Tuerk House Inc – Baltimore Detox and Rehab Services

What Tuerk House Inc – Baltimore offers, on record, is detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Supervised withdrawal comes first, with the greatest danger in the opening seventy-two hours. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

I give this place 5 stars no question. From the clean and neat facility to the compassionate and helpful staff there are simply no complaints. They have a really good system at TH where everyone works together no matter… what their position is. From the counselors to the peers to the nurses, everyone is on the same page like a well oiled machine. This was imperative to me detoxing from alcohol where lack of clarity and lack of confusion could just simply make my experience harder. Lots of empowering groups were had where it forced you to really reflect on previous and future choices however the counselors arent pushy. If you truly want the help they are open and ready to give it to you. Some additional pluses are the kitchen staff, they make sure you’re well fed which is an important part of recovery. Shoutout to Brittany the peer there, she runs around that facility helping any and every woman she can. I found her to be very helpful to me. Overall, I had a great experience and feel ready to continue to attack this disease, day by day.

Go there to gather yourself and all you have to do is exist. They will literally help you figure out what type of treatment fits you best for when you leave their facility. It’s a very nice environment. You get a room… with a roommate and a shower and bathroom. And they food you 3 full meals a day!! And I mean their meals are from a certified chef. Endless Coffee with each meal and a machine like McDonald’s with the fountain drinks but not soda. But strawberry lemonade, sweet tea, mango, orange juice and I think a few more. But I’m telling you it’s a 30 day max place but while your there like I said they will ensure your ready to go to your next recovery place and help you find it and coordinate with them and take you to a visit to see if the next place feels like a good fit. They have places that give u training for certain things, I forgot which ones they offer but trust me it’s an amazing place. Ohh I almost forgot they also offer detox off of benzos, opiates, and alcohol. They may offer more. Just call and speak with them and ask questions about their services. There’s a lady that speaks Spanish for people that need to go that can’t speak English but are still in need of help. No insurance required. Just the ability to want to become sober.

Tuerk house is a place where no matter the conditions (no insurance, no money, homelessness) come in and get what you need! If you are struggling with an addiction put the pride aside and walk into the open doors of… recovery. This place has saved my life and my hopes are it will save your life if you accept the help. No program will ever be a 100% however if you gear your energy to focus on your recovery a 100% I can guarantee you that your disease will be arrested. Thanks to the Tuerk house staff you are greatly appreciated.

Just spoke to a Tashera that is doing no help In finding the whereabouts of my Family member even though a verbal consent for HIPAA was given over the phone. Something has got to be done about this place.

I have a family member who may or may not be in there. Only God knows at this point. The admin said They don’t have a release of information for my name. I told her the entire conversation that I had with The family… member When they’re counselor was asking them to hang up so they could speak to them and I heard My family member telling their counselor that I can hear anything and I was their blood so it’s ok to talk about anything in front of me. The admin said well we don’t take verbal consent, We take that in writing. I said well once the counselor heard them verbally say that she should’ve slid the paper in front of them that he needed to signed. This is hindering me from knowing the whereabouts of this family member

Don't believe the 5* reviews, this is the worst treatment center I've ever been in it feels like jail literally don't come here, I lasted 2 weeks and walked because the denied me of my nasal congestion medicine... A… Drug free medicine, i couldnt breath in the high heat which made leave. Residents steal and the techs have bad attitudes is give it 0 starts of I could.

Thank you Vincent for reaching out to our loved one today. Thank you for letting her call home. Thank you for giving her hope; today that hope transcended to her family. Thank you for offering help without anything in… return, for reminding her of her value as a human. I wonder how long it's been since she's gotten a kind word? Thank you for meeting her right where she is, in all the trauma and confusion; not judging her, letting her know there is a way out, that she has a life ahead to look forward to, Thank you Vincent for saving a life today.

The place is a scam they put a gym in there 2 years ago and no one has ever worked out in it yet. A lot of the Counselors, have they do favoritism? Some of them are racisthey have a brand new stadium or kitchen where it… has like the salad bar and everything you don't get no salad bar. I was never ran out of sugar the 1st day. I was that sugar didn't have no sugar for the next 3 days. Read the pamphlet, it says, you will never go hungry to help you with clothes. Don't do none of that

5 star recovery from Detox to coming into the Nilsson House. One thing I like about this place is the groups and the other gentlemen I get to do recovery with. I also like the activities. Also the preparation to be a… very good member of society once I live this house place

Man I ain't gon lie. I really didn't want to be here but my family so that I had so much trauma, depression and drugs so I came in to get detox. I experienced 28 days of positive direction about recovery. It led me to… search my inner self. I left the 28 day program and came to to Howard House. These few months have kept me from the streets and kept drugs away from me. Helped me progress and get clean and my mind right.

It matters how you "treat" people. Immediately met with hostility when calmly asking for help finding the crisis stabilization center. Do better!!

My name is frank A. I went through Turk House crisis center for three days then i went up stairs to the men's 30 day inpatient treatment center. I had a nice counselor their who suggested i try the Weisman House long… term program and I knew going in to treatment that I had enough of the streets, I was excepted by Ms. Gwenn and I made it work for me. I was able to accomplish everything I planned to do. The staff and director was great working with clients were they were at in their process and what they hoped to achieve before leaving. I have to say thanks to Ron, A peer at the house, He would give us real talk about his experiences that most of the guy's their could relate to.
