Place is an absolute joke.

Apparently it takes up to 6 months to even get a callback to join.

I have been with OCHS for roughly 15 years and have always felt confident with my healthcare, given the thoroughness of my caretakers unrushed approach. I am very pleased with the quality of my care.

The program manager was extremely rude. He bragged about being sober and said “even an idiot could do it” while we were discussing services for my son, who was there. Why would he do that?

I badly sprained my ankle in a fall as well as scraped my ankle and knee - drove directly on that injured ankle to Outer Cape where my family and I have gone over many years. I limped in, with a tennis ball sized… swelling forming on my ankle and bleeding from my knee, waited for the person ahead of me to finish and asked the receptionist if I could see a doctor and let her know that I had been a patient there within the past few years. She was shaking her head no before I could finish the sentence. She coldly informed me they are not a walk-in and by appointment only. I looked around the empty waiting room and asked when the next appointment would be and she said a time 4 hours later. She said they don’t have imaging there but I could get an X-ray at their Provincetown location. She did NOT give me the number of that location, let alone call over on my behalf. I asked if there was any way to see anyone sooner and she said No. She did not offer an ice pack, alcohol swab, band-aid - she was cold and harsh and I had to limp back to my car and wait for my nephew to come and drive me 30 min to Provincetown, where it took 3+ hours to be seen. The lack of compassion or even slightest effort to help in any way reflects horribly on this practice that I had really respected over many years. I would never go back there if they feel the first stop of their center should be so callous.

Best of the best! I travel across the Cape to receive the quality care I I get from my PCP. She is awesome; takes her time explaining and exploring options with me and has helped me stay healthy throughout the years.

I love Wellfleet Health Center. I tested Covid clear. Some people get fluid in their ear(s) and/or infection in ear & sinus from Covid. I was gifted with this side effect. I was in pain which floated from my ear to my… top & bottom jaws. I walked in to the Center. Everyone was professional and the site immaculate. The receptionist gave me an appointment in the same morning. The team was great. The nurse took my vitals. Dr. Prazak was amazing. She took my blood pressure for a 2nd time. Told me to stop taking the antihistamines because I was not sleeping. Dr. Prazak prescribed antibiotics and a nasal spray. She gave me instructions and hand wrote additional instructions such as gargling after the nasal spray. A 2nd nurse irrigated the ear. I started the medication yesterday. I am pain free today. Thank you Outer Cape Wellfleet Health Center.

My np left so i was reassigned a new dr. They wanted to set up a meet and greet appointment- i went now I’m billed for this and the few things i ask for at the appointment were not addressed. Ex: a referral- test… results THIS PLACE HAS GONE DOWN HILL how about i dont want to pay!

Out of all the Outer Cape Health Services in Wellfleet, this one is the Wellfleetiest.

They billed my husband and I for vaccines when it should have been run through insurance. The person on the phone, when I informed them that I left a voicemail 19 days ago and have not heard back, vented to me about how… they have had to handle 170 phone calls today. She then curtly told me that the billing staff had all left for the day, and I should have called earlier; well I did, I had to wait on hold for 45 minutes. I'll revise my review if/when they revise the billing and inform us that we were incorrectly billed. Either way, it's concerning that they had a "systemwide error" where they billed everyone out of pocket, and now they are in a situation where they could be inadvertently double billing patients. Update: they let me know they now have run this through insurance. Despite giving all my insurance info at the time of the vaccine, I had to give them all my info again.

I almost never bother with reviews of this kind - either reading or writing them - but in this case I felt compelled to make an exception. While on vacation in Wellfleet recently, I visited the center twice to tend to a… flare-up of an old medical problem. I found the facility immaculately clean and efficiently run and the treatment both professional and effective in every respect. Really - about as good as it gets all around. Highly recommend.

Do not go here! The rude blonde woman at the front desk will rudely inform you they are not urgent care and do not walk in!! Terrible treatment!!!

Do not use them for Covid Travel testing. On Thursday morning I took a Covid Travel PCR test ($110), and was told I would have the results within 24-48 hours. It took over 55 hours for my results to come back and by… then I had missed my flight. When I called after the 48 hours I was told an on-call nurse would call me back within an hour, several hours later no one has called me and no one answers their phone now/during this weekend. Their answering machine provided the number to the Quest Lab, and the Quest lab is not available on weekends. Better to drive to Ptown or Hyannis for better service. Update - Over a week later and no one at Wellfleet Outer Cape has called me back or returned my emails despite my several follow-ups. When I call I am told the Covid coordinator will call me back, and he/she never does.

If I could give zero stars I would. Thought it was great, as everyone was so friendly. But everything was screwed up and not a single person got back to us. To start, they sent my son's script to the wrong pharmacy, AND… didn't give them our phone number, so the pharmacy could not call us to say they were out of the meds. We found out after driving to Orleans to CVS and they had no order....Then to drive back to Wellfleet to their pharmacy just to learn they were out. Then we placed FIVE phone calls the next day to verify the dosage, and each time were told someone would call us back. It's now 24 hours after my son was seen, and he STILL has not started the medicine, because apparently this office is too incompetent to send the script to the correct pharmacy, and call someone back. I will never come here again, I'd rather drive farther away to get competent care.

Excellent care for my cousin. WARNING. In spite of what Yelp says, this is DROP IN care--available without an appointment. But Urgent Care is inaccurate. Her insurance is refusing to pay since it is NOT "emergency" care… "certified."

Daughter was there with scratched cornea. Every person on the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were in and out in an hour, with minimal wait time to be seen. Compassionate and efficient.

While in Cape Cod for a wedding, my husband got a kidney stone. We visited the urgent care center in Wellfleet to get him help. This place was great! The doctors and nurses were extremely kind, caring, and competent.… When we arrived, there were no available appointments, but seeing how much pain my husband was in, the nurse agreed to fit him in. Throughout the whole process, they couldn't have been more kind and understanding. He ended up needing to be transported to a hospital, and they called an ambulance, then when i started freaking out and crying seeing my husband rolled away in a stretcher, they gave me a private room to recuperate in and gave me all the information I needed to check up on him. Really great people, and great service.
