About Icarus Behavioral Health – Albuquerque

Icarus Behavioral Health operates from 8601 Golf Course Road NW in Albuquerque. The site sits in Bernalillo County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Corrales, Edith Enclave and Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Distance matters here, and the nearest option is not always the one that fits.

Residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Icarus Behavioral Health

Residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care run to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone.

Residential runs both short and long term, so the question at intake is which length the assessment points toward. Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

Icarus Behavioral Health Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 8601 Golf Course Road NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114, in Bernalillo County. The catchment reaches Corrales, Edith Enclave and Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Opening hours shift with staffing, and an evening slot one month may not exist the next. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

Honestly when I first arrived I was a bit skeptical of Icarus as a whole and wondered if I had made the right decision to come here. However I have learned incredible and invaluable things from both staff and other… clients. While at times things have challenged me, I have been blessed with wonderful opportunities to practice for real life experiences. I am grateful for this experience overall!!! Thank you for blessing me

Icarus is a good program. The staff are mnowledgable, patient, and truly care about your recovery. The therapist are awesome Roxanne, Brenda, Don, and Arron are all very attentive and helpful and understand addiction… very well. The care coordinators are also super cool and are just as attentive to the clients all of them are former addicts and some have gone through the program themselves. The directors Jamie, and Monty do a lot for the clients and spend much of their free time attending to clients needs. They're responsive and truly care about the clients. I truly appreciate icarus as a whole I've learned a lot about myself and my addiction and believe they set me up with solid tools and the ability to make a plan for my future in recovery. Thank you Icarus.

This place has given me the second chance, the opportunity, and the help I’ve needed for years. Definitely has saved me and changed me into the man I’ve always wanted to make out of myself. Thank you to everyone that… has been apart of my journey!

Melanie seems ok didn’t like how I was interrupted before I could finish saying that my loved one takes Methadone. I understand there’s a lot of redundant questions but something to keep in mind is that you work in a… facility where people have mental disorders and a lot of health And mental concerns It’s imperative to show patients cooperative being respectful as well as being resourceful if you’re not happy in your position and don’t love what you do then you really should take a step back and not work in a facility where you have to deal with so many people from day-to-day. She definitely didn’t have a very positive attitude and that’s definitely gonna be reflection of what kind of experience and carrier going to get with a facility like this. It’s such a shame because we are in an epidemic of opiate use and a lot of people rely on facilities like this to be resourceful, as well as respectful. Very unprofessional!!

Icarus Recovery Center has been nothing but supportive, welcoming, and nurturing from the very beginning. I did the 30-day residential treatment program as a mental health patient and the process healed me in ways I did… not know were possible. I recommend this facility to anyone who is struggling with addiction or mental health, for Icarus as not just a recovery center, it is a healthy haven that aims to help its patients and integrates them into a family-esque lifestyle.

Your loved one won’t learn valuable coping skills, there is no 12 Step program, or parenting classes for those of who didn’t feed their children dinner for four nights, because they were on a bender, or drink, and drive… with their kids in the car, BUT they will learn how to play spades.

This place changed my life. The residential program is 30 days long with meals cooked for you by a chef. The house you stay in is basically a mansion. Most of the day you spend in therapy where you learn the cause of… your addiction, which is where the real work begins. With Rigorous honesty l, and the things I learned at Icarus, I know I can stay sober forever, one day at a time. Thank you Icarus for being my biggest advocate in becoming sober.

This is a blessing to be here.

This is the foundation I was able to find stability in, there is nowhere like Icarus. Jaime is a beacon of light to any and all whom encounter her. Monte, is a person that you can count on even if you don’t see it. He’s… a silent power of support. The staff, Cody, Charles, Anthony, Jake, Kristen, Aaron, Aaron, Veronica, Don, Jenny, they are all at a helping whim. They mean well by the clients, not only to just be there. Admissions also helps a great Deal. Melanie was in charge of my intake, and from start date to graduation I knew she’d be there if I ever needed. Life brings strife and Icarus helped me find my wings again.
