Sandstone Care – Towson Detox and Rehab Services
Sandstone Care – Towson appears on the register for partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

Sandstone Care – Towson Address, Location and Contact Information
Records give the address as 521 East Joppa Road, Towson, Maryland, 21286. This address falls in Baltimore County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. The practical question of getting to appointments week after week is worth thinking through at the outset.
Phone ahead about parking, access and what the first appointment covers. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

Sandstone Care – Towson Reviews and Ratings
Reviews are where patients and families describe Sandstone Care in their own terms: the welcome at admission, the counseling, the planning for life after treatment.
Reading them is a sensible step before calling the Towson facility. Writing one, if you have been treated there, helps the families who come next.
If I could give zero stars, I would! Terrible company and their practices are wild!!! Constant turnover of therapists and the company in whole LACKS transparency. They only want one thing, your money!! They don’t care… about your mental health or anything else that you are seeking help for! It’s all illusions so they can get a kickback as numbers is all they focus on!! It is best to find a PROFESSIONAL on psychology today!!!!! UPDATE: This company is now putting FAKE reviews from their management! The Nicole Shaw review is FAKE as she is SOME kind of manager including Kai Lird don’t trust it!!!!!
We’ve tried many different treatment facilities for our loved one, and Sandstone Care has made the biggest impact. The support and care have been outstanding, and the progress so far has been very encouraging. We’re… grateful for everything the team has done. Thank you for building hope.
I was deeply disappointed by my family member's experience here. It was not at all what we were told it would be. The admission office tells you what you want to hear but, unfortunately, what they tell you isn't… actually true. We had very high hopes but I cannot recommend this place. My family really needed what they said they provided. They lied and it ended up being a colossal waste of our time. Addition: Please note at the time of your reply I have reached out FIVE TIMES) texted THREE TIMES and called TWICE) to ask you to UN-enroll my family member and have gotten zero responses. So please don't pretend publicly on this site that you care because your actions show otherwise!
Solid referral option for our therapy practice when looking for teen options in Towson.
Sandstone is absolutely horrible. The travel therapist is horrible. The therapists in general are horrible and untrustworthy. If your child/teen is going through addiction... there are many better places then here. If… you can't find any then just consistently drug test your teen. Its a day care and at the beginning of a "session" they drug test you. Thats it. Nothing good to say about this place.
This place is horrible jasmine the psychiatrist is rude and only cares about her license and doesn’t understand how to prescribe medication properly the director is extremely rude and disrespectful the program overall… does not help and is really just telling you simple things that you know do not send your kid here
I was in php for 6 weeks and transitioned to iop afterwards. I was not receiving proper care that I was promised by the sandstone care center. In IOP patients are supposed to receive individual sessions with their… therapist. We also are supposed to have lessons every day. I have been in iop from October 17th to December 15th and I still have not received an individual session. Ryan also did not have a lesson plan for each day as therapists. My therapist Ryan did not have an individual session with me once. The director of sandstone Raimi, her job as the director at sandstone is to make sure the therapist are doing their jobs and everything they are required to do as a therapist. She has failed to do this as a director. Raimi is required to make sure patients at sandstone are receiving proper care and she has failed to do this.
If you care about tour child at all don’t send your kid here!!! I sent my 15 year old there a few months ago. She ran away with another kid for a week overdosed and was hospitalized. Sandstone basically called me told… me good luck. Never reached out to our family not 1 time. Never provided any additional resources like they advertise. Spoke to police officers in the area and they say kids running away from this place is a common occurrence and all sandstone has to do is call the police and wipe their hands clean of the situation. I’m still getting charged $300 monthly. Negligence is the only thing to blame, just letting kids who have mental health issues run off and leaving you with the hospital bills and charging you for the services you may or may not use. They have a cook that cooks for them once a week not as advertised. They don’t give you equine therapy as they tell you when you arrive also. Like I said before IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR CHILD! DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!
This is one of my best experiences in my life honestly I can hear was welcome by everyone like a family we got so close everyone is like family. I was able to change my mindset On a lot of things I more vocally… available I feel safe the staff is great my mental is as great as it was when I was obliviously to how hard life could get they make it so comfortable for you to open up because everyone does and no judgement just suggestions and ideas to help change you prospective on every I appreciate this and will never revert to my ways unless I just miss this place too much when I make it lol some nah all jokes aside this is one of the best places I’ve been and it’s for one of the worst reason but once you get here and through that first night you’ll love it
Sandstone discharged me without having a discharge plan in place leaving me to figure things out by myself when I’m still trying to work through the programs transitioning to an IOP. I was literally texted by one of the… therapist one day not to come in the next day. Also, I had difficulty with the afternoon group therapist causing me to not even be able to attend those groups. Overall, it left a sour taste in my mouth for sure.
I’m not sure if the provider for young adult IOP Bridgette is still there, but about two years ago at the lowest point in my life her and sandstone taught me so so much and I appreciate them every day honestly
I had a good experience overall. The people there were very welcoming. I could relate to other people who have experienced similar things to me. And I felt like people there took me seriously and heard what I have to… say.
I was really satisfied for the services y'all gave me,
Always being put on hold, says there gonna call back but never dose,
what an awful establishment LOL. I was refused medicine, verbally abused, manipulated, punished for unimportant and even unrelated incidents that I had nothing to do with. People were discriminated, bullied for… sexuality ... there was even a girl who was self harming so bad her life could have been at risk, not only did they do nothing to prevent the "daily cutting" , they didn't even report it, and multiple staff members had been told. Now, most teens obviously are going to be rebellious about a rehab. If its absolutely needed, work with your child to find the right place that will suit him or her's needs to recover. But PLEASE, for the sake of your children's health, send them here. We Almos even filed a lawsuit but it wasn't worth the trouble.
From my personal experience we just watched movies and sat there for two and a half hours for 4 days a week. It was hell and literally put me into my deepest depression. Ive been to other treatment centers such as… pathlight and my experience there was 10x more productive and professional. This place felt like a daycare and not like a place where i could go for help. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE
sandstone changed my life! i finally learned how to be sober and deal with my emotions in a healthier way. I appreciate all the employees there that made my experience so amazing
I am one that tries to look at the positive in every situation however I can not with this company. I was in the process of seeking help for my child in the Reston, Virginia area and was informed that one clinical site… has someone of diversity. I was referred to the Reston rehab center. After reviewing the bio of all the clinicians, I felt more comfortable with the therapist- Ms. Sejour. When requesting more information on her I was informed that she has not worked there and transferred to a different company over a year ago. Why is she still on the company page? To mislead patients in believing this center is diversity inclusive??? Misleading and unprofessional. Not a great standard for starting a therapeutic relationship with parents and teens.
