Arrowhead Behavioral Health – Maumee Detox and Rehab Services

Arrowhead Behavioral Health – Maumee appears on the register for detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Withdrawal is managed under clinical observation before other treatment begins, which matters most in the first seventy-two hours for alcohol and benzodiazepines. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Arrowhead cared for me when I was unable to care for myself. From the time I walked through the door to the time I left, they cared. They bend over backwards to move us to a healthy mindset to succeed. It's not uncommon… for The Admistrators to come out of their offices and walk through Unit and talk to us and ask how can they help us on our journey and address our needs. What can they do to improve? I know this personally because one day this lady dressed in sparkling white was walking through the Unit with a clipboard. I asked "Sooo are you the Good Witch of the East?". She smiled (and that particular day I needed that smile) and replied "Actually I'm the CEO". I was like "So you're in charge?" She continued to smile as she nodded her head. I asked if we can go on a field trip. She laughed and said not now, but after you're discharged you can anywhere you want. Then she asked if I had a couple of minutes and we sat and had a conversation. She immediately started taking notes. How was I being treated, did I have additional needs they could accommodate and questions along that line. We talked for 20 - 30 minutes. Why would a CEO talk to ME for that long?...because she and her staff really do care. I have no doubt that should ANYBODY findself themself in a situation where they realize they need some help, Arrowhead is where you wanna start. They've got your 6.

The staff were phenomenal. They were empathetic. Knowing what patients have gone through in life did not affect their professionalism or their morals. I truly appreciated that. I would recommend this hospital to any and… everyone. I pray they get an adolescent wing. There were groups that motivated us to think outside the box. Mindful exercise to open our mind, heart and spirit There were spiritual groups to help us grow inside, look to/for a higher power. My higher power is God. They knew that and they were accommodating with it all. There were groups to help grow in patience and giving ourselves grace...We are human not computers but we are able to reset, step back, start again...the next minute, next day. One day at a time. It's ok🥹 .P.S. Austin, you're great, no matter what. I'll also be praying for you to receive a bonus $$ real soon🤜🏾 and make sure you send me half of it😊 (inside joke)

I stayed here for mental health treatment, hoping to heal from past trauma, but I left with even more. During my stay, a man in his 40s grabbed me, pushed me into my room, and kissed me without my consent. I was… terrified, shocked, and felt completely unsafe in a place where I was supposed to be protected. After I reported what happened, I was moved to another unit away from him, which showed the staff recognized there was a problem. However, I felt like my experience was minimized and that I was blamed instead of supported. I never felt that appropriate action was taken. I am a 22-year-old woman, and this experience has stayed with me. I came here looking for help with my mental health, but I left carrying even more trauma. It has taken me a long time to feel ready to speak about what happened because of how deeply it affected me. I am sharing my experience because I hope no one else has to go through what I did. Patients deserve to feel safe, to be believed when they report sexual assault or harassment, and to be treated with compassion.

From the staff at every level, the physician, the nurses, the technical staff, the recreational therapists, the chefs, the office personel, the cleaning and house keeping staff, I won't mention names on the internet but… you know exactly who you are. This place is complete. You're treated with what I consider the three C's of any people centered service facility. Care, Compassion, and Concern. It's all genuine. If you are at a low point and need a pick-me-up, if you are seeking to have an entire crew treat and meet you exactly where you are, if you need a stress free environment or 1 on 1 attention with spirited individuals who truly have an unbelievable passion and patience and grace for what they do, look no further. This isn't where dreams are necessarily made, but they are most certainly realized. You have to take care of you and be right with yourself before you can take care of anybody else. I wish I could be a part of this team but they are a select cohesive group with a gifted calling. Don't be ashamed. Don't be afraid. Mental health and substance abuse are real things. Take the time and invest in yourself and you'll get it back ten fold with this crew. Fall down seven times, stand up eight 💪🏼 🙌 👏 ❤️

Arrowhead Behavioral Health is hands down the most compassionate treatment center I’ve experienced. The staff checks on you every 10–15 minutes and truly cares about your comfort and safety. If you need food, water, or… anything at all, they take care of you right away without making you feel like a burden. Compared to places like Midwest Recovery Center and The University of Toledo Medical Center, the level of attention and compassion here is on a completely different level. Not to mention, they also have community cigarettes if you need them. None of the other treatment centers provide that. If you need help with mental health or detox, this is the place to go. They treat you like a person, not just a patient.

Great.Great food love the option of seconds. Enjoy refreshment time and that we were allowed to have snacks and pop this is my third visit would highly recommend it. Staff very friendly and consider it. One girl used… the n word six times and threatened to hit an older guy and was not reprimanded. A guy in a wheelchair also took control of the t v controller. All day long would he watch what he wanted continually?Fall asleep wake up rewind. The program so he could watch the parts that he missed and most of the time he would watch.A movie at night and fall asleep before it was finished. I am currently at a rehab center in Detroit, Michigan, and the food is no comparison to arrowhead. The food here sucks most of the time. I throw it away.It might be a good way to lose weight lol.

This place has a person that works there that puts very disparaging remarks on social media about people in AA! She Also calls people that don’t agree with her politically all kinds of names. If you go make sure you… don’t have any type of political affiliation on just saying. I don’t know how they have somebody working there like that!

My experience at Arrowhead truly changed — and honestly saved — my life. I came in at one of the lowest points I’ve ever been in, terrified of the real world and unsure how I was going to survive what I was feeling.… Being there gave me the safety, structure, and compassion I desperately needed to stabilize and breathe again. I want to especially recognize Nurse Amy and Nurse Elaine — they were incredibly sweet, patient, and kind to me. Their compassion made such a difference during moments when I felt scared and overwhelmed. They treated me like a human being, not just a patient. Austin was also amazing — supportive, understanding, and genuinely caring. The rest of the staff as a whole were kind, present, and attentive, and their consistency helped me feel safe enough to start healing. One unexpected and beautiful part of my stay was the people I met. I made amazing friends there, and that sense of connection reminded me that I wasn’t alone in what I was going through — that alone was incredibly healing. Being at Arrowhead helped ground me, gave me tools to move forward, and quite literally saved my life. I will always be grateful for the care I received and for the people who showed up for me when I needed it most.

Fairly good facility and staff mostly. But I was disappointment with my dr tbh and I had an episode in there and my meds wernt working anymore and they basically just kicked me out also all the nurse social worker type… people were very nice and helping tho

Wonderful staff. They really want to see you get better. Only downfall is that there are some patients that can be unruly or are just there to detox and not actually heal themselves. I still would recommend this… treatment center to anyone going through addiction or mental health issues. Thank arrowhead for turning my life around.

This place deserves 0 stars, the worst nightmare you can imagine...the staff are lazy and are not giving patients their medicine on time. And in many instances aren't giving their medicine at all, after asking multiple… times for their prescribed medication...the nurses put down the patients with inappropriate comments...and belittle them with smart remarks. I would never recommend this place for yourself or loved one's...they do more damage than good, and get paid for it. Thumbs 👎 for this behavioral hospital ‼️
