I had a group meeting this afternoon with Dametreus as the facilitator. I've honestly got to say. It's been the most helpful part of my program here. He's very open, understanding and takes the time to get to know each… of us as a person not an addict. Thank you Ken Seleey and May God bless .

I was lost. I asked staff for assistance. They just waived me off RUDELY. I don't see how this meeting volunteer or not could assist members with addiction. I am me Mental Health Nurse locally. Sad, I experienced this… first hand

My wife and I were residence for a week here and it was the worst decision we ever made. We made them aware of my wife’s medical condition which includes she can not be in hot temperatures or in direct sunlight for long… periods As to it puts her in a flare up with her disease known as Lupus We were misled as to the temperatures and our condo’s air conditioners did not work My wife went to the hospital twice in about a 72 hr period. I’m bipolar 1 and my lithium levels were at a toxic level and we were told my labs would be addressed immediately after a week of complaints about my mental health and them disregarding any concern my wife and I had they set us aside and did not hold to there promises. Now there’s a house manager Ken at the E Amado condos for the center that refused to knock and announce himself as male staff He walked in on my wife twice and we discovered that he’s done this to multiple female clients. We addressed it to the Director and she laughed at me as if this were a joke and completely disregarded any professional action and repeated numerous times my wife said she was staying after they kick me out of the program Trying to split us up These treatment centers are notorious for this type of lack in professionalism and or following any type of protocol and or HIPPA laws and regulations. These people are an insurance scam if I’ve ever seen one … And I suggest you disregard their promises because it’s all lies And in my opinion your wives and or spouses are not safe at all when the staff just walks in and goes straight towards the bedroom stating to me after I approached him that he heard her voice and just walked in That was not the first time he done this to my wife or other females. Please find somewhere else and out of the desert it’s miserable.

I had an overall positive experience with them and would recommend them to other people they worked out my flights from Florida to California and I was there for around 3 months came home and continued local treatment… Sept 19th will be 2 years sober and it started with them and me willing to work the process.

I came there at 63: A lifetime of alcohol and addiction. My solution: days before entering rehab, was suicide by cop. Fortunately, a call from a sober friend intervened. Thankfully, I came in willing. I will have 4… years of continuous sobriety on August 2nd. I am forever grateful that I came here. All rehabs are not the same I found out. Thank you for giving me a chance at reclaiming my life

Half of the good reviews on here are from people who work there (Drew, Camila, Cheree). DO NOT be fooled. LaMitchell, who is/was supposed to be running the place, has 0 qualifications other than certifications he’s… given himself. In my opinion, this place is unprofessional, unqualified, and has zero integrity. Client well-being does not seem to be the priority of management. It appears they are trying to keep their failing business afloat at all costs. There are multiple lawsuits out against them currently. There are many other places in the desert where good help is available.

Please be aware of the lower reviews for this facility, and really for ANY facility like this-or service such as "interventionist". I know that the popular television series makes it look like such a great idea. It is… often mishandled, and was often mishandled on that show. Do yourself a favor and find someone who specializes in this, but is willing to explore alternate paths, and ONLY performs these confrontational interventions in very limited and emergent situations. If you are a loved one of someone who is struggling with use, then you most likely are suffering as well. Please find help for yourself from others, there are a lot of support groups (I am not posting specifics, because I am not trying to advertise). Google support for family of alcoholics and addicts-and explore what is available. This facility may be fine, I don't know as I have not been here. What I can say, though, is that it seems like this specific facility is only interested in promoting their own agenda. Often times these confrontational interventions are so harmful. Of course it makes for great television...it is really sensational. It can do much more harm than good. There is a much better way to 'intervene' in someone's addiction. It is not as sensational, and takes a lot more time and patience. Please just look at the other options available....I implore you as someone who has experience in this field. Addendum: Especially since one of the few reviews for this "community" is actually someone from the community itself. Please be a cautious consumer!! Further Addendum: Just because a business looks in its records and does not recognize the person who is posting a review does NOT mean that that person has not had an interaction with said business. I have not used this businesses services, that does not mean that I have not had an interaction with them. I am not going to go into specifics, as that is not what this review is about. I am very aware that what is seen on the television is cut and edited for time, that does not mean that the interventions were all performed as safely and ethically as possible. The very nature of that particular television show, and the myriad of people now advertising themselves in the "intervention" business has gone a long way to giving the public a dangerous view of that practice. That is not the only, or even the safest way to go about helping the people that we love. There are so many better ways to go about doing this. Furthermore this practice has gone a long way to support the stigma that people with the disease of addiction already face. There are a LOT of people who are available across the country who are much better at this practice, and who take the road of patience over sensationalizing. I implore people to do their research before choosing someone....don't just think that because someone has been on television that they are the experts in their field. I am choosing not to contact this business back because I have already been given the spiel, and do not feel like I need that again, thank you.

After filling out the form on the main page last night, a gentleman called me within maybe 10 minutes to discuss what I needed. After telling him the story he said he'd text me back with information of what is needed… moving forward and then he would call me back, today, at 10:30 am, and I made sure he knew I meant 10:30 my time, central time. Well, I never received a text message from him nor did he call me back. So needless to say, my search continues for a reputable interventionist.

Do not send yourself or a loved one to this facility. A loved one in my family attended this facility and the people here are full of broken promises. They are all about telling you what they think you want to hear and… as long as they get their payment everything they've said or promised goes to the back burner. Whether this is an appropriate fit for you or your loved one they will ONLY advise you on THEIR facility and not in another direction, even if it is what's best for you/them. They are not about the patient, they are about the bottom dollar. Many, many promises were made to my family and they have not delivered on one. If you care about your loved one, do not encourage them or advise them to attend this facility. You will be saving yourself time and money by not partaking in their empty words or programming.

i wish i could give this rehab 100 stars! Me and my husband somehow with the grace of god ended up at Ken Seleey communities. i cant even explain how much they helped us and have changed our lives! when we walked… through those door we had nothing besides a horrible addiction and a baby on the way. this rehab is truly amazing! the houses are so homey and clean! the staff are wonderful people! the family advocate is there for the clients 24/7 and actually mends the familys together! the counselors help you with anything you need, the owner ken, actually runs groups himself. they all go beyond and above to help people. we stayed for 8 months and our lives have changed tremendously and it wouldn't be without ken seeley rehab. we now have a beautiful baby and an apartment, my relationship has been stronger than ever and i have my family back. and i still have great relationships with the people at the rehab! i 1000% recommend anyone who is serious about their recovery to go to ken seeley rehab!

For the last 24 years of my life my mother has been dropping me off at greyhound stations with nothing more than a backpack. Her only wish was that this would be the time I finally found what I was looking for.… Unfortunately each time I would return a little more broken. 17 months ago my mother dropped me off at that same greyhound station with that same backpack and this time I found what I needed. Thanks to the Ken Seeley staff I am a little less broken with each passing day. What I have learned from Ken Seeley and his program is that I had to, not only be willing to change but I also had to be honest. All the tools in the world are worthless if you refuse to use them. Through Kens program I was offered outstanding therapy, guidance and compassion. But, most of all I was offered structure, supervision and accountability. For an addict those are things I found difficult to adjust to. Those are also the things I needed the most. Ken and his team have given me a new lease on life, a new outlook on my future and a new way of thinking. Moreover, Ken has given my family their Timmy back. For that, we owe Ken a great deal of gratitude. If you are looking for a program to help you better change your life and rise above your addiction then me and my entire family would strongly recommend Ken Seeley Communities. Timmy-

The community is great overall. My expienece has been wonderful. I get along with my case manager and all the staff very well which makes my experience even better. I've never had a problem with my house managers or… case manager one time. Plus the community aspect of feeling like a family more than I ever thought possible. Everyone helps me through my recovery on a daily basis even if it's just in a small way. I would definitely recommend this place.

First and foremost, I am still sober months after attending KSC. However, the only people that seem to care for the clients are the therapists...Rita and Dr Jamie. They are great and top notch. Other than that, the… website has a lot of false advertisement. For instance, the men's residence (Palm Tee) is described as a beautiful and luxurious resort style living; in reality it's just an old motel 6 that's way overdue on being remodeled. Everything's broken and the owners refuse to fix anything. ($1200 a month and you would assume that you would have working dishwashers and not have to pay for laundry). Also, I felt very uncomfortable working with my case manager, John Keller. He was very unprofessional at times and the line between client and professional was crossed COUNTLESS times. Not only were many inappropriate sexual jokes/comments made, my personal business was also shared with people around town. I did not appreciate this one bit. Aside from being ILLEGAL, it made me lose trust in him. (I wish I could give ZERO stars) In conclusion, just beware of this place. Not everything is unicorns and rainbows as they like to advertise on the website. If you are looking for treatment, I recommend that you look else where. There are so many others out there. Find one that cares about their clients, one that actually wants to help. If you are looking for one here in the same area thats actually reputable on all aspects, I recommend Michael's House. Hope this helps at least one person out there to avoid what I had to go through at KSC!
