About Life Development Resources – Lakeville

7580 160th Street West in Lakeville puts Life Development Resources inside a short drive of Apple Valley, Burnsville and the towns around them. Anyone within about 7 miles can reach it without a major journey, which takes in Lakeville, Burnsville, Farmington and Empire. Lakeville sits in Dakota County, and the county’s own provision is limited enough that this site draws from a wide area.

Care offered spans intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Licensing sits with the Minnesota Department of Human Services, alongside federal SAMHSA registration. Medication-assisted treatment is part of the offer, the approach with the strongest evidence for opioid dependence. The facility treats addiction and mental health together. Video appointments are an option here. Trauma care sits alongside the rest of what is offered.

Only go here if you have no other option. They have no idea how to bill or accept payment if you can believe that. Then I had to listen to Chris Thole wheeze his way through explaining his facility couldn’t have… possibly screwed up. Seriously man, hit a treadmill once in awhile, your facility is beyond screwed up.

Everyone I've spoken to over the phone has been very unprofessional and hesitant as in they may not know what they're doing. With that being said, it makes me believe the turnover is high and/or they have inexperienced… staff. You cannot speak to anyone at the front desk after a certain time of day rather, you check in on an iPad. It is not a calm environment in a waiting room full of other patients who are talking loudly on their phones or to each other. I was told initially that I would be able to meet with a phycologist and that my visits were covered by insurance. That was partially true. Insurance covered part of my visits but I didn't see a phycologist. Now I'm left with a hefty debt to pay, the same issues I had going in with and a bad taste in my mouth from this company and staff. I'm in the same boat again but different lake to swim in. Now I know why they only have 3.5 stars, thank for nothing.

Been going here a couple year now, went through one of there programs and it actually made a difference. Been seeing the same therapist for a bit now and he keeps it real. Also as long as you communicate with them a… head of time you can cancel/ reschedule with no fee, unlike the place a friend of mine goes to.

I started at LDR a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with the compassion and kindness my therapist has shown me- she is knowledgeable and I am confident she is going to change my life.

Very difficult to reach. I have an initial appointment tomorrow, so I was concerned because I have received no paperwork or link to my online appointment. I have been calling for quite literally an hour and a half and… received nothing but "our admin team is unavailable right now, please leave a message." I would like to note that according to their own webpage, the clinic is operating until 5 PM, and according to google it's til 4, meaning at minimum I was calling starting an hour before closing time so it wasn't like I was calling in the last five minutes either. Even trying to set up the intake took an act of god, I ended up playing phone tag across two days trying to reach their intake coordinator. In all honesty I can't speak to quality of care because, as noted, I haven't even had my intake yet but if I'm already having this much trouble, I can't say I'm impressed. If this place hadn't been recommended to me by a therapist friend of mine, I don't even think I would've tried as hard as I had to to to even get this appointment set up.

Counselors very inflexible with clients work schedules. Very closed minded on topics they are paid to council on. You jump through their hoop or you are terminated and made to start program over. And once again they… will charge full price!

I've been with LDR since at least 2017. I've never worked with a clinic or therapist who cared this much, as long as you're willing to do the work, you'll get what you want out of therapy. The DBT program is life… changing and SO beneficial.

The worst. She was paid off by my ex. Lied under oath in court. Stay away from this monster.

I don't know who I just talked to on the phone but she was extremely rude and didn't seem to be enjoying her job. I had called to cancel an appointment and she completely cut me off without letting me finish what I was… looking for/explaining what I needed to do. I was planning to reschedule but due to how rude this employee is, I will not reschedule and will seek help elsewhere. After she told me very rudely if I didn't reschedule now that this therapist won't be available later if I call back. Fine by me, this therapist lost my business due to your office staff. Completely unprofessional.

Anyone that writes a bad review for this place is doing it because they were court ordered to be here and they are resentful. Their DBT program is a blessing from God. I have PTSD and they are changing my life. They are… warm, caring and highly skilled. If you have PTSD, you need this program. Reverend Jim founded this place and he has put his heart and soul into it. He has sat down with me more than once just to talk about how I am doing.
