Wow. Truly amazing staff is all I can say. Words cannot express how much this facility changed my son's life. If you're looking for a great facility in Covington please go here.
THE DOCTOR,DR. HIGGINS RELEASE ME WITHOUT ALL OF MY MEDICINE THAT WAS WORKING FOR ME,AFTER I TOLD HIM THAT IT WAS WORKING. HE ONLY RELEASE ME WITH MY MOOD MEDICINE. NOT MY ANIEXTY MEDICINE NOR MY REST AID MEDICINE. THE… HOUSEKEEPER THAT IS THERE ARE RIDICULOUS!!!! MIDEW ALL ON THE SHOWER CURTAINS. MAJORITY OF THE NURSES ARE HATEFUL. EXCEPT 3 ONE IS WHO NAME IS JANE I CALL HER NURSE LOVELY. THE ONLY SOCIAL THAT CARES IS JENNIFER!!!! THE TECHNICIAN ARE SORRY!!!! I AM JUST SAYING I AM A RECOVERING MENTAL PATIENT THAT GOT TREATED RIDICULOUSLY!!! THEY EVEN HAVE MEDICINE ON MY PAPERWORK THAT I NEVER TOOK NOR DID I ASK FOR. MS. TRISH IS A GOOD GOOD REAL TECH!! I LOVE THE ONES WHO LOVES ME ❤️! ALSO THE 2 AFRICAN SPIRITUAL BEING STEPHON ALSO JOHN ARE GREAT TECHS,I FAIL TO MENTIONED THEM 2 GAVE ME PLENTY OF REASON TO GET UP,GREAT MALES AWESOME SPIRITS!!!!!
Upon release my son was missing a good bit of his clothes, namely a Comfrt hoodie and pants that cost like $175. A few other items were also missing totalling up to $250. While there we were told they would turn up and… if not they would be replaced or reimbursed and to call them in a few days. I've made several calls that weren't returned. Each time I'm told it will be handled. My son wants his clothes and I can't go drop nearly $200 on a sweat pants and hoodie that he received as a Christmas gift. I hope whatever staff member saw that it was Comfrt brand and liked the discontinued color enjoys it as my son no longer gets to.
They got my phone number mixed up with every patients family number, they rude, and they are lazy!! And I was never even a patient. They need help in that facility.
All of the staff were awesome.
Always helpful. Always communicate in a timely manner. Never just leave you waiting for a response
It is funny how they only answer positive reviews My daughter was there recently and her dentures and other personal items came up missing and they could care less.
This place is a nightmare. The doctors switched my 10 year old son’s medicine without my permission and abruptly stopped his Abilify instead of tapering him off. On top of this they gave him two additional medications.… All of this without talking to me. So when he comes home he’s actively withdrawing off the Abilify and is so sick. A 10 year old going through withdrawals because Anthony Pepeperone didn’t properly taper him off so he could gradually get off Abilify. Not to mention discharge was a disaster. I called for THREE DAYS due to getting in a car accident where our challenger was completely totaled. Let the staff know we needed to know discharge date in advance so I could make arrangements to get a ride to get my son. THREE DAYS and instead they waited til the day of discharge to let me know. The CEO rectified the discharge time however the medication was something we weren’t aware until we got home. Thanks for giving my child withdrawals. This place needs to be shut down. Yall made him more sick than when he went in. Not to mention Anthony was not concerned about my son hearing voices in his head or that he literally told the clinical staff he felt I was his girlfriend?? Two pretty concerning issues that he just looked over even though my son stated this was an issue for him. Instead he talked to Anthony’s assistant and was told he was weird. Ima pray for the staff in this place because it feels this place is just about money. They don’t care about the actual life and quality of life for their patients.
I\nHad a great experience that Covington behavioral similar.I just got home today and I feel so much better.I'm so glad I went.Everybody was nice. All of the staff.I really recommend this place
I went here for 7days a year ago and it was very good and nice in side nice staff I was in unit d. And they cared for us and let us watch movies and we all just got along with each other in there it felt like I had a… real family for that one time and now im up thinking about how are my friends doing that was in there and how is the staff. The staff were very nice, but especially ms Kia She let us have fun as long as we did the right thing and thought us things. Love u guys. From: Layla rue
I don’t typically leave negative reviews because I understand how much they can impact a business. I usually only post when I’ve had a positive experience. However, this situation has me here hoping I can get answers… even though I see they only respond to good reviews. My family member’s dentures went missing while under your care. When she first asked about them, she was told they would look for them but that she had come in with them. She later told me she stopped asking because the nurses seemed aggravated when she brought it up, and she didn’t want to be a bother. That’s when I got involved. I called multiple times and left messages but did not receive return calls. The day before discharge, I pushed harder for answers and felt like I was being given the runaround. I asked for some form of verification—anything that could clearly show whether she had them at intake or not—but nothing was provided. She has personally checked all of her belongings and bedding, and the dentures are not there. At this point, there has been no clear answer, no accountability, and no resolution. She was discharged and I’m sure I will not get a call back and we will get stuck with this unexpected cost of replacing something she did not lose. I have made every effort to handle this directly and give the facility the opportunity to make it right. Unfortunately, that has not happened. Dentures are not a small item—they are essential for comfort, health, and dignity. I hope this review encourages better communication, documentation, and accountability so this does not happen to someone else.
i came in at the worst spot in my life and came out at the best. the social workers talk to you a lot and pay attention to everything so they can get you the right treatment, and most of the staff were always helpful… and kind. the food was pretty meh but what do you expect. and if you really pay attention to the groups that you do throughout the day, some of them can really help you open up. just be honest and respect the staff and you’ll be good. also, if ms errolyn or ms trish is in your day shift, you’ll love them.
Honestly, this place wasn’t bad. The scenery inside was really pretty, everything was very clean, and it felt like an overall safe environment. The nurses were okay, the dayshift was pretty nice but the night shift was… questionable. Here are my suggestions/complaints- Not enough nurses! I wish I had someone to talk to whenever I needed without feeling guilty because they were busy. -More time outside the unit!! -More visitation days -More activities to do inside the unit. Other than that, the place was pretty cool and helpful :))
Well when I was three 3 weeks ago it rlly helped me alot and I rlly liked the groups and I miss ms. Yani alot but it helps alot can u plss tell ms. Yani that I miss her and she helped me alot
Was absolutely horrible in every way possible. Every nurse who works there doesn’t give a flying yk what about anything except finally becoming a “real” nurse. Everyone every single person who worked here was rude,… hostile, and treated the place as if it were a jail.
Covington Behavioral Health has helped many of my clients that I have referred there for inpatient and outpatient treatment. The team there communicated with me about the treatment my clients received. And I was able to… refer clients in the middle of the night who were in crisis. There high functioning psych unit allows young adults and people struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts to be in a therapeutic environment that is separate from the general psychiatric unit. I will be continuing to refer!
Covington Behavioral Health made me sicker than when I came. I was doing horribly and was sent there under the pretense that they would "Help me get back on my feet". I was held for 7 days and they only asked me about… my symptoms while I was drugged from the emergency room, and never followed up with me. This led them to give me medication that recently has been giving me extreme issues. The place was miserable and the food was horrible. The rooms are barren and the bathrooms are covered in mold. The staff are fine, but they can't really do much for you rather than be there and offer meds when you cry. They offer medicine as a "cure-all" when, in reality, it often made things worse for me. We were barely allowed outside, and when I was, there was a huge fence that blocked everything. The puzzles were missing pieces and there were maybe 6 books total, so it always felt like there was nothing to do, making me antsy and restless. I left this place with nightmares and fear. Please, I beg for everyone currently there, step it up and try harder. Listen to them and talk to them when they are upset. Care about them. They all will thank you.
I filed a medical board complaint, nursing board complaint, and social work board against three license holders for negligence and gaslighting. I would encourage others to do the same.
Best hospital I been to they really care about the patients
I would never post time in psych publicly but this good news must be shared. It's amazing to be able to go inpatient voluntarily and have peace of mind. Very safe there and the staff took me out of physical pain but did… not do the best for my mental anguish. Some mental health techs are there for the check only. Some were automatons and I called them out for being robots. I checked myself in and out. I would go back too, no issues with Covington at all.
I was in here for about 2 weeks. It was alright. Staff were rude and careless, but not all. So many activities to do, a large gym where you can play your own music which is therapeutic for me, art stuff, and outdoor… activities. kid in a wheelchair got the proper help, ect ect.. Overall not the best hospital, but a good one.
Wish I could give this zero stars. Absolutely terrible, don’t send your kids here. They constantly gaslight you and lie about what time it is. everyone in there is rude to you. If you get upset or cry the threaten to… give you a shot that knocks you out for two days straight, food is terrible, rules are bullshit, all the workers are high but spray perfume to hide the sent, IF YOU ARE A MINOR OR AN ADULT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CALL YOUR PARENTS OR GARDIAN NO MATTER IF IT IS CALLTIME OR NOT!!!! This place gave me more mental damage than what I came in there with.
this place does not help you , the staff are very rude and the social workers don’t help at all !!!!
I was back here in December 2023 after I overdosed and the techs were nice for the most part but the actual doctors and psychiatrists were ridiculous. I was JOKING to a doctor during meds and asking for something help… me sleep because I hadn’t slept in THREE WHOLE DAYS because I was having a manic episode (I have bipolar 1) and he starts snapping at me saying “oh well why didn’t you talk to the psychiatrist” and I told him that they didn’t talk to me and he basically said it’s not his problem and I should’ve talked to them. I DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHO MY DOCTOR WAS. Obviously I’m going to get worked up and as someone is MENTALLY UNWELL it sent me into a spiral and I told one of the techs I was scared to be in the room because I didn’t want to hurt myself and she completely understood because of past experiences I had there with that specific tech. So she goes to talk to the doctor and he starts lying saying “I just don’t want to be in my room because I’m throwing a fit because he wouldn’t give me drugs”. QUOTE DRUGS. SO OBVIOUSLY IM GONNA BE MAD. I started yelling at him because WHY ARE YOU LYING ON MY NAME LIKE THAT WHEN YOU KNOW I JUST NEEDED MEDICINE FOR SLEEP. I got put back on my Trazadone THAT NIGHT when the supervisor got called down she was very sweet btw. AND IN TOP OF ALLAT, I had been telling them to take these people off my contact list because they had NOTHING TO DO WITH ME LEGALLY and you know what they did instead? CALLED THEM AND GAVE THEM ALL MY INFORMATION. And you know what they people they called did? CALLED MY MOM AND STARTED TALKING ABOUT MY PERSONAL INFORMATION AND BASICALLY MOCKING ME. I DIGRESS.
Mom works here. Four stars because she’s iconic. If I heard she was on her phone sometimes, I wouldn’t gaf.
I have tried to be patient with the executive team at this facility concerning the overall care a loved one is receiving there. But I definitely wouldn't recommend this location for youth. I thought the reviews were… maybe a little biased at first. But it's bad.
I was not treated like a human by the aggressive staff
