Royal WA Sumner – Sumner Detox and Rehab Services

The register shows Royal WA Sumner – Sumner providing detox and residential treatment. Supervised withdrawal comes first, with the greatest danger in the opening seventy-two hours. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Royal WA Sumner – Sumner Address, Location and Contact Information

You will find this provider at 1723 Bonney Avenue, Sumner, Washington, 98390. Sumner sits in Pierce County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.

A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Admissions lines are frequently busiest early in the week, which is worth knowing if the first attempt fails.

Honestly I was nervous just to do detox because I thought I'd be locked down in a room but they have games and activities like tai chi, yoga, going to the gym and the food is great! I eat 3 meals a day and get these… golden opportunities to have more life into me instead of me thinking to use. I was going to stay for 7 days but im doing 21! Then going to another 12 week program to better my living situation and start fresh with other people that you spend time with!

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE SPOKANE LOCATION... for some reason I can't access the comments on that one. Anyway it was great. No matter what my opinions are about some of the staff, they work their asses off. Place was… cleaned several times a day. Groups were great. Food was great although one of the chefs was better than the other. Private room. Attentive to all my needs. They provide meds to help with withdrawal symptoms. Nurses on duty 24/7. If you are a smoker/vaper there are smoke breaks every hour in the daytime. Counselors were great. The best an experience like that can be from start to finish. I dont recommend anyone get into a rehab situation, but if you do this place is great. THIS REVIEW WAS FOR THE SPOKANE LOCATION!

Loved staying here. As far as treatment centers go this is the best I've heard of they have tons of amenities to make ur stay easier. The food is delicious, with snacks available all the time, ice cream, nachos, u name… it. The rooms are nice with very comfortable beds and tvs in ur room with streaming services to many popular apps including YouTube Paramount+ &Disney. Hard to ask for much more than that and all the staff were great and have been in our shoes. You also get opportunities to go on multiple outings every week including gym, meetings, native sweat lodge and other activities. Compared to my first treatment center it's a 5 star resort, only negative thing i could say was I wish they would allow visitors while ur there but I was only here for 14 days instead of the 28 i thought I was coming for.

Terrible place. Insane amount of discrimination from staff. Paperwork is misspelled and disorganized. Staff is completely untrained in substance abuse. They can’t even spell the substances on paper. Staff has an… insanely low literacy rate. Insanely low reading comprehension. Your friends and family are not properly monitored for safety. Staff are constantly missing check ups and notes and just throw whatever half assed observation they can into the system. Insane amounts of ligature risk for suicidal patients. Predatory practices of getting you to sign into the facility while you’re strung out on substances and alcohol and they’re aware of it and actively talk to each other about how you’re not paying attention to anything you’re signing. Which is illegal and it’s in training specifically not to target people like that. They do it anyways. Incapable of accommodating disability. They spend your money on items like massage chairs instead of removing the mold growing on the walls and in the ac. The rooms smell like trichoderma fungus. I don’t know if anyone willingly comes here.

This place gives you the run around. Do not recommend. I was told to bring a family member in tonight - so I called to confirm they were on the way. They tried to say there were no beds. So I reminded them of the… previous conversation only an hour prior. The front desk reluctantly let us come. We get there, they refuse to accept the patient. They want her medically evaluated first. We do that. Then they say can come. We start heading that way (over an hour). They call me again and say nevermind, the patient cannot come. No reason. Just denied. We reminded them the patient was medically evaluated to ensure she was healthy enough to attend rehab and offered for them to speak to the doctor. Didn’t matter. Highly unprofessional and disorganized. Terrible communication . Discriminatory practices (and yes, I’ve already confirmed this with a lawyer). Zero stars.

Absolutely horrible institution if you want to be back in 3 months this is the rehab for you ! You'll never see a counselor nor will you get any type of humanity after dinner. Please , if you need help, strongly… consider somewhere different. Rampant with sexual harassment and drugs.

First of Thanks Royal Life Family, Yakama Nation (Fast Track), Faculty Members, staff and Clients for EVERYTHING. The curriculum was outstanding. I was able to face my fear of "Letting Go" and "Grief and Loss" with the… help of the Sweat Lodge, Sound Therapy, Sharing my Story/Testimony, and doing a "Letter burning ceremony!" I pretty much ran from Crying for 6+ years...and that's what I was able to do here was release so much by being VULNERABLE! I got comfortable in the UNCOMFORTABLE feelings that haven't felt. My therapist HELPED great deal on my journey. I know it might sound cliche by saying "Trust The Process" but I did and their process helped me in so many ways. I'm not saying I'm Fixed, but I was able to start HEALING by getting to the root of my usage with the help of this Center. I loved everything about this place. In order for anything to WORK is by being Honest, not with anybody but YOURSELF. I wasn't trying to make friends cuz I was there for myself but I was blessed to make and meet some really good hearted FRIENDS. I was greeted by others soon as I walked in. Nothing but good vibes there. I'm 2 spirited and I didn't feel any different from anyone. I did feel loved and seen for being myself and was able to help others by just that..being myself. There were TVs in every room, and wasn't forced to go to group until I was ready. They are patient with their guest, unlike other treatment centers I was at in the past. I do recommend opening up and sharing when ever possible. If you're scared, you're CHANGING and in a good way. Lean into whatever feelings that you've avoiding and surrender to it and watch what happens. My path was already laid out for me, all I had to do was TRUST that every step forward was MENT to be...and even in the 12 week program after treatment just confirms that I'm on the frequency I was MENT to be on. I know my spiritual journey is just starting, but Im brave enough now to say that this works. Please please please give yourself some credit for walking through those doors, give yourself grace for walking through fire...cuz you can make it out alive from your suffering. Take the help that they generously give. If and WHEN you're ready to get out of that hole you put yourself in...give this place a chance. I'm grateful for my tribe helping me when I asked right then and there. Other drug assessment places made me wait anywhere from 2 weeks to a month to get into treatmet, my tribe (Shout out to Yakama Nation) saved me the same day I called. I needed help and wanted help when I was ready and GOT IT. Based on Native American traditions and spirituality....I found HOME here. Which is something I lost some years back. At the Wellbriety (The Red Road) meetings I was greeted with "Welcome Home!" And instantly knew I made the RIGHT CHOICE. I was helped every step of the way back onto the red road and it's something I needed...HELP. Not something I could have done on my own (which I thought I could do). Everyones story/struggle is different but the people telling theirs is the same...we all want to heal from what was taking from US....LIFE! You are loved and needed here on this earth. You are worthy of good things. You can do it, the world works in mysterious ways and can bless you with things when asked properly. I believe everyone has a 100% chance of making it. Just get VULNERABLE! Healing comes in sharing YOUR story whenever possible. Who knows who YOU might help in the process of healing YOURSELF. Thanks Royal! Sorry for such a short review....I don't have much to say! LoL (hopefully you smiled or laughed just now) that's a huge part in recovery and good medicine for the spirit and soul...LAUGHTER. love you all. Take care, cuz I CARE! Blue Moon aka Randy G. Yakama Nation, 509 (Ps: still in search of a WHIP MAN........or...the thing that some other addicts call it....um....what's the name...I think it's called a sponsor or something like that) Lol

This place saved my life. The staff were super accommodating and attentive to my needs. As a patient, I understood that they are always busy helping everyone all at once, so the key is to be patient with them as well,… because they are trying to save everyone there all at once. This was not my first time in treatment. It is the best one I have ever been to, and I finally left with real hope of success. They are the best one out there by a long shot. I will always recommend them to anyone seeking care.

I am one of the fortunate/ miracle's that was given a second chance and opportunity to come threw the royal life treatment center I was blessed with another awesome stay at the program. Met more heart filled friends… that I hold dear to my heart. Got to get back in touch with my spirituality, worked on my mental health, got my physical strength and balancing my emotions. Learning about myself that I wasn't willing to except before and more learnable then ever before. Take these tools and apply them to my day to day when I go back home to Montana and I can say, I see my self being very successful in a life of recovery. The journey isn't no where near being done when I leave. Thank you royal staff for supporting me threw the start of this journey.
