Tranquility Woods LLC – Pasadena Detox and Rehab Services

What Tranquility Woods LLC – Pasadena offers, on record, is residential treatment and sober living. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

Co-occurring mental health conditions are addressed alongside substance use, which is the approach the evidence supports. Housing support is listed for the months following a more intensive stage. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

I spent 30 days here, and I can honestly say it was one of the most important experiences of my life. When I arrived, I knew I needed help, but I don’t think I fully understood just how much I needed to learn. The staff… gave me something I desperately needed: the tools to save my life. They didn’t simply help me get through 30 days. They taught me how to begin living differently, how to understand myself, how to face the things that brought me there, and how to move forward with hope. What made the experience so meaningful was the people. I felt supported, heard, respected, and cared for. There were difficult days, but even those days became part of the process of healing and growth. I will always be grateful for the people who walked beside me during those 30 days. I came here needing help, and I am leaving with tools, perspective, hope, and a second chance at my life. I can’t fully put into words what this place has given me. But I can say this: they didn’t just help me get better. They gave me the hope, wisdom, and willingness to discover, which saved my life, and for that, I will be forever grateful.

Tranquility Woods has completely changed the entire trajectory of my life. I am leaving feeling excited about sobriety and with a desire to help others. Most of the staff love what they do and it is apparent in their… work. Jeff was my clinician and working with him has enlightened me beyond my imagination in one month in comparison to a past inpatient recovery program I attended for six months. I feel confident in my self and with the medical assistance of John, my depression and anxiety has lessened to a degree where I view the world, my self, and others in a positive and healthy way. I also was able to make incredible strides with my spirituality thanks to eye-opening sessions with Sperty who carefully guided me on my journey and helped me to form a spiritual connection that I will continue to nurture throughout my life.

Truly great experience. Of my five stints at rehab, this was the best, in terms of both the clinical staff quality and, when I was there, how seriously the clientele took the opportunity. Fantastic PA staff as well.… Highly recommend.

Seung Han. This was my 3rd time in rehab. Tranquility woods rehabilitation center helped me find myself and taught me so much about addiction and recovery. The staff at Tranquility woods were very kind and… understanding. I was treated with respect and courtesy. The food was great. I have gained about 20 pounds while staying here. The amenities were great. They have salt water pool and gym. For someone who likes working out and needed structure and routine it was a great place for me to recover mentally, physically and also spiritually. They have outings on Saturdays which was great. Went bowling, and go karting. Also did volunteer work for the first time and it felt great. They take you to church on Sundays. I have met and made many friends here and If you are serious about recovery and want to get better I highly recommend Tranquility woods whether it’s your first time or multiple times. Thank you Tranquility woods!

I had a wonderful experience at this facility. It was a great way to find a sober network and find multiple coping mechanics for substance abuse no matter what root issue caused your addiction. Hospitally was safe,… enjoyable, and luxurious.

Tranquility Woods exceeded my expectations from the moment I arrived. The beautiful campus, welcoming atmosphere, and smooth intake process immediately made me feel comfortable and respected. The accommodations were… excellent, the food was outstanding, and every member of the clinical team—including the therapists, psychiatrists, and counselors—was compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my recovery. The family therapy sessions were especially meaningful and professionally facilitated. The group sessions were engaging, supportive, and practical, creating a recovery-focused environment that gave me the tools and confidence to continue my healing. I am grateful for the care I received and highly recommend Tranquility Woods to anyone seeking quality treatment and a supportive path to recovery.

I called today to seek some mental health treatment and of course they don't accept my insurance which has become the new normal now. A friend of mine found this place for her roommate who is on disability and is… provided medical coverage through the state. I decided to read up on it and I thought that I could get some assistance. I was sadly mistaken. Although my friend's roommate's insurance is different than mine, I was still denied. This is a huge problem especially for someone who is feeling deeply depressed, dealing with PTSD, insomnia, and anxiety. Zero Stars for being discriminatory to people who have state provided medical coverage. Boycott this facility until they treat everyone equally.

My experience at Tranquility Woods was truly life-changing. I came in as a shell of myself - shattered…throughout my thirty days I received thorough clinical care. My clinician Doug was truly a key piece of my journey,… along with countless others. The staff of TW truly made what was the hardest part of my life, pivot to recovery with hope, health and happiness for the next part of my journey. If you’re willing to take the next step in your journey with your mental health and/or substance abuse, I HIGHLY recommend Tranquility Woods. Thank you to a few key people: Doug, Sperty, Matt, Chris, Kiersten, Larissa, Penny, Kyesha and many more!

My time at Tranquility Woods was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. The care I received was top notch, and the staff here actually cares about their clients. The only things a client has to focus on… is making themselves better. In addition to the staff, the grounds and amenities here only help to bring peace and calm while you’re navigating addiction or mental health recovery. I would recommend Tranquility Woods to anyone who wishes to start focusing on recovery and their own well being.

Not gonna lie, I showed up to Tranquility Woods with the attitude of a dude being sent to jury duty for a month. I was skeptical, annoyed, and fully prepared to hate the whole experience. Instead, I ended up meeting… some of the realest people I've talked to in years. The funniest part is that a bunch of people from completely different backgrounds somehow ended up in the same place having the deepest conversations imaginable one minute and arguing about the thermostat the next. Recovery is a weird universe. The staff treated me with respect, and Nicole was especially awesome. She actually listened instead of talking at people. A lot of folks there felt the same way. You can tell when somebody genuinely cares and when they're just reading from a script. I also met some great people along the way. People who made me laugh, people who challenged my thinking, and people who reminded me that everybody is carrying something heavy, whether they show it or not. The food was solid, the facility was comfortable, and I got way more out of the experience than I expected. I came in rolling my eyes and left with people I still keep in touch with. No place is perfect, but Tranquility Woods gave me time to think, reset, and meet some genuinely good human beings. Five stars from the guy who was convinced he wasn't going to give five stars. 😂 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tranquility woods has been transformative for me. The Clinicians were awesome. The grounds serene. I met with my Therapist 4 times a week. I had a weekly massage, acupuncture, great food and met friends for life. It was… a emotional rollercoaster, but I was able to start healing from my trauma. Im grateful I gave myself this gift of recovery. Now the real work begins.

This is a poorly run business with incompetent staff controlled by a selfish executive director who does not want to listen to complaints, as is part of his delegated day-to-day duties in their LLC. Instead, he would… rather hide behind clinicians, who apparently have no power and allegedly don’t even know how to contact him outside of their work system. This place has inconsistent rules that residents must abide by that change based on whether or not the PA likes you or not. If you’re not hungry for 5:30pm dinner, you can save your meal for later. If you’re not hungry at lunch, you will get a write up for saving your meal. Again- this depends who is on shift at the time and apparently staff doesn’t have to follow these eating guidelines either. Another inconsistency- during all family visits and therapy I’ve been able to approach my loved one. Then one day before a therapy session, we were informed by a staff member, that I’ve never seen before, that we must stay 6 feet apart from each other in case I’m trying to secretly pass along drugs. Inconsistent. Incompetent. And frankly, insulting. I thought this establishment was rooted in recovery and rehabilitation. However, after vicariously experiencing what my loved one went through (which is much more than some of the examples I pointed out because there are even more ridiculous ones) and what I personally experienced with no one willing to talk to me, except to “pass along the message to the executive director” it is clear this place does not care about the people. I thought a for-profit business would be better than some state-run facility. But unfortunately, this is just another job for people- not a place where they want to help you recover.

Came here for 30 days and got the help I needed. The property is beautiful with lots of wildlife. Tucked away so it's very quiet and peaceful. The house are very nice and cozy. The staff was great as well. My fave PAs… were Ryan and Chris. My clinicians were Doug and Edwin who were wonderful and really helped me work thru my issues. I would "100%" recommend.

I struggled to navigate the insurance process for my daughter’s treatment until I reached out to Tranquility Woods. The Executive Director personally guided me through each step, making an overwhelming situation feel… manageable. My daughter has rebuilt her sobriety, and Tranquility Woods played an important role by giving her the tools to cope with both big and everyday challenges. I highly recommend Tranquility Woods for their compassion, expertise, and genuine commitment to lasting recovery.

Tranquility Woods has given me so much peace for my mental health and alcoholism. I came in suffering, passively wanting to not exist. I chose to get help before I relapsed. I’ve learned more about myself and how to… pour into my cup and me here through the amazing clinicians of Brien and Grace. The ability they have to connect and really focus on you, your needs, and the way you see YOU, is what makes a huge difference. The group therapy that all the clinicians run provide comfort and ability for those scared to speak, to share and be loved in a space full of people who understand. It’s ran incredibly well, and is healing. The facility alone is beautiful. Cozy and inviting to make you feel right at home. The PA staff that help you day to day show how much you mean to this place. My absolute favorite and stand out PA Chris changed my life for the better. Most of the PAs have been here or are still in active recovery and put compassion at the forefront of their interactions. I can’t tell you how many times I had a difficult day that was emotional that they didn’t advocate and lend an ear to. Chef Thomas also brings home style love in his meals. I appreciated being able to feel at home, reminded of my mom’s cooking as a large comfort. By the Grace of God and staying sober, along with mentally well - I hope I do not have to return. But if I were to, or you are contemplating a place for you or a loved one, take the leap of faith and come to Tranquility Woods. You won’t regret it. I promise.

My experience at this facility raised serious concerns about patient safety, especially medication management, medical oversight, and disability accommodation. Medication handling was inconsistent. Medications were… missed, delayed, or did not match what I understood to be prescribed. Important medications, including insulin and gabapentin, were at times omitted. On one occasion, my blood sugar was around 400, and I was still being told I needed to go downstairs to receive medication despite prior accommodation arrangements. In another instance, I was asked to keep waiting for medication due to a facility issue even though it was already about two hours late. I arrived after a hospital stay where I had transitioned off long-term medications and onto a new one requiring careful stabilization. When I got there, the new medication was not available, and I was repeatedly offered the previous medications I had just discontinued. Continuity of care should have been prioritized. There were also issues during a transition between medication/documentation systems, which appeared to result in medications not being properly tracked or carried over. I became aware of another patient in alcohol detox who experienced delays in receiving a prescribed benzodiazepine, which raised concern about how time-sensitive medications were handled. I also observed a male patient who appeared disoriented exit his room partially dressed and attempt to enter a female patient’s room. It was only after she screamed that staff intervened. The response did not appear immediate. Clinical oversight appeared limited. I did not have any in-person interaction with a physician, and my only interaction with a psychiatrist was a brief virtual visit, despite my care being heavily medication-related. I was also given incorrect or oversimplified medical information, including being told that insulin dependence automatically means Type 1 diabetes and that thoracic spine issues do not affect balance or bladder function. Documentation and communication between providers were inconsistent. I was documented as having “open wounds” when I did not, and an issue that was supposed to be examined never was. Professional conduct was also concerning. I was asked to step outside of camera view to discuss a documentation issue, which raised concerns about transparency. I also became aware of internal staff communications about patients that appeared dismissive in tone. Disability accommodations were not provided. I walk with a cane and have a spinal cord injury with weakness in my legs. I was placed on an upper floor and required to repeatedly use stairs despite raising fall-risk concerns. Although I was told I could receive medications on the ground level, this was not consistently honored. I was often pressured to go downstairs and at times had to make repeated trips due to long waits or no staff being available. I was also told at one point to “stop complaining.” One staff member repeatedly called me by the wrong name and eventually referred to me as “big guy.” I am not tall, and I am overweight, so the implication of that wording was clear. I was required to undergo a full strip search, which felt excessive, and I later learned not all patients were subject to the same process. Overall, this facility presents itself as high-end, but my experience was one of inconsistent care, poor coordination, lack of accommodation, and concerning medication practices.

I came to Tranquility Woods voluntarily because I was working with CPS after I tried to commit suicide and I was told to go to this place to get the services for CBT. The therapist and staff are diverse (for looks),… however, the owners are not to fond of of POC and the staff, who are POC, are not your typical POC. They answer to who they work for and do as they are told no matter how it goes against their morals or ethnics. I called home one day to check on my son and was informed of him not being properly supervised by the family left at my house to care for him. He was 8 or 9 at the time and he was wandering the streets at night looking for shelter. Also, he was found eating from trash cans/ dumpsters. Tranquility Woods knew about this because they monitor calls by having calls on speaker whenever you use the phone. The girl on duty at the time was upset as well as myself and we went to the owners to see what I needed to do. I was informed to not worry about that because that would not help me. How could I think about myself when my child needed me? I did what any mother would have and got kicked out. They refuse to give me a ride to my home but thank GOD for the staff who knew what was going on. They told staff to dump me in the middle of Glen Burnie with my bags while it was raining. Even before that incident, I had a meeting with the clinical team who said that I should go home because they didn't think I was trying to get the help I needed. I went to all classes but I didn't join family day because it was a trigger for me. My family just told me to go kill myself after trying to get restraining orders on me for speaking about my traumas on Facebook Live, something I was informed to do by a therapist as a outlet for healing. I wanted to start a podcast to help others in my shoes experiencing what I have my whole life. After leaving, I was contacted about a bill for $42,000. How do I owe $42,000 when I stayed only 1 1/2 weeks-2 at their facility. Also, I had Care First insurance at the time, which I worked for them through a temp agency. I have contacted Care First numerous times and as well as Tranquility Woods about this unresolved bill. Tranquility Woods refuses to bill the insurance company. How are you for the people when you disregarded what I needed at the moment and continuously over the years failed to resolve the issue? I am informing POC to not attend this facility. My first day there, I had to ride past a house that sits at their entrance and has a confederate flag in its yard. If you go outside, you are informed not to by that house because the person there would do unspeakable things. Also, POC were not treated the same as YTs. YTs got in trouble and they offered them another placement at another one of their facilities. POC are immediate discharged and they look for legal action. Do your research like I did. Now after I leave, they offer mental health services.
