About Shakopee VA Clinic – Shakopee

Shakopee VA Clinic – Shakopee Detox and Rehab Services

Shakopee VA Clinic – Shakopee offers intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. Ask what happens if the recommended level of care is not available immediately. Anyone can ask what a typical week looks like before starting.

Co-occurring mental health conditions are addressed alongside substance use, which is the approach the evidence supports. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before.

It's a tight and small clinic, but the care I've received has always been better than most facilities. The facility is clean, but could use a check-in kiosk like the ones many other facilities have. I say that only… because the poor lady behind the counter was still engaged in warfare with her bowels and it muddied up things for a few minutes. Still; no complaints. The doctors listen, are experts in their field, and the staff wants to interact with you.

I’ve used thi clinic for several years and have never had a problem until recently. Phone calls to make an appointment are unanswered. Calling the main switchboard to request the clinic to contact me remain unanswered.… Recently the clinic has installed a phone voicemail that records requests for appointments etc.however the clinic never calls back. What’s going on?

I’ve been going to the Shakopee VA for over three years, and it has consistently been the best medical care I’ve received anywhere. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff are kind, helpful, and quick to… respond. They make you feel welcome and supported right away. The psychologists and physical therapists here are also excellent. They do their best to schedule appointments quickly, they listen, and they work with you to address your needs in a real and meaningful way. Most of all, I want to recognize Dr. Reddy. She provides care at a personal level that’s hard to find. She makes sure medications, scans, and bloodwork are handled promptly, and she responds to messages and appointment requests almost immediately. It’s clear how much she cares about her patients and how hard she works every day. Overall, I’m very grateful for the staff and providers at the Shakopee VA. Their professionalism, kindness, and commitment truly make a difference

My personal Doc is great. Can't say enough nice things about her. The Mental Health Doc and the Pharmacy Staff are terrible. No common courtesy, no help, you're just another number. Can't even see the mental health doc… in person. Be prepared to drive to the clinic just to sit down in front of a computer screen to talk to the doc while he sits at home. I could have done the same thing myself. Waste of time and money. Pharmacy doesn't answer questions even after they ask you if you have any other questions. If you answer "no" they just hang up on you. Not entirely sure how the wait time to talk to someone there can be so long. It's a small clinic, how is my wait time over 20 minutes? Every time I'm there, it's empty. Another VA clinic living up to the hype of being terrible.

I love the VA. The big hospital in Minneapolis and the cboc clinic in Shakopee. Great staff. Top notch doctors and nurses. I've heard horror stories about the VA, but haven't had a bad experience in my 12 years of being… their patient. A sincere thank you and God bless to both VA's personnel. Also thank you to all hard working tax payers who help take care of me. I am grateful.

I've been using Shakopee as my provider since it opened and have been extremely happy with all aspects of care and friendliness of all there. If had to rate it one to ten I'd give it a 15!! Thanks to all.
