Worst detox and treatment place ever!! The staff is awful. They literally throw you out on the street after 5 days. Stay far away from this one.

This detox changed my life for the better in so many ways. The staff is professional and very caring. They made the whole experience less painful and treated every symptom I had until I was back on my feet. Definitely… would recommend this place to anyone seeking detox.

Their meds are good. I think the times to go out smoking should be different. The nurses were great to me.

This place is nice!! From the beds to the food this place is great place for anyone who wants to detox and feel the least stress..The nurses are nice and are always checking to make sure your withdrawal is monitored..… The staff is great and attentive when I needed anything..

Christine the nurse is absolutely the rudest person there no compassion at all. She’s on a power trip and will discharge you the second anything doesn’t go her way. Everyone else is amazing especially Josh very hard… worker and very kind and compassionate.

Got discharged less than 4 hours later after self admitting when I really need it. But I was told I had to leave and won't explain in any details of what I did do wrong. All they kept saying is I broke rules and… wouldn't elaborate on it. Now I am discharged in the middle of the night with no transportation and discharged shortly after they gave me like 7 different meds that makes me super drowsy and other side effects. I don't sleep for up to 7 days at a time naturally and I didn't sleep the day prior. I have a severe rare sleep disorder. Now I al scared and have to find a way home on 5% battery while literally I can collapse and crash. I hope it doesn't happen. I have been taken advantage that way too many time's

Absolute incompetence from the entire staff—I cannot stress this enough. They forgot my much-needed Suboxone in a separate lockbox (without telling me), then blamed me when it wasn’t with the rest of my meds as I left.… Now I’m expected to come back and get them. On top of that, they completely botched my new Suboxone prescription by ordering the wrong one, delaying it an extra two days. Beyond the nursing staff, the tech staff are lazy. The showers are filthy, the “soap” they provide is more like watered-down lotion, and they don’t allow you to bring your own. The overall process here—especially the lack of communication regarding treatment plans and continuing care—is completely unacceptable. Do yourself a favor: choose Gateway instead and save yourself the grief.

Wonderful nurses who listen and help make the detox experience as comfortable as possible. Shout out to Nurses Matt and Adam. Compassionate and professional. The food was very carb heavy and all fast food but lots of… snacks available 24/7. The facility was kept clean and the bed comfortable. Thank you for great care.

My father had a relapse and needed immediate assistance, and I cannot stress enough how grateful I… am for the staff's professionalism and compassion at Abria. They were understanding and supportive towards me, a concerned family member, and they showed remarkable care for my father, who was really struggling. Josh, the admissions coordinator, was outstanding—he provided unwavering support and kindness. He genuinely grasped our situation and was accommodating with scheduling, enabling my fiancé and me to address behavioral issues during our journey without the extra pressure of being punctual. Upon our arrival, Josh and the nurse welcomed us warmly, making us feel accepted right from the beginning. The nursing staff was extraordinary, showing no judgment towards my father's challenges, which significantly alleviated our concerns. Having a detox program like Abria, staffed with such compassionate and professional individuals and with few obstacles for admission, is incredibly refreshing. It's disheartening to have had to depend on places like 1800 Chicago and Ramsey County detox, where I always worried about my dad’s safety just as much as I did when he was homeless. If you're in a similar predicament or know someone who is, please—I cannot emphasize this enough—CALL ABRIA DETOX FIRST! The other detox facilities in the area are often poorly maintained, situated in neighborhoods where drugs are easily accessible right outside their doors, and the staff is often burned out. Abria honestly sets the bar for detox service expectations !

The staff were super pleasant and helpful which was huge because I don't think my friend would have agreed to stay there otherwise!

Edit: Had to go from a 5 star rating to 2 stars. My fiancée unfortunately relapsed and went back to Abria. All has been fine, unfortunately they won't let her out for Christmas, so this will be our first Christmas away… from each other. I have been trying to call her and wish her a Merry Christmas, but every time I call, whoever answers, hangs up on me every time and then they refuse to answer the phone. I'm pretty sure they know my number at this point. I can't even call my fiancée to wish her a Merry Christmas or a happy birthday because her birthday is the day after Christmas. I'm really disappointed and annoyed with the people who answer the phone. It's like they're deliberately ignoring me now. - - I want to thank Abria for helping my fiancée with detox. As of today Sunday, December 8th, 2024, she has officially been three weeks sober. It doesn't seem like long, but for anyone struggling with addiction, that's a huge accomplishment. Abria took such good care of her. She was able to call me, they monitored her and gave her medications to help with her withdrawals, and since being released, she hasn't relapsed. She's also made some friends from Abria. Thank you Abria for saving her life.
