This place help me get my life back on track! I was deep in my addiction and came here with no hope or goals. I am leaving today and can gladly say that I am enrolled in college thanks to them , 64 days sober, and… gained a bunch of new friends. They make it feel like a home here. Stella and Micheal are awesome and the staff here are so welcoming. Shout out to my case manager Rich for pushing me to be a better man and to enroll in school. Shout out to Stephanie for always holding space and allowing us to vent and get over hard situations. Biggest shout out to Jaime AKA The 🐿️ who always makes groups great. If you come to Align complaining about what it doesn't have then you will never be able to pick up the blessings it offers. Many rehabs I've been to don't have the magic this place has. Very proud to say we stayed here and although we were just discharged Sept 1st. I must admit this place changed our lives for the better! I recommend Align for many different reasons but number one reason is because… they believed in us! Us as a married couple doing inpatient together! We were desperately trying to find a place that would accept us as a union. Every single place denied us based on old evidence that it’s impossible to recover programming together. Michael and Dana welcomed us with open arms! They hadn’t given us the green light right when we called, they did tell us they had to run it by the house and call us back. They did exactly as they told us they would, they called us back and accepted us and told us they were going to give it a shot and we were the first couple they ever let do inpatient. For them to be willing to take a gamble on us and allow us to program together was definitely what we needed! Here we are with 65 days under our belt and we give it all to the beautiful staff here! Even the housekeepers were so sweet and welcoming! Every employee does their job with pride and a smile! The counselor’s; Jeremy, Lucy, Lizette and a week before discharge Tim came on board not to mention the top notch director who was our therapist; Dana was the dopest therapist I have met! Way down to earth and so hip with the lingo we speak! I loved every single one of them! Even the owner gets his hands dirty and engages with the clients and always offers hospitality and support! He knows us all by name and has a wonderful wife Stella who runs the kitchen! The meals are fabulous! And they always had plenty to feed us! The rooms are nicely furnished with comfortable beds! The medical staff was the bomb as well! Especially Felipe, Griselda, Dominic and Juan! The entire staff was so friendly and really cared about us as people! The group therapy was great! From yoga to DBT all the classes were informative and the meetings in sonoma are so unique! We wanted to stay another 30 days but insurance only approved our extensions every 7 days and that was the worst part, waiting to see what was to come in 7 days?! That in itself was stressful! If we were approved for a whole other 30 days, we definitely would have stayed! I really miss them all and the other residents we bonded with! I strongly suggest you give them a try, when you first get there it’s uncomfortable because you are coming down and it’s the worst and completely normal to want to leave and go home, we suggest you stick it out 14 days minimum before making a decision to go home! If you are serious about a new better life……stick it out! If anyone gave poor reviews, I highly doubt they were serious about recovery! Align is the shit! I carry their flyers with us every where we go and that’s because I believe that is the best place to do any treatment! Thank You all! DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE. worst place i’ve ever been in, i escaped after 5 days bc of how horrible it was. none of the staff is qualified to work with high risk kids, they isolated me from my family, they don’t do… anything when someone self harms, you have absolutely zero privacy. i have really bad sensory issues bc of autism and after explaining that to the staff multiple times they continued to ignore it and give me food i physically couldn’t eat and then accuse me of starving when i wasn’t i genuinely could not eat that food without throwing up bc of the texture. this is not a good environment for anyone but especially kids that are already mentally unstable.

Align saved my life. The owners are so kind and so welcoming. It really felt like I was staying with family. Align is a community of peers who genuinely care for everyone. This experience was the biggest stepping stone… to my recovery! I recommend anyone who is struggling to spend time in this program.

Align Recovery Centers changed my life. I had never been to treatment before so I had no idea what to expect. The minute you walk inside you immediately feel the warmth, heart, and dedication of the team. Michael and… Stella have created a place where you feel like a person, not just another number. The genuine compassion the entire staff has is incredible. You feel like part of a family, while being thoughtfully guided through the recovery process. I thought I could never be happy again, but this place has a magic effect, and I will be forever grateful.

Friendly environment and wonderful people

Well, I went here for detox only. I was unhappy so I went somewhere else for residential. First, let me say that every other client I spoke to was happy here... Why wasn't I? They pushed me into groups when I was still… detoxing, the food was awful and you had to buy your own snacks, they messed with my meds... Also, they were very strict about phones. Overly so....food was awful. Like I said, everyone I talked to here was happy here...,but I elected to go to residential at Bayside Marin and I'm much happier here. I didn't stay long enough to get a true impression of their program but if they had not messed with my medication, had halfway decent food, snacks and coffee, and had a more sensible phone policy I might have stayed. Have met two other people here at Bayside who literally hated Align.....YMMV Update: Just found out Dr. Popov had his medical license suspended! I knew there was something fishy about this place..... Review changed from three stars to two.

Align has a clear mission and it's carried out by every single member of the staff. Michael, Stella, and every single case manager work hard to create a space for you to come back home to yourself. Couldn't recommend… this place more.

The entire staff is amazing other than the owners. Who no one knows when or why you’re not in the circle of people they like. I’d give this place 5 stars based on every other single person who works there.

Align recovery in sonoma has made me realize how important it is to remain sober , not only for myself but also for my family, and friends, Align's staff, and medical team embraced me with open arms along with the… Amazing food and my peers I've met there has made a positively tremendous impact on my life today. I continue to stay in touch with them today and im proud to say that they are all Family.

This is about 3 years late but my son was at Align and it was exactly what he needed. The staff and those attending to him were excellent and he still looks back knowing that was exactly what he needed. Thank you,… Michael!

I highly recommend Align Recovery Center if you are looking for a great alcohol and drug program. The owners Michael and Stella are two of the most compassionate and selfless people I have met. I came into this program… at my rock bottom. My family found Align and I was honestly scared to even consider detox let alone a 30 day program. As soon as I entered the doors they welcomed me with open arms. The staff which consist of nurses and counselors are comforting and just genuinely want you to get better. I was honestly so scared to commit but I'm so glad I did. Stella is a wonderful cook and she cooks with her heart. The rooms are spacious and the whole build is top notch clean. We had about 5 groups a day and I learned so much about my recovery. I came out feeling stronger than ever. If you are looking for a program that feels like home and teaches you about addiction and recovery then I 100% recommend. I'm so glad to call myself an Alumni from Align.

Align has truly saved my life. Michael and Stella and the entire staff are so welcoming, loving and helpful. They each create a genuine sense of family that translates between all of the clients. I have made very… important, long term friendships at Align. The environment harnesses vulnerable, deep and caring connections. I feel remarkably safe at Align and welcome back always if I ever need. Stella’s cooking is incredible. The food could not be better and she makes sure we are all well fed. Michael is so helpful, kind and supportive. Truly a person to rely on. The counselors sincerely go above and beyond to help you with any needs or feelings you may have. I have so much admiration for their authentic and compassionate hard work. They have helped me immensely. Med staff is great and helpful. There’s regular meetings with therapists, psychiatrists, and a doctor that are very supportive. The cleaning/ cooking staff is outstanding. The building is regularly cleaned. It’s a wonderful place and I would recommend anyone struggling to please go here. Be loved by the Align community. I have been twice now and each time has been so important to my well being. I deeply love and appreciate align. I came out a better, more full, safer, and healed version of myself. A Recovery Center like no other. Michael and Michelle will compassionately educate and guide you, Stella will feed you like a Mom and make sure that you feel at home so you can focus on your recovery. This place… embodies Inclusion and Diversity. The staff are all extremely compassionate, most are in recovery as well and you will have access to every counselor, therapist and Dr. on Staff. A true program of empowerment. Highly recommend giving Michael a call, when you are ready.

I recently completed a 30-day residential rehab at Align, which has had an incredibly positive impact on my life. I entered following my latest relapse and left, for the first time ever, with an understanding of my… addiction, my triggers, and importantly, coping mechanisms tailored to me that I can use as part of my recovery. The counselors are caring and provide group instruction in an engaging manner, creating a culture of sharing, openness, and learning. Individual assessment and recovery plans are developed in concert with case managers. And, the nursing and medical team are knowledgeable, friendly, and super supportive. I appreciated that the group instruction and individual sessions were broken up with time for outside recovery groups (off-campus AA mtgs and/or online alternatives - LifeRing, SmartRecovery, Dharma, etc.; weekly on-site H&I (AA) meetings), weekly walks for ice cream, and bonding activities (trivia, music, evening games among residents, etc.). While Align resides in a large building that is over 100 years old, and therefore feels a bit dated initially, it is ideally suited for a recovery facility, is very clean (kitchen, hallways, bathrooms, etc. cleaned several times a day), and the food is hearty and delicious. During my time at Align, I saw numerous instances of the owners, Michael and Stella, going above and beyond to help out residents with their specific family or personal issues, even if they involved matters outside of individual recovery plans. They and the entire team at Align are very caring people, showing compassion that many of my fellow residents said was not present at other facilities they had been at previously. Without Align, I wouldn't be sober today nor have, for the first time ever, optimism in my ability to remain sober for the rest of my life. Thank you, Align.

I have been to multiple rehabs and this was the best one I have been to. Michael and Stella are put a lot of care and love into making this place a safe place to get sober. It has a homey feel. Stella prepares all the… meals herself. She is a great cook. Align is a great rehab and also very affordable if you have to pay cash. The staff as a whole was very good. The only staff member I thought wasn’t fit for the job no longer works there. Finally, they have a Jeremy. Jeremy was the best counselor I could have asked for. He made it really easy to be there and sit through each and every one of the classes they run there. He is funny and engaging but also very serious about helping us get the tools we need to stay clean and sober. I am still clean and sober over a year later. Highly recommend this place! I went here twice and each time it has saved my life. The way Micheal and Stella run the place is different than any other facility you could go to. They go above and beyond for each individual person. I always felt… safe and like I was meant to be here. I’m so appreciative of how they go about treating every person in every way: spiritually, mentally, and physically. Align Recovery Center in Sonoma CA is bar none the best in recovery services in California. Michael and Stella go out of their way to make recovering from Alcohol and Drugs a unique, one on one, taylored to the… individual. Everyone is different and that is what makes Align so special. Dr. Alex meets with the person once a week and my first visit with him was an hour and a half long. The counselors are qualifed, caring, and thorough. It's a team effort and they get down to the root of problem. They give you several tools to take with you when you leave. When you leave they help you set up a specialized aftercare program that is structured and will have you feel confident on successfully beating your addiction. You are not thrown out to the wolves in the world. I have confidence that I will maintain my sobriety. The friends I gained at Align will be lifelong and I have a strong support system to remain drug and alcohol free. I am most grateful for experiences I encountered at Align.

I would not know where to begin if I was to try and tell you about everything that's amazing about Align Recovery Center. I'm sure there are tons of amazing posts on here that go through all the details of the specifics… and the tangible things. I will use the opportunity to share that I have had a deeply transformative experience that has changed my life in a more profound way than I ever thought possible, solving almost every single problem I can think of that I've been carrying around with me on my back for the past 30 years. I'm not talking about spending months and months in therapy and about a painful struggle for recovery. And I am talking about complex lifelong intertwined problems of multiple psychiatric and polysubstance abuse disorders. After 3.5 weeks of really hard work i woke up to find that my brain was working in a really different way. The night before I had an experience that I can only describe as some kind of divine intervention, and for anybody that knows me I am the least religious if not the most agnostic person around, so for me to say this is crazy. At that moment I still had some large obstacles in front of me, yet I didn't spend a moment thinking they were not going to be solved. I was so carefree and optimistic about my future that it even worried the closest people around me who care deeply about me that I may not be taking my situation seriously enough. That was three days ago, everyone of those problems have been solved. It's only in retrospect today that I realize the negative patterns of thought that would have interfered with my success over the past 3 days, and there are dozen examples. I never could have made it this far without the people and help from Align Recovery Center. They have not only saved my life but they've given me the ability to live the most beautiful incredible future beyond what I thought would ever be possible. Thank you Michael, Stella, all of your amazing staff, and each of you who are reading this who were there with me and helped me through this incredibly difficult time. And thanks to Savannah and the chickens. I love you all and will never forget any of you for the rest of my life.

Going to Align was the greatest decision I’ve ever made. It truly changed my life more than I could have ever imagined. The entire staff from top to bottom are the most amazing, loving and caring people that I have ever… met. When a person comes to Align they are not just a client they are a human being.

I was greatly satisfied with everything at Align. From the food, to the personnel, the education provided. It is a very pleasant place to heal. It felt like family overall. At first thought I was going to have a problem… with my English, but everyone here helped me to break that barrier. Thank you again!

Well first off words cant describe how much I learned from Align but I will do my best.First if you or someone you love is suffering from addiction this is the best program out there,its more than your average rehab its… more life a life academy where you learn things about yourself and come to understand the things that hold you back,addictions are a by product of unresolved trauma and issues never addressed. Michael's visionary approach to treatment is truly one of a kind ,and Stella's cooking is phenomenal and filled with love.Every one of the staff is qualified and compasiante and treat you as a person and not a number on a caseload you feel seen and heard and they are super supportive.the curriculum is very precise and thought provoking and the peers in the program make it easy to be vulnerable.you will receive an individualized treatment plan suited to your specific needs,recovery is not one size fits all and at align they understand that,you will also learn mindful communication and qi gong as well as yoga Investing in your life is never a waste a momey and dont hesitate to call ,take a tour and see for yourself i hope this review makes your decision a little easier it can be stressful and hard looking for help,but align makes it easier. Align saved my family, marriage, and my life!!! Michael & Stella run a magical place with a top tier staff. I came in hopeless, worthless, and surrendered. In 30 days I left a different person. I received individual… care as they believe one treatment type does not fit everyone. Case workers, therapist, RN nurses, and an amazing doctor will be there for you every step of the way. You will be welcomed and taken care of with compassion as soon as you walk in the doors. Amazing food, exeecise, comfy rooms and beds, and Savannah (dog) to play with will help with your recovery. My success is also due to the bond I built with the other residents. We poured our souls and fears to each other. We supported everyone and still connect daily via group chat. I am sober, my marriage is the strongest it has ever been, I have self worth and happiness, my daughter & I reconcilled (due to help from my counselor Lizzette!), and I have 13 new friends that I know will be there for me. I didn't want to leave! I'll be back next month for a visit!!
