The community services program is an absolute joke. My worker, LARA, actually suggested I use AI to fill out my social security re-evaluation forms…. Also the program is very short term but she’s leaving on vacation for… an entire month??? And decided to tell me at the last minute despite this vacation supposedly being in the works for a “long time.” Then to top it all off whenever I get upset during our meetings she acts defensive and terrified… like hello you’re working with the mentally ill… it’s not all rainbows and sunshine. I could go on and on and on about how awful she is. But I’ll just say this: she purposely called me today at 8am despite knowing that I cannot function this early in the morning. Now I’m unable to go back to sleep because I’m all worked up at her audacity. She just wants to solidify that I’m no longer answering her calls so she can close my case and go on her ridiculous month long vacation. Guess what… you got what you wanted. I am leaving your dumb case. You should seriously find another profession because you are completely unqualified to work with mentally ill people.
They failed kids who need help. Kids are there for help but they don’t have ability to help as they should. Just kids expressing themselves honestly as a figure of speech, they, as mental health professionals, freak out… called police on a minor and discharge them from that. Instead of working on them like they should, scaring them even more. They have no understanding of working with teens who are struggling at all. Teens are hard but this place makes their lives harder. This place is a joke.
Prescribed me a medication with no education or labs drawn. I am in nursing school now and learning things about this medication that would have led me to not consent, especially without having baseline labs. I would… never recommend this place.
I drove to Lowell and filled out about 25! Paper forms. They sent me the forms in the mail again 2 weeks later stating 2 forms were enclosed, yet only one form was. Haha beyond disorganized in the office except for… billing. Some therapists here were excellent for years but have since recently retired.
To start off, I was supposed to have my school work and days exempt, yet this place never sent my documentation, and never calls back resulting in me likely having to repeat a class. The program isn’t good either… everyone there is abnormal and when I tried to catch up on my schoolwork there I had my laptop taken and was not allowed to do work. Sometimes my time here would consist of sitting in a silent room for 15 minutes at a time with nothing but my own thoughts. This place is pathetic and I probably left worse than I came in i wouldn’t recommended her to anyone unless your a little kid and your gender is anything but a boy or girl
Counselor asks inappropriate questions that are ungodly and unprofessional.
I have been with Arbor awhile now and I find this office has done a solid job. The staff is responsive, the doctors are professional and straight forward, and the only downside I've had is the location.
im currently signed up for the one in lowell, today was my first day so the jury is still out, stay tuned people cause this could get ugly although my counselor seems like she knows what she is doing!
I have been recieving care here for a couple years now, but they recently closed my case because I was the one to not get the call or the notification if it were to be telehealth or in person so they decided to close my… case right as I ran out of my medication. I did have a therapist there that was Amazing, I miss her sm, but she left the practice of her own volition. But yeah now I understand why people give this place such bad reviews. -_-
The only good thing I could say is that Jennelle the therapist I had with them was great but everything else was horrible. Once Dr Hill retired which I met him very shortly and they took that new Dr called Chuck. All I… needed was a simple signature from him and that took months literally from like August to when I finally spoke to him on January because his own team told me that's the process but when I spoke to him and started freaking out which was obviously understandable but he started pointing fingers elsewhere and telling me that he's not my secretary instead of using his supposed skills to make the whole situation better wow I go to a place for help but he doesn't even have the lowest level of patience to deal with anything so go figure how they get licensed but anyways after all this useless Doctor kept talking down to me, I was amazed at my self that I did not loose it but just hung up on the him to then get a call from the place telling me that they had been calling me for a while to go and pick up the paper all lies because just to speak to the front desk woman with white hair you get all kinds of push back and attitudes from her but imo if they stopped hating the patients for being sick and treated them like their own things would be different I would have never imagined calling a place for help and then having to deal with miserable workers that actually hate working in the field they are in just horrible.
I have not received care from this facility, but I almost did. My review is covering my interaction with the office staff. I had a therapist named Diana from Ferrera's Counseling in the past that was not a good fit for… me. When I politely told her I would like a new therapist she went rogue. My impression is that she bypassed the front desk staff in charge of placing me with a new therapist and even her own boss/my previous therapist just to refer me out to Arbour counseling's php program. Diana had told me the referral was for my usual once-a-week therapy, but she lied. Eventually I got a call from Arbour about a week after, and I was pleasantly surprised because getting mental health care is a hard and long process with all the wait lists etc. The person on the phone said there was a billing issue (I confirmed with my ins company though that there shouldn't have been one) and they were calling to confirm my payment method and that I was going for Partial Hospitalization. I was confused. Upon further discussion the employee stated they did find it odd that I was referred for the program as my notes did not make it seem like I was in or recently out of a crisis. I asked if there was a mix up or misunderstanding, but they elaborated saying the note specifically said "m-f 5 hrs a day" and was signed off by Diana, but not her boss. I had reached out to my previous therapist/ the boss/owner of Ferrera's about this issue, but got no response. There may be no reason to be suspicious of php programs, and it was cool to learn they exist in case I ever needed one, but due to how things unfolded I couldn't help but feel wary of the whole situation. To this day I have no idea what I possibly may have dodged if it weren't for the mystery Arbour employee that was simply doing their job and paying attention. This was an event that happened last summer (2022).
They don't care cause of the fact that I called today because no one is answering my pharmacy calls and the person who answers the phone didn't give me a chance to explain what I needed for my insurance to cover one of… my meds and now I'm gonna have to suffer with withdrawals from not having my meds.
Anne the secretary doesn't know how to read her paperwork and doesn't know how to not hang up on you mid sentence. Dr. "Chuck" never calls on time for appointments. Everyone I've talked to in that place has an attitude… problem. Please choose elsewher
I'm a little shocked about the amount of bad reviews. I've had such a wonderful experience. My councilor is so amazing and kind. She has worked with me and my crazy schedule and I really appreciate her patience.
Extremely negligent care
I had one lovely therapist named Holly for a while but then she left because she wasn’t getting paid enough. After she left they replaced her with someone else who I didn’t vibe with at all and didn’t understand my… anxiety and depression. She left after 3 weeks and after she left they didn’t give me anyone else to see. So now I’m left with no therapist at a bad spot in my life. When I came here to see someone for meds I had a really nice psychiatrist for a while but he also left. He was replaced with a really rude person named Dr. Hill. He took me off of the meds that’s worked for me because he didn’t approved of them and put on my record that I’m addicted to Benzos when I got upset. I stopped seeing him and saw the other psychiatrist there but she didn’t understand my depression and anxiety either and would prescribe me expensive meds that never worked. I just gave up from there on. Now I’m seeking counseling and psychiatric services elsewhere. They also always lost records saying that I paid my copay and would try to make me pay it again when I had recipes to show I paid for them. Very unprofessional overall.
Rick Gallagher is a great counselor and has helped me with my son. Thanks Rick.
I called and spoke to a man in intake and after TWO QUESTIONS, he must've been frustrated because he said "YOU KNOW WHAT?!" and HUNG UP ON ME!! Extremely unprofessional!! Crappy management, workers and all the rest.… Shouldn't be working there if you have no skills and don't care about anything but a paycheck!
My therapist Martina is clearly the best thing they have according to reviews. Not only that I'm a verified mental health patient and the receptionist told me that I have to wait three months to see a psychiatrist… despite the fact that I'm already on psychiatric medication and I am relying on my primary care to get mental health treatment. I called for an appointment and they waited two weeks to call me back to tell me that I needed to wait 30 days for a callback. Of course they waited the full 30 days to call me back and then set up an appointment for two weeks after that. They try to be organized but the amount of release forms says otherwise. I wouldn't call it a waste of tax dollars but I wouldn't be surprised if there yanking tax breaks left and right. I hope they don't let her go over this review. But I do hope more reputable behavioral therapy groups come forward to scoop her up from this messy place. They closed my case and are making me wait to reopen it. Never saw a psychiatrist and my PCM is about to stop my ADD meds because of it.
some one must do something about this place, is true they see who they want to see that's not right and the intake, very unprofesstional. Really something should be done I hope someone would do something if this concern… any one pls help to do something
this people help who ever they feel like it.. horrible customer service and the apparently manager is the worst I had ever seen.. actually (0) starts for you
