About Axis Health System – Cortez

Axis Health System operates from 691 East Empire Street in Cortez, close enough to Dolores and Lewis to serve both. People travelling from Dolores, Lewis and Towaoc are all inside 12 miles. Montezuma County is the relevant authority here, which matters for anyone using state-funded care.

Services run to intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Medication-assisted treatment pairs buprenorphine, methadone or naltrexone with counseling. Both conditions are worked on in parallel, which is what the evidence supports. Some contact can happen by video rather than in person. Veterans and serving personnel are among the groups served. Licensing sits with the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration, alongside federal SAMHSA registration.

How Much Does Treatment at Axis Health System – Cortez Cost?

Self-pay rehab in Colorado typically works out at $250 to $800 a day for medical detox, $100 to $330 a day for an intensive outpatient program and $50 to $180 a day for standard outpatient care. No prices were found for Axis Health System at the time of writing, so the daily figures are typical state costs.

In most programs the fee includes medical monitoring, the intake assessment, group therapy and individual counseling. Nothing from Axis Health System itself was found on this, so that is an assumption. Ask for a tailored price and what it includes.

Such a shame they're the biggest mental health providers in town. If you call out their bullshit behavior they come up with with any excuse to turn it on you, the patient. Really good at providing the meds you need the… only problem is that once youre on those meds they are incredibly nonchalant about actually calling them in to get filled. It takes sometimes weeks to get meds then, again it gets flipped as if you're in the wrong. Good luck talking to the psych too he'll just awkwardly stare at you until you start the conversation. Just overall a terrible look for a is as a whole. If you have literally any other options I'm sure they're better.

If you need dental work done. Stay away from Dr G. He does not respect you in any way. Only wants the $$. I have lost 4 teeth in the last 8 months and have 6 more needing to be extracted. This is caused by medication I… have to take and it will eventually rott them all. I have other missing from before the 4 I have mentioned. He wants to nurse it along and just keep fill them for the next 10 years and then talk dentures. I asked to have the bottoms pulled and fitted for dentures. He refuses. The last Tooth I had pulled there was done by the head dentist but I dont remember his name. Because I would like to talke to him about this. Dentures for me means no more money for him. Well I will go toothless before another tooth his filled in my mouth. Kept telling me I will regret it. Well thats my choice not his

No interpersonal anything. Corporate, big pharma, one size fits all, blanket med treatment . Gaslighting. Excuses abound. Accountability? NOT. You're just a number with a $ sign. We are trapped in a medical desert.… Better off making appointment with a veterinarian. Vets are FULL. Understandable.

Been happy until I'm sitting here with a sore shoulder that's clunking and swollen. Been 12 days and no X-ray results yet. Hope there's no fracture since it's probably healed already. Been calling daily with reminders… and questions. No call back as of 12 days. Probably should have blown some big insurance money and went to the E.R. .

I have asthma and the smoke is intense in my home town. I cannot breathe, and called to make an appointment. I was told they can see me near the end of September. I repeat, I cannot breathe. Don't expect medical help,… even if you need it.

Your dentist is far from professional and im upset with the fact that he'd rather have me suffer and pay him his greed with more money than get me in better health and be happy for me not having to come in anymore. I… while back 1 year or two ago I went in to have my wisdom tooth removed at the age of 23-24 any professional dentist in his position would have definitely went ahead with the surgery of removing my wisdom tooth instead of leaving it in to cause me more problems down the line. It's generally more commonly known for people now days that it's better to have your wisdom teeth removed in your late teens or early twenties so you won't have more problems in the future when it's removed. My wisdom tooth even had a cavity on it and he just grinded it down a little and capped it off with filling instead of removing it. I SHOULD GET COMPENSATED FOR HIS INCOMPETENCE!

Dr. Giessel is great but everyone else seems to be incompetent. They have lied about not having test results in from a ultrasound and CT scan even though I confirmed with radiology that they'd been sent days prior,… twice. We needed a CT scan and they told me it was being processed for 3 weeks until they suddenly said they didn't have it and it was never put into the system. They never call you back. Getting anything done through them is literally like pulling teeth.

Was super nervous about getting a root canal done since I had never had any major dental procedure done before. The dental assistant was exceptionally friendly and answered all my questions in a reassuring manner. I… believe her name was Shayla. Dr. Grose was also fantastic, addressing all of my concerns and thoroughly explained the procedure. Nitrous Oxide was administered for anxiety, and local anesthetic was highly effective. I felt zero pain, in fact I barely felt anything at all. Overall, my experience was very positive, I highly recommend this facility for any dental work that needs to be done. All staff were very friendly and helpful, thank you all so much :) Not sure what these people are being paid, but it is almost certainly not enough. Everyone involved with my procedure deserves a raise.

I used to get great care but since an amazing NP is no longer there my care has gone way down. Most of the staff I deal with are awesome but when it comes to figuring out what’s actually wrong with you, they suck. The… providers just rush you out without listening to your concerns or taking you seriously. Compassion is certainly lacking with the healthcare side. There are two therapists that I know that are awesome and the receptionists are fantastic but if you want quality health care, this is not the place.

★★★★★

I contacted the dentist office because I had tooth pain. The receptionist scheduled an appointment for me the next morning. The dentist diagnosed the problem quickly, and installed a filling within less than an hour.… One of my best experiences with a dentist office.
