About Bonsai Health – Omaha

Bonsai Health operates from 4224 South 50th Street in Omaha. The site sits in Douglas County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Bellevue, La Vista and Ralston. Nebraska draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Detox and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, an opioid treatment program and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Withdrawal management covers opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Stepping down into continuing care happens with the same team, so there is no second intake to sit through. What a first week looks like differs between providers more than the level of care name suggests.

Buprenorphine and methadone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Bonsai Health Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 4224 South 50th Street, Omaha, NE 68117, in Douglas County. The catchment reaches Bellevue, La Vista and Ralston. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

This is the place to go if you need help. They treat you like a person. You're not a number and you're not treated like cattle. The people there are the best there is. They will listen to you. Don't be scared and just… try it. It might save your life.

If I could give zero stars I would, but then it won’t allow me to give a review so I had to give it at least one . Methadone clinics are nothing but legal drug dealers. This particular clinic increases doses at the… addicts request and doesn’t follow up on if that person is still using other drugs. Extremely irresponsible & disturbing. But it’s all about The Almighty dollar$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Bonsai Health is the best MAT facility in Omaha by far. From the minute I walked in I felt like I was surrounded by people who actually care about you as a person. I didn't feel like I was treated like an addict but… like a patient with value. My doctor recommended Bonsai and I was greeted by Louis who knew my name already just from speaking to my doctor. It was a Monday that I came in and he spoke to my doctor Thursday the prior week. The staff here truly take the time to get to know you and they treat you with love and compassion. The intake process took less than 2 hours and I had my first dose the same day. I'm being treated for kratom/7oh dependency and I'm so glad that Bonsai is the place to do it. I could go on and on about how great this place is but the biggest thing to mention is that Bonsai treats you like a human being and better yet like a friend who actually cares about you. Another thing I'd like to mention is, unlike other MAT facilities they do not test for cannabis or care if you use it. So if you smoke weed and are afraid that you can't get opioid treatment because you do, don't be afraid to seek help here. They don't judge you for anything here. They don't discriminate on skin color, sexual orientation, religious views, or anything else. They have counselors available to talk to and they will listen to you and provide a comfortable safe environment for you to begin and continue your recovery. Last thing is they provide narcan free of charge and they provide a whole host of resources including information packets, free condoms, and even drug disposal kits. Thank God for Bonsai! I can't express enough how grateful I am to have found this place!

If there was 100 stars, I would give them 150 stars I went from Lincoln Nebraska to Omaha just to go to this place. They took me in just on a quick phone call because I couldn’t go to the Barrt Clinic in Lincoln… Nebraska, which I already wrote a review about the most awful place in the world if you go to bonsai health for your methadone or whatever opioid treatment you’re on you will feel like $1 million when you leave there, I cried happy tears. I was so relieved they were so helpful, caring and thoughtful, considerate nonjudgmental I can go on and on every good word in the vocabulary belongs to that place. I can’t thank them enough for making me feel human again. I went in there almost suicidal and left their feeling like 1 million bucks yes, I know that’s kind of extreme but when you don’t feel good and you’re having withdrawals and life seems like there’s no rainbows you will leave there seeing a rainbow. From the Dr from the front desk girl from the intake, people person who dispenses the Methadone I guess he’d be the pharmacist. They were outstanding just beautiful people thank you to bonsai health. I don’t hate Nebraska as much anymore. I just moved here from Arizona and they have made my life so much better and I can’t thank them enough. I will tell anybody and everybody in the world that needs help. Go to bonsai help it is no joke. They will help you and they will care for you. They will give you snacks, water coffee, whatever they’ll listen to you they care they really care. They love their job. They will help you. They are not judgmental and they are not disgusting greedy people like the ones at Barrt !!!!Im truly so thankful and embarrassed of how negative and rude I was being when I got there but by the time I left there I had a heart filled with gratitude and love again my anger and disgust was gone from the way Barrt treated me!! I didn’t realize how a little compassion and kindness could affect me!! I have thick skin but when your not well and someone doesn’t have compassion it hurts and the people at bonsai health would never let you leave their feeling anything less than an equal or a upstanding person. They just have no judgmental bone in their body. They’re wonderful people please believe me when I say this, they all deserve a huge raise in their paychecks, believe that and the people at Barrt need to get that place shut down and get rid of those people. Well, not down the Pharmacy guy or one of the young ladies in the back. I can’t remember her name, but probably the rest of them should just be working at the cigarette store. Thank you.

Love how they treat you like you're a actually person, not just an "addict". Intake is faster that other places. Waiting room is nice and open and coffee and water. Friendly staff, and they actually care about you. Luis… and Nick are the best at what they do. Glad for Bonsai and methadone treatment for my sobriety. They have worked with me through all my ups and downs and moving around. Keep doing what you're doing.

This is by far the BEST MAT Treatment facility in Omaha and its surrounding area. I speak from years of personal experience and have been to other clinics as well. The staff at Bonsai are absolutely amazing and truly… care for every patient who comes thru their doors. They greet you on a first name basis and are always trying to find ways to grow and improve their services, all the while making sure the patients' needs remain the number one priority. Whether it's the director, therapists, or pharmacist, the entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they've easily acquired a combined decade or two of methadone knowledge and treatment insights . So, no matter who you talk to, you're guaranteed to have all your questions answered thoroughly along with real care and concern. If you're hesitant for any reason to start this program, come in and chat with any one of the staff, and I assure you, this will be a decision you'll never regret!

I have really enjoyed and appreciated the amount of genuine support I've received through this treatment center. Everyone I've talked with on the staff really cares about each patients journey and let's them know when… things are going positively, but also when somrthing in your life needs worked on. If your in the Omaha-402 area, Bonsai Health is the #1 place to go, in search of recieving actual opioid treatment, as far as medical help goes, along with the mental side of addiction too with providing counseling too! Thank you Bonsai!

If I could give Bonsai Health 1 Million stars I would!! I’ve never been treated so well. For the first time, ever, I felt like I was being treated as a Human Being. I’ve needed pain management for my Crohn’s disease for… 12 years. Pain clinics were so horrible. I’ve been judged, ridiculed and gaslit by so many doctors, nurses, etc.. . So I was shocked to be welcomed with open arms. Thank you so much to the amazing staff who I would also give a million stars to!!

If you are seeking hope with your addiction, and you are seeking good, real help, this is the place to go for a medication assistant treatment. This clinic is a new clinic and there’s a reason that we should support it… so that way we can grow as a state as a city and get more options to better health support. We appreciate and love that people are seeking help addicts without judgement. They are for the clients. They are here to help you and they understand your needs. I highly highly recommend this clinic.
