Watch out for for these people they have people who sit on the lines who have been engaging and stalking and harassing towards me these people knew way too much about my personal circumstances and a certain factors I… was told on this line that a lot of people don't believe that I'm disabled and that I'm full of s*** and faking it I called and spoke to a woman named Sarah who was very intrusive non-trum-inform I asked to speak to supervisor she told me to call back at 11:00 and then she proceeded to try to talk to me as if she never behaved in such a way I'd explain her at this point that she was doing forms of psychological abuse and gaslighting which is highly frowned upon in this type of field I've had people say that they're going to do vulnerable adult reports and refuse to do so I've had people tell me and places that I was staying at that I was at risk of being assaulted and I needed to move and I was being set up so something's not right with this place
Practitioners in the SUD program failed to discern that my husband's alcoholism was secondary to an untreated mood disorder. Once he started treatment, he started wearing all-black, began cycling between explosive anger… and sleeping a lot, he's been sleeping on the floor apart from me for months (most bizarrely), and he now casually tells me he hates me besides a breakdown in communication over basic topics. I was on crutches when my husband's behavior radically changed. There is zero family systems theory used during treatment. Alluma turned my husband into an angry, dry drunk without teaching coping skills to function or heal the family together.
Even though it is clear I am at high risk for suicide. Instead the therapist allows the other individual to avoid accountability and withholds critical truths. Instead of focusing on addressing the underlying issues,… the family therapist pressures me to accept allegations they donot have direct knowledge of. Based solely on information provided by that individual. That individual has manipulated everything through out the entirety of the relationship. Which the Family Therapist had no prior knowledge of. The family therapist, having only a significantly small limited number of sessions and without full knowledge of our history, is not maintaining the impartiality necessary for effective therapy. I was the one who took the step to seek family therapy, while it took a long time - years to be clear- for the other individual to engage in the process. Despite knowing I am at high risk for suicide and struggling significantly, the therapist allows the other individual to avoid accountability and withholds critical truths. Instead of focusing on addressing the underlying issues, the therapist pressures me to accept allegations she does not have direct knowledge of—based on information provided by that individual. Throughout the sessions, the other person appears unaffected and often fakes emotions or concern, while I am left looking angry and upset—reactions stemming from the repeated twisting of my words and using my own words them against me. For their own moment to save face. For themself. Yet, the therapist seems more focused on protecting the individual responsible for the conflict. This approach compromises the professionalism expected in therapy and hinders any real progress toward healing and understanding. That relationship is not ever going to heal because of the individual purposely withheld and avoided sessions to strengthen their strategic manipulation for the next session they would make sure would be the final by me taking the steps to end all sessions in the future.
I enjoyed my Therapist, but the psychiatrist they gave me was horrendous. She didn't even know what my diagnosis was and made me explain it to her. I shouldnt have to teach the person perscribing my meds about the… disorder they are perscribing them for. Not to mention when trying to attend meetings so I could get my anti depressants refilled, she canceled 2 appointments within 2 hours of the meeting time. The front desk is also awful to contact and I'm pretty sure they hung up on me once. I've been skittish trying to find another provider, due to how horrible my experience with Alluma was. I do not recommend.
Great place for help trying to heal yourself!
Holy Hannah. First of all, therapists are exceptional. Secondly, I can always call their crisis line or my therapist, nurse and psychiatrist and get a person who doesn't drone "what's your name, birthdate, social… security number, address?" Like most clinics, medical departments, and crisis hotlines. Only listening and relating. Even to the dumb stuff. Friendly staff. Know you by name as you walk in the door. Thank you, Alluma.
Sometimes I say what I don't mean. Maybe it's about staff or social workers whoever. I have mental health. I don't mean what I say. People make mistakes. I know sometimes I may act like I don't care but deep inside I… feel worse then u do when I talk about you or anyone. People learn people overcome people struggle. Without all the help I received in crookston if it be my social worker or alluma or crisis I would of never been here. I would of never gotten help. I came so far in life. You guys say it's me no alluma helped me through it all. All I do to my workers it's just if I'm mad I let everyone know. Everyone makes mistakes. I hate that I made the mistake of saying bad about you guys Even my social worker. And Its ok if u never take me back I understand that people don't accept second chances all I know now is that I'm without anyone now cuz of what I said earlier. You tried helping me and all I did was push you away I don't deserve help anymore
The folks here at Alluma are literally the nicest, most caring, most understanding mental health professionals I've ever had the pleasure of seeing, and I've been seeing mental health professionals for the better part… of 30 years. I'd give their office 10 stars if I could.
No different then north western mental health. The staff was nice and everything but when I saw the psychologist Michaels he had no interest in helping. No interest I'm talking about my new problems and no interest in… helping me keep my job. Iv experience something at work I never have before and didn't want it to happen again but he did nothing but treat me like a pill seeker and didn't take anything seriously. I recommend Sanford. I promptly made an appointment with them after walking out of that circus called alluma aka north western mental health.
Should have been a -10!!!! Matt Keller and his clinical staff have that never allowed me to get crisis therapy, cancelled appts blamed my insurance and COVID thanks for wasting a month of my life to where if you would… have been honest from the beginning I could have been on the road to a happier life so Matt Keller Who said In our 1st eval “expect to much from others” pounding it in during the eval…after a brief 30 minute intake” I guess he was trying to tell me I would never get services! (After not getting services) I tried to get services thru here….I guess I should have expected to have had better services but have learned with Matt Keller never to expect anything in life but only to be discriminated due to being on Medicare due to disability….I guess if I was from another country imported or on unemployment or if another color my service would have happened weeks ago! Wouldn’t recommend this large now corporate government run establishment!
Great place to get the help you need.
When I first went to the Northwestern Mental Health Center my life was in distress and my life was in shambles... I was introduced to this great doctor by the name of Mike Anderson! I now believe if it wasn't for this… man my life would still be in shambles or worse non-existent at all. Thx Mike you are a true inspiration to those that have had the honor of meeting you.
One out of five people have a mental health issue in their lifetime. The NWMHC treats their clients with resecpt, kindness and empathy. And without Sigma.
