sending me home. The entire process took about… 5 hours. During my duration in the ER, I couldn't help but notice how kind and compassionate the staff was towards "rude" patients. We are lucky to have this hospital in our community.

I brought a friend to the ER, we were the only two people in there at 8am, they said that they needed to wait for a bed to open before they could admit my friend. We saw countless people come into the ER and were seen… before my friend was finally admitted two hours later. By the way, they have a staff person come into the ER waiting room and ask very personal and probing questions of each patient. And while the questions and answers are done in a hushed tone, I was able to hear all conversations with all patients, so I assume others were able to hear as well. How about taking these patients into a room on the other side of the ER door to complete and ask your intake questions. Also, why do you have patients complete questions online only to ask the same questions again by intake staff. So inefficient and frustrating.
