Absolutely appalling. My friend tried to help a family member by providing information anonymously. Instead, staff insulted her, dismissed her concerns, and disclosed her identity—showing a disturbing lack of… confidentiality and professional boundaries. She has now had to recover emotionally from the way this facility treated her, on top of everything she already endured trying to help her loved one through addiction. A treatment center should help families heal, not cause more harm. Find somewhere that understands confidentiality, professionalism, and basic human decency.
Any rehab is better than none. But if you can go somewhere else, you might consider that. I am a community member and had a loved one there. I went to visit there at the behest of those counseling me. But when I went, I… had a very negative experience with their clinical director. Due to what I experienced, I would say that they don't deal well with the public, community members, and those with loved ones there. There may be other staff there to interface with that can produce positive outcomes. But with the director, he didn't listen to me, yet acted like he knew everything about me. He did most of the talking, and it was a lot of psychological language being thrown around. I couldn't sense any genuine love or care toward me as a person. To those in authority like that, I would say to them, "First, do no harm". I have had doctors that listened much better than him (he didn't listen to me at all) yet he is in a position here to be influencing people's lives, both the patients and their loved ones. It was a very harmful experience for me. I also was told that I was being seen anonymously, yet later, my loved one came to me and told me some horrible things they said about me. So they didn't honor what they had said to me. I was polite, yet they really did a lot of harm in all this. The bottom line is that I was lied to and lied about from this rehab. I would hope for people in authority/people in the position of helping others direct their lives...I would certainly hope and expect more of them than the experience I had with them.
I love these guys like family! Marcy and the Doc were both extremely influential on my continuing recovery. The inclusiveness of the groups and tailored services are determined to fit the needs of the clients. I really… miss these guys but I have moved to Colorado and have rebuilt a happy and successful new life. I stay grateful and connected to my higher power. I also have a home group and an awesome 12-step family here at the Grand Junction Alano Club! God Bless
Started an intake . Went to a few groups . Spoke to Marci a counselor for part of the intake process for about an hour. Was told by the owner without a complete intake done that I've been diagnosed as schizo . HAHA.… Answered clearly when they asked do I hear voices , no I do not. Mentioned V2K which is something on Google that anyone can read about . I do have a personal psychiatrist who has spent time with me and was def. NOT diagnosed with schizo. These individuals were remiss and clearly negligent and uninformed to prematurely attempt a diagnoses without a complete intake . Shame on them clinically irresponsible as well as clearly unprofessionally inconsiderate. Very disappointed as I had high hopes. Trust is nil here. Also when you go to group they do not allow you to know the topic of your group at the time so you have no way to know what you are walking into in order to address your needs as an adult on a daily basis and the the issues and challenges you want to address and work through. This is a major flaw in their program which is unhelpful and does not promote accountability and acceptance within one's self to take responsibility in one's own recovery and happiness. Wish everyone there to be accountable for this input. As I am accountable for my response to there ridiculous unproven misinformed diagnoses that was done WITHOUT A COMPLETED INTAKE AND ONLY AN HOUR OF DISCUSSION WITH A. " COUNSELOR "
Great place to address addiction and mental health. Most recently we went on a spiritual hike in Indian Canyon that was fantastic. The photo is from the top of the trail. The people here are caring and knowledgeable.… Your treated with dignity. I came here straight from inpatient treatment at ABC. Definitely has had a great impact on my recovery. You are taken through an assortment of methods that address addiction and mental health. There is alot of unity here. Definitely recommend.
Adventure Therapy @ ATS IOP. We believe in the transformative power of nature and adventure. Our outings are designed to provide a unique and holistic approach to healing and personal growth.
I was skeptical. I'm always skeptical. Turns out ATS has some excellent therapists and counselors. A couple of them are exceptional. A very valued experience for sure.
I love this place the counselors helped me out big time I came here struggling with my addiction and now I'm clean
Although it sounds a little dramatic, I have to admit that ATS saved my life, without question. ATS is more than just safe space to get well, it is a comprehensive program consisting of both private and group therapies,… in-depth educational instruction, and family-style support and accountability. ATS offered me more than just a treatment for substance abuse- it gave me an opportunity to reach deeper, to understand myself better, and to address the issues that were at the root of my addiction. After several months of outpatient therapy, I was offered after-care support for an additional month, and then invited to attend weekly alumni meetings. The patient-centered care and guidance that I received, and continue to receive, has been fundamental in my ability to stay clean and sober now two and a half years later. I will be forever grateful to the staff and counselors for my life today.
Great place. Amazing staff and facility.
Amazing staff and facility
I would recommend ATS to anyone looking for help. The counselors here are WONDERFUL! I have learned a lot about myself and ways to cope with trauma, addiction, and depression. I never thought I would be able to live a… sober life. Jewels, Mark, Cody, Jim, Ray are all very knowledgeable and caring!! I could not have done better anywhere else. If you’re looking for help I would highly recommend ATS!!
