I have always received excellent service. Kaiser Permanente is truly a great family. Thank you with all my respect. 9/18/2026
I went to Downey hospital is was horrible was in labor for 24 1st time mom didnt really know and they check me in gave me pain med right away when my pain wasn't to bad didn't really explain and then with my epidural my… back now hurt I can't sleep on my belly because i cant move for a few seconds. my baby poop and they keep putting more fluid on belly and didn't recommend section even when he poop twice until my nurse told me to let them know to give me c section.dr said I was almost there to 10 when I was at 8 dialated. I w a s stuck on 8 for a few hrs. my baby heart rate kept going up and I got and infection from them checking my dilation too frequnt another thing I didn't know. my baby breathing tube had ecoli from bad equipment tested my baby and luckily it was only on equipment so yea if I could do all over I wish I didn't had to go through that and they would have help a first time mom. Staff is really nice in hospita the people on my cs3ction were rude lady after surgery told me to hold my hand on side because they gona put me on bed and I told I could because they too numb and almost dropped me while they transfer me because I was to floppy and were pushing me around like a rad doll when I just had a section a few minutes ago if I could go back I would choose a different location. Worst of all they didn't let me see my baby for 24 hrs supposedly because I needed to poop before I can get up which was really dumb my husband luckily was able to be with baby
This was by far the best experience I’ve had at Kaiser Mammography The x-ray tech and the ultrasound tech were very friendly, very cordial and professional, and the radiologist was very professional. He was very clear… on findings on my next steps. He made himself approachable where I could ask questions.
Very nice and great hospitality
Brought my spouse in for a medical procedure and we both conclude this is the worst hospital experience we have both had in our entire lives, Not enough staff, staff tells more jokes with each other than actually doing… their jobs seriously with focus, horrible wait times in THE EMERGENCY ROOM when calling for nurse aid, LEFT WAITING FOR 13 OUT OF 14 HOURS FOR A PROCEDURE THAT SHOULD TAKE MAYBE 4-6 HOURS, staff activity prioritized a racist yelling at people at full volume and harassing others instead of people who had arrived prior who were made to wait significantly longer only to kick the individual out when they got too physically aggressive. Staff has horrible time management skills; they're outwardly nice, but that's about it. At some point my spouse was taken to a room and left there without instruction on what to do before their procedure and had to find someone to assume what they needed to do there. Everything about the experience has been more than unbearable, and as I write this review, I have not been told if my spouse is able to be discharged yet, and we haven't heard from the doctor in over 2 hours about anything and the nurse tells us we just have to wait for the doctor to come "tell us whenever they are around" at this point we just wanted to leave since we have been stuck in the ER all day. We have concluded that we will never come to this hospital ever again at any point.
I had never been gotten treated with such respect , humanity and care in my life the line of doctors, nurses and all staff in general were impecable in their maners and actions , i wish all kaisers were like this… facility.
My orthopedic surgeon doctor Norheim did surgery on my back and my Neck. The best most professional and caring doctor I have ever met . She was always looking out for what was best and safe for me. She brought in a head… and neck specialist Ted Leem to the team and he also very caring because of prior surgery. Her assistant Mykeisha was also so sweet and caring person. After my surgery the stay in the hospital everybody was absolutely wonderful.
Great experience, as always.
WOW, I have never been to this facility and am so impressed!! Easy to find parking. My appointment was in nuclear medicine/radiology. It was easy for me to find in this big facility and they got me in a month sooner… than others. I was greeted by a very nice receptionist and taken in very quickly. Great information and mental support provided, as I was extremely nervous. Singh was so funny, kind and helpful! Van did my second scan and answered my 100 questions. He never rushed me and made me feel so comfortable. Excellent facility!!
If youre pregnant and coming to this hospital please advocate for yourself. I told the Dr. I was in pain and she said "well thats pregnancy for you" and walked out. When I finally got epidural because the nurse noticed… I wasn't okay they did it wrong the first time. So they did it again. It finally worked. They didn't read that I was allergic to latex gloves. I didnt get food for like three days just ice and juice cause they weren't sure it was going to be a c section. Once my baby was born they send me out with him having jaundice. EVEN when the nurse mentioned he has jaundice. The nurses are amazing there but kaiser really needs to check what's going on with their delivery doctors because this experience made me not want to ever get pregnant again.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Park and the entire medical and nursing team at Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center. I underwent major spine surgery in July, and I am very grateful for the… professional care, patience, and kindness I received before, during, and after my surgery. My recovery has been progressing well, and I truly appreciate everything the doctors, nurses, and staff have done for me. Their care gave me confidence throughout this difficult journey. Thank you, Dr. Park and the entire Kaiser Downey team, for your excellent care and dedication. I am very grateful to all of you.
Clean, Friendly Employees, Always Helpful
Peter Bonifacio was an excellent help. Helped me oit since I was having trouble navgating throughtout the hospital.
Sorely understaffed hospital.
I love my Kaiser Permanente, wherever I go or whatever department so far I am very satisfied with my people at Kaiser, I just went for an ultrasound and my nurse was very efficient. Very nice, very kind, very pleasant… and at the end of it all I told her yeah an easy breezy job, She did mention it’s not all easy breezy ( with a smile 😊) Butt because you still gotta do all the paperwork, lol 😊 “Butt, said she loves her job,” truly loves her job!! That’s what you wanna hear because that means your (THIS) employee puts their all into their day and into their patients.😊
The nurses have been taking great care of my father during his hospice care. So grateful to the staff for all their care, second floor nurses at the main hospital are true blessing. 🙏♥️

I’ve had a good experience at Kaiser Downey. The facility is clean and organized, and most of the staff have been friendly, professional, and helpful. I also like how easy it is to handle appointments, labs,… prescriptions, and follow-ups all through Kaiser. It can get busy at times, but overall I’ve been very happy with the care and service here.
All my care team was great! All the nurses and staff were very nice! My delivery went very well as well!
Came into ED today as recommended by provider with inability to stand or walk due to dizziness. Had to be wheeled in. Blood drawn and got results on my record, but waiting in lobby in hard as rock kaiser wheelchair.… Blood pressure is high, slight fever and my because killing me,but WAIT,WAIT,WAIT. TERRIBLE ED.
My experience was very good. The doctors and all the staff were very attentive. Thank you very much.
My daughter was admitted to the 3rd floor. She's been here for 4 days and Irene, RN has been her nurse. Irene has been very attentive to my daughter's needs and goes above and beyond her work to keep patients happy.… Thank you Irene for your hard work and hope to see you next month when my daughter is ready to deliver. Also, Jay-RN was very helpful and dedicated to her job. She explained everything that needed to be done. We definitely had a good experience with Jay. The only down side was that they delivered my daughter's breakfast while she was having a stress test for baby. Then they brought her back to her room after 20 minutes. She was about to have breakfast when they picked her up again for an ultrasound. When they brought her back she had a cold breakfast. I asked the nurse if we can request another tray or if they can warm up her food and she said no. (Mind this was not Irene it was another nurse). Also, the bed kind of smelled like it's hasn't been cleaned for months. We were in the same room for 4 days and house keeper showed up the day we were about to dc.
I was hospitalized about a month ago and was offered free services at Hospitality. Reggie was super friendly, he was the one that picked me up from my hospital room. While I was there, I met another employee named… Lourdes. Both Hospitaliy persons went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and safe. Thank you Reggie and Lourdes! Top notch teamwork!
This is one place I rather be when I need to come because it's way better then usc general
I had a deeply upsetting experience during labor at Kaiser Permanente Downey. While I was in severe pain and struggling to cope with contractions, Dr. Sabrina Cynthia Cafaro shouted at me instead of showing compassion… or helping me feel safe. I was crying, kicking, and clearly in distress, yet I felt that both the doctor and the care team treated me without patience, empathy, or basic humanity. As a Muslim woman who wears hijab, I cannot say for certain whether bias played a role, but the experience left me questioning whether I was treated differently because of my faith or appearance. No woman in labor should feel judged, frightened, or disrespected during such a vulnerable moment. I hope Kaiser takes this complaint seriously, reviews what happened, and ensures that future patients are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
