Groups helps me daily an helps keep me sober. My counselor is a huge part of my recovery.
It's obvious that their main priority is profit and not recovery.
Groups has been great from the start for me. And not just with my meds. They are truly here for you in anyway possible. I have different staff members contact often to check and make sure I don't need anything. I like… the environment and mindset it puts me when I'm doing a group. I know that we are all in the same boat. That makes it real easy to say anything. I'm truly comfortable and I know that I'm not being judged. I love groups. I just did 5/1/2 years straight incarcerated. And groups has made it super simple and stress free. Everything has been a smooth transition.
I have been with Groups as long as I remember them opening in Columbus. I did like meetings in person but every week is sometimes hard even with virtual but we make it happen. I love the group I am in and we all get… along well and talk well together. We care about each other. I would recommend to anyone
When I came to groups I needed help with my addiction. After 4 years sober and chemical free I began having physical pain that was severe enough to go see a specialist. It was creating stress for me at work, my personal… life, and my family. In the mean time I started buying and self- medicating with Suboxone, off the street, thinking it would safely help with the pain, and became dependent. Knowing I'm an addict and previously seeking out pills, heroine, and meth, I knew I needed help before I was going down that road again. I contacted groups explained my situation and they were very understanding, compassionate, and informative. I'm now 6 years and one month clean, receive injections to help with my back pain, and meet with a wonderful group of people every week between the staff and other clients. Nice to know I'm not the only one with addiction issues. Recovery will always be with me, according to the medical staff, and with Groups I have a better understanding of it. They've built up my self esteem to help me overcome life's stressful issues. I used to isolate and now I run to those who have given me hope, a purpose, and a new reason to mend family relations.
I have been woth Groups for 6 years now. It started out great. I've had some good Counselors that really understand the struggle, and I've had some bad ones that think theyvare better than everyone else. I have to thank… my most recent counselor to pushing me to go places I never would in life, however, like everything else, things are continuously changing and the quality of customer service has went downhill with the most recent staff. Groups used to be about helping people, now, it has went down hill.
Im a64 yr old male That had always had a drug addiction. That's starting at the age of about 10 it was Lsd , marijuana, the age of about 16 or17 was qualudes and whisky And then i I got into the military. It was… cocaine. When I got out of my military. It was meth. I stayed on meth for about 25 years. Then i got into a truck wreck and I had 7 surgeries back-to-back. That led to a lot of pain medication. Long story short. It's groups that saved my life i really enjoy going to my meetings. I love all the kids in the group with me Danielle and Dee, my doctor . I'm so thankful for everyone that has been in my recovery ,I cannot say enough about them. Love you all. Randy Medaris
Groups is such a great and trustworthy place to go to for help with sobriety! I have never experienced a more accepting group of people dedicated to helping you along with your recovery. The virtual aspect of it is so… nice! The app is so easy to navigate and I love not having to feel like i have to remember to leave myself enough time to get ready and rush off for a crucial weekly appointment that I’ve then gotta drive for ten mins to every week. Instead, I can wake up ten minutes before group is suppose to start if I want to get myself together and then log in from the comfort of my own bed! When I heard we had to do a UA each week and send the results through the app I thought maybe it could get complicated but it’s very straight forward and if you happen to have a rough week or are in a rough patch and something pops up on the screening that shouldn’t be there. You NEVER have to be worried that your going to get called out in front of everyone during group. One of my absolute favorite things I want to stress is there is never any judgment! If you call these people for help, they help you! They realize that mistake during recovery are part of the process and do their pest to help you move foreward with whatever resources you need to help. And they help make many options and many resources available to you in most areas I can think of. I can safely say they go above and beyond. Before I found Groups I had already begun my recovery journey. I just needed somewhere I could keep getting medicine from after moving across the counrty. I wasn’t super stoked about having to show up weekly in these virtual meetings or having to submit weekly UDSs because I felt I was past all that but now it’s just before part of my schedule. Every week, same day, same time and at the risk of sounding corny, I actually really really look forward to logging in and catching up with my little Group family. Everyone is so accepting and helps the others with advise or support and you really begin to click with each other, fairly quickly and truly come to care for one another. And I’ve always felt safe and assured that what happened in Group, stays in Group. Haha some people joke that it’s like Fight Club. Our Operations Coordinator and managing superhero Tammy is such a rockstars at her two million jobs she’s in charge of daily and is never too busy to hear what you have to say. My group counselor Katrina A is like a breath of fresh air! Definitely one of the kindest counselor I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. It seems like everyone working at Groups has been in recovery themselves or has some experience with substance abuse and I have always been treated with the same care, respect and understanding as anyone could hope for from people who actually care about helping other people get their lives together after drugs. There is so much more I could say (I was raving about Groups for weeks and weeks to everyone I knew, about the amazing program and people there. until everyone had already heard what I was gonna say or there was just no one new for me to hype about em to hahah) If you’re looking for help with addiction and recovery I recommend Groups Recover Together with all my heart! Good luck with your recovery journey!
I have been a groups member for a few yrs now and I love the group I'm in the counselor is amazing and it gives me some structure and accountability which is huge when ur in recovery...there is not withdraw to go threw… which is why most addicts stay in active addiction 5 stars all the way around
I love groups recovery. I've learned so many things from the program. It was so hard in the beginning I was on opiates for over 25 year's, I was a cross addict i was addicted to alcohol 4 years ago, methamphetamine 15… year's ago, also every opioid known except the one I knew would have gotten me and probably killed me and that was heroin. Thank God I never tried heroin. I've been off opiates that I abused daily for 25 years 15 a day mostly every day and functioning many years, til my early 40s I knew I couldn't do it so I started drinking alot, but I still took pain pills, then was introduced to the methadone clinic to help me to come off the opiates. The methadone was the hardest drug for me to stop. I would stop going to the clinic, but I couldn't handle the withdrawal and take care of myself or my precious grandchild who needed me so I called groups last year in February and here I am telling you that I was bad, was in bed for 3 months trying to fight it myself, I am so grateful for them, for all the staff but especially for getting the best counselor Sarah. She is amazing! She's taught me how to be my own person, to be accountable, to stop blaming other's, to learn how to let go of demons and move ahead! I'm in my first year of college for human services so I can help other's who want help and if you want it bad enough you can do anything you want to do! I'm happy with who I am today, I no longer hate the woman that looks back at me in the mirror. I use to hate mirror's. I buy antique mirrors now, paint them and make them glow again, I go to the gym a place where I wouldn't have went if you paid me to go! Life is precious and beautiful, it also starts to fly by when your my age, I feel 29 and I'm happy, that's all I have. Thank You for taking time out to read my post. I'm here for anyone who needs someone to talk too! I'm a great listener.
Don't even think this company is a good option. I am looking at a year in jail thanks to therapist danielle Mathis of Columbus indiana office.Telling me to resubmit UDS cups that were damaged by heat. they were ok. Then… tells my probation officer they appear tampered. With . Yeti was listed as compliant and didn't tell me to get new ones. So now my PO thinks they were altered. When had she told me the first time to come in to do one or even get new ones I'd be happy to. No she blatenly lied telling me they were fine. To resubmit another. Called her supervisor only to be told I wouldn't find her at the office and the message would be given to lacey Miller she would return my call. A week later still haven't heard from anyone. Tried calling corporate as well and again no response. This is the 2nd place Imade a review on. Next complaint is going to Indiana state licencing board upon looking at their website formal complaint needs filed with Indiana's attorney general. They will be able to subpeona phone records for text messages of her admitting her reckless unethical actions
Groups has helped me so much on my road to recovery.
so convenient and you don't have to jump thru hoops they understand and they wanna help.
I would recommend Groups to my friends and family. They have been very supportive and helped me in many ways with other things other than addiction. I definitely give them a 10 glad to have Groups.
My close friend has been going there for years, & she has nothing but positive things to say about their organization! They hv greatly improved the quality of her life.
Groups has really made me want to tackle my addiction and has helped me stay off of the drugs. Since attending groups I have become a better person socially and I look forward to even better than that
I would recommend this program to anyone that is ready to change their life, I have been sober over 4 years now and they helped me the minuate i walked in there for help and did not and have never once judged me over my… addiction and only God knows where I would be today without groups' help and I'm very proud to admit that I've been sober with their help.... I would definitely recommend going here if you want to change your life ❤
I'd say it's the best place I've ever been to. Counseling and meetings and medication is unremarkable. Love groups they are so nice and respectful and understanding so it's a 10 out of 10 for me
Let me just start off by saying, I was put on pain pills when I was 16 due to an injury to my back. For the longest part of my life they were a part of my life. Then the doctors rules changed and I was taken off of them… so I turned to the streets to get them. I did just that for some years and it got old real fast. Chasing the pills daily was the biggest part of my day and that's a shame. I didn't feel that way at the time but looking back I can tell you I'm so glad I was able to call groups and within 24 hours they had a prescription ready for me. I'll tell you now that this program and the staff saved my life. Groups and the medicine has really been a life saver. I don't have to worry about being sick or chasing a pain pill every day. I'm so thankful for the program and staff for everything that has been done for me and helping me be the better person and live the better life. Thank you all. I recommend this place to every one facing the same problems I faced. If I could I'd give it 10 stars. Edit:update.. to my counselor Morgan, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and guidance throughout my journey of recovery. Your dedication to helping me navigate through the challenges of addiction has been nothing short of remarkable. Your compassionate and non-judgmental approach has made me feel safe and understood, allowing me to open up and confront the root causes of my struggles. I am truly grateful for the insights you have provided and the coping mechanisms you have taught me. Thanks to your help, I am now on the path towards a brighter and healthier future. Your impact on my life is immeasurable, and I will always cherish the lessons you've taught me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there every step of the way. With heartfelt thanks, Charles Grissom
Danielle and jo are very helpful and amazing. They do their best to help you be successful in your recovery. Just reach out and they will be there for you.
I came to Groups not thinking it would make a difference. But here I am working the program and it's the best thing I could have done. Everyone is so understanding and eager to help you when you need it. Best experience… I've ever had with a recovery program.
So when I first started groups I came in thinking I'm hopeless and I need to be on medication for the rest of my life. After going through the program I can honestly say for the first time I want to taper down and… that's all from the help of groups! They have been wonderful to me, I have a group of people in my corner but not just the staff, the other recovering addicts too. Everyone in groups is kind and helps me in some way, I really appreciate their support in my recovery!
