Good experience!
Very good experience!
Stay away from that hospital at all cost. Blames low staff for there issue thats not there issue. Its alot more. Its a code of ethics and race issue. If badge 339 is there walk out. He picks and chooses who has to walk… through the metal detector . 12 people Counted in a two hour period that didn't need to but a 7 year old has to but the 37 year old doesn’t have to. Got there at 4:04and left at 6:30 because they wouldn't have her back till 9 got told a head injury wasn't a priority but a person with a cough got more attention. The numbed the head wound but the numbing medicine is only good for 1-3 hours but they were going to glue it. But they didn’t do anything concussion protocol. So glade i left because we went to a different hospital at we were in and out and treated in less then 1hour and 20 mins. We have been there two other times in the last month for various other family member one went in at 10 and got home at 3 and they said a purple scrotum was normal. Next day saw his doctor and they were alarmed with reading the er report. Another one was for a different child and we sat there from 5 till 11 and again they didn’t do anything . There a joke honestly go somewhere more capable of caring for a person. Update they are trying to bill me now $440. When no services were provided we ended up leaving and Fairview got my money instead now they’re trying to bill me $440 because they also didn’t take my daughter’s insurance not my fault they didn’t follow through with registration when you’re sitting in the lobby for four hours you think registration would’ve already stopped by to collect that information.. And I’ve informed them that she has insurance, but they keep writing it up as uninsured typical fraud. Mercy hospital is a big scam and a fraud.
place damn sucks waited for 4 hours to be called in the back while i seen people who was here way less get a room Why does that crap happen?? arab lady on front don’t got a shit and has a shitty attitude
They don't provide proper care and make you wait for hours; you practically have to arrive half-dead to get any attention. That's why it's an emergency room, so they can treat you as quickly as possible. You need more… doctors.
Dr Ferrari was rude and very passive aggressive. More focused on her lost phone than her patients. A random nurse that I haven't met yet came in and starting moving around my property looking for a phone that Ferari… left in her car... She caused alot of unnecessary pain in my ear canal and was still not able to remove the foreign object. Just kind of finding whatever tool was available to use and poke around with. No plan at all. This is the future of MDs? It felt like some teenager prancing around in a doctor's costume. Never again. Theres a reason why this hospital has TWO stars. 2.
The level of disrespect the doctor here gave me is unacceptable. She was working like she doesn’t care for any of her patients. I do not recommend people go here she even took it as far as trying to give me any kind of… medication just so we could be in and out knowing that medication could have hurt me.
Most incompassionate humans to walk the earth! Girl is puking in waiting area, rhe smell or horrendous, and they won't get her somewhere so the rest of us don't start puking! Had the worst migraine ever and couldn't… even get an ice pack or water! This place should be shut down!!
When a person comes to an Emergency Room, they are at their most vulnerable. As patients, we expect to be treated with basic human decency, kindness, and respect by the hospital staff. Unfortunately, that is not at all… what my friend experienced during a recent visit to this ER. Instead of compassionate care, my friend was met with unkindness and clear neglect. Medical competence is only half of a hospital's job; treating patients with dignity is the other half. This facility completely failed to provide an environment of emotional safety and respect. I hope the administration takes immediate action to review staff behavior and triage protocols so no other patient is treated this way.
Very rude morning staff, just staff in general when it came to pushing the call button or them coming in because they “had to” They do not care about their patients. When it came time that I pushed the call button when… I needed something, I would wait an hour or two hours and order for my nurse to actually come in because I needed help to get to the bathroom. I would not recommend coming here if you need care.
The E.R. was super busy, I had run out of a medication that if not taken, I would have a seizure, but at the same time, this medication takes care of anxiety and I ran out 2 days too soon. The E.R. was able to help me… by writing me a new script of the same medication for 2 days worth until I could get my REFILL. They were very helpful and treated me with respect and not like im "just some drug addic"
Didn't take me or my health seriously at all. Didn't even put me in an actual room. They had me sit and wait in an extra side room just to be shooed out the door. Zero stars. What is the health care system anymore?
UPDATE AT BOTTOM: What a terrible experience. Do not bring your disabled loved one to the mental health unit here. There were medication errors (who knows how many errors in the 10 days prior to our being there to… witness one and correct it). His legal guardian's phone number was consistently wrong despite being corrected multiple times. There was ZERO communication from doctors unless you begged for them to call you. We requested a "Care team meeting" so we could be informed of what was being done to help our loved one and never got a meeting, or even an attempt to schedule one. You can "pass a note" to the doctors to request them to check medication levels because you see your loved one having horrific side effects (after you've told every staff you meet that your loved one is highly sensitive to side effects) for a week and never hear back.Once the hospital finally does check his blood, five days after you ask about med levels, your loved one is moved to the ICU, but the hospital once again has an incorrect phone number, so you don't hear about it until you arrive to visit. Unity also didn't appear to help this disabled young man with showering, brushing his teeth, or even eating for a week when he went from ICU back to the mental health unit before discharge. He was clearly having short-term memory issues and needed a lot of prompting to remember HOW to eat. He looked at a tray of food in front of him during visiting hours and didn't seem to know what to do with it until I helped him cut his chicken and told him to eat. When your loved one is finally discharged, you find out the doctor accidentally stopped all his medications, which means Unity sent a bipolar young man who is barely out of a manic phase home without any mood stabilizers or sleep aids, and when you call to get it fixed, all you hear is "well, he's not a patient here anymore so I'm not sure what we can do." It's nothing short of a miracle from God that my brother survived this ordeal. Unity's canned response to this review does not surprise me. We reached out to the patient care liaison many times during the hospitalization, and nothing came of that, either. The liaison was one of the people who told us "well he's not a patient here, so I don't know that we can do anything" when we reached out after finding our he was sent home with no medication plan. We also asked the liaison as well as the nursing staff about the care team meeting.
Billing practices = questionable. Triage/check-in staff = not competent. "Yes, two insurance cards... OMG!" RE: correct ins. given at check-in, and multiple times to billing partner over several months due to incorrect… initial submit. Bill partner submitted 3 NEW CLAIMS, not updates to initial claim. Idiocy! This has caused me financial, and time headaches to say the least. No average person should deal with what I've fought to correct. *NOBODY* should consider insurance billing mistakes/errors a part time job, LIKE I HAVE DONE **MULTIPLE TIMES from this facility**! For every hour in the facility's "care," I estimate it has taken 10+ hours of my life's essence to ensure the final bill was correct and accurate. I know more about medical coding, insurance company procedures, and how to navigate a process that isn't for the meek, than I ever wanted. IMHO the motto for this facility is aligned with, "business is business," with an intentionally aggressive billing workforce. Tell me if wrong, but I expect a health care facility to have an operating philosophy akin to, "strive for accuracy and integrity." Not "meh, I'll do the minimum because IDGAF."
My 15-year-old daughter was brought here during a mental health crisis that was not her fault, and I would never recommend this hospital to another family. Staff were extremely rude toward her and intentionally agitated… her until she became distressed. At one point, 5 male security guards pinned her down. One of the guards choked her, leaving bruises on her body and a large goose egg on the side of her head. When I asked staff about the injury on her head, I was told that she had “done it to herself,” despite the fact that my daughter had been restrained for nearly 4 hours. Her dad and I repeatedly advocated for a female staff member because we were told she needed to be searched due to suspicion that she was hiding medication. My daughter clearly stated she wanted a female present, but that request was denied. Her clothes were removed by male staff despite her objections, and we were told we would “have to deal with it.” She is only 15 years old, and this entire experience has severely traumatized her. We have filed reports with both the hospital and the Blaine Police Department. Please do not bring your child here.
The female that offered me the apple juice for my son today at the counter is gorgeous!!Unfortunately I waited to long for the doctor…So me and my son left but gyyyyatttt! Her husband better marry her lol.
My usual health care provider works out of Fairview, but put a order thru for a Echocardiagram which I made an appointment with Mercy-Unity campus because it was the soonest I could be seen for this procedure (2 days vs… 13 days with Fairview). I was seen by a Anne, a Sonographer, who provided very skilled excellent service, very professional but extremely down to earth, friendly. She is a definite asset to Mercy-Unity.The procedure lasted about 35 minutes to complete, and I had results later that same day.
Super rude for no reason.. the staff needs an attitude adjustment. Not cool to treat sick people like this
WAIT TIME HERE IS SIGNIFICSNTLY WORSE THAN SNY OTHER TWIN CITIES ER. BY FAR. Go anywhere else. Abbott has been the most efficient . This hospital needs to investigate why they fail to get people through the er in a… comparable time to every other twin cities er. It really is ridiculous
I am an infertile mother, I had an embryo transfer for 20 days when I had a lot of vaginal bleeding and a miscarriage, I was taken to this hospital by my husband in the emergency room at this hospital on the morning of… March 31, 2026, they worked very slowly, slowly while I had a lot of bleeding in the vagina, I had to lie down for almost 1 hour waiting for the ultrasound. If you are really seriously ill, then go to the emergency room, or you have to wait. I feel disappointed.
This is the worst hospital I’ve ever experienced in the USA. The staff, the service and everything about this place is very disgusting!!!! I can never recommend my worst enemy to this place!! As an African/Black… American, this is NOT A PLACE YOU WANT TO TAKE your loved ones. I regret ever going to this place!! Today, March 19th, at exactly 5:15pm. The so-called nurse in charge treated us like trash. I didn’t get her name, but once I do, I will leave it in another review. I’m sick to my stomach even knowing that such a place is called a hospital.
One star for the emergency department. I recently got injected a medicine that is for things I have never been diagnosed with. Also discharged several times when should have been admitted medically. No wonder this… hospital is falling apart. But have to say the staff upstairs have been very kind to me when I did get to have a room there. I would never come to this emergency department again. And for all of you out there make sure when emergency doctors bill you that it goes in to your in network, even if the doctor is out of network. That is a law. Allina billing department has made thousands of dollars in mistakes that thankfully I catch and have it sorted out. Good luck to everyone out there.
Would give a zero if I could. I was suffering from a pinched nerve in my back. I explained to them that sitting was the worst position for me to be in, they forced me into a wheel chair even though I told them I didn't… want to be in there, I was even willing to lay on the floor and request a blanket many of times, the only response I got was " I wouldn't wanna lay on this floor" for over 3 hours they kept me in this chair I could not get out of the chair on my own, I was also there alone in severe pain, when I got back into triage, the nurse was very rude yelling questions at me while I am in obvious severe pain, unable to respond to her, I asked for medication, anything to help the pain, her response was we don't give out narcotics, I never asked for narcotics, when the doctor came in I expressed to him the pain I was in and how this sitting position felt like torture, I asked for a blanket and meds for the obvious pain I was in, when I look over in wait of his response, I see him looking at me from the other side of the door as he was shutting it, he was in the triage run no longer than 2min before he walked out and shut the door on me while I was requesting assistance and relief, I no longer felt safe, I felt they did not care about me at all, I was never told meds had been ordered, I was calling my spine clinic to ask them what I could do to relieve the pain, when another nurse came to inform me they were giving me meds, I asked her was the meds were and asked if she could explain the affects, I expressed to her that I didn't want to just be high and in pain, I didn't want anything that would make me high, they gave me two meds neither took the pain away but they did make me high, I could only feel the pain but not express the pain I was in, it was horrible, I finally got a hold if someone to come because at this point I need an advocate, I explained to my friend when she arrived what happened, stating how rude the doctor was and wondered if it could potentially be a lawsuit, I expressed concern with all of the hospitals shutting down I wonder if this is why, so many unprofessional situations, to add after the doctor shut the door on me I stated a voice recording. A little after my friend arrived a security officer told me to keep my voice down stating that I was being too loud, I said okay but was honestly a little surprised I didn't feel like I was being loud but they did give me meds, so I said okay I didn't realize I was being loud and apologized to those around me, while the officer was still there another nurse came to me and said " you need to keep you comments to yourself" at this point I am shocked so I stay quiet and don't respond, I tell my friend it's time to go, I feel completely unsafe there so we leave, once we get to the car I check my recording to see if I was being loud, I was not I was speaking in a normal tone, they just didn't like what i was expressing to my friend in my time of extreme pain, I did my best to advocate for myself with no relief, no support, and what it felt like a while team of staff that was ill prepared for real emergency. I would like to add that after I left I went straight to twin city orthopedics in blaine, they were so kind and understanding, they did scans right away and checked my symptoms, gave me proper medication for the pain that I was in, also to add no narcotics were given nor asked for at tco, they really saved the day.
Last weekend, my Aunt ended up in the ER It was such a wonderful experience from checking her in to every staff member that came into her room. Dr. Baker was outstanding and took the time to talk to her, and she truly… cared. Also Syndney was such a doll- she has this amazing personality and treated my aunt like family. Dr. Baker was just absolutely wonderful and never seemed rushed, and also treated my Aunt with so much care and concern. This was on a friday the hospital was packed! This is the best hospital, and I would recommend it to anyone.
I had a great experience with Dr. M. Florin at Mercy Unity. He is a very professional and understanding doctor, attentive to my needs, with no bias or unprofessional attitude. The staff was a bit straightforward in… their approach, but overall, the care provided by Dr. Florin was excellent. I highly recommend seeing him if you visit this hospital—he’s such an understanding and compassionate provider.
My husband and I were here the day after Christmas and we believe he had norovirus (or something like that). Nurses, Doctors, and Staff were great to work with, especially Nurse Gabriel. The wait was a little long but… it's the ER, that is to be expected.
Our family had multiple interactions with Mercy/Unity Hospital over the Christmas holiday, and the care provided was excellent. My dad was in the ER three times (f fall, high blood pressure) and ultimately hospitalized… with influenza A and double pneumonia, while my mom was also hospitalized at the same time for late-stage dementia. Despite the complexity and stress of these situations, the caregivers were consistently professional, attentive, and compassionate. Communication was clear and timely, and we felt well informed throughout both hospitalizations. The nursing and medical staff treated my parents with dignity and respect and demonstrated a high level of care during a very challenging time. I am grateful for the support and professionalism shown by the Mercy/Unity team. I will trust them again with my loved ones.
