The staff were amazing across the board: knowledgeable, warm, and clearly invested in every person who walked through the door. Just as meaningful was the community that formed among us as patients. There's something… powerful about doing this work alongside people who understand it, and Oro created the conditions for that to happen. The programming was well-rounded in a way I didn't expect. The somatic work, including yoga, breathwork, and acupuncture, helped me reconnect with my body, while the educational classes gave me a real understanding of what I was dealing with and how to actually treat it. That combination of hands-on healing and practical knowledge is what made it stick. I left with tools, insight, and a sense of connection I'll carry forward. Highly recommend.

First, let me say congratulations on taking the first step toward healing and recovery. I am so proud of you. It isn’t an easy journey, and while Overland Recovery provides incredible support, understand that only you… can do the work. Healing requires showing up for yourself every single day. I’ll be honest, the beginning was hard. I came to Overland after losing my mom, and the grief felt overwhelming. The staff met me with compassion and support, and little by little, each day became a little lighter. Kendra’s group was my absolute favorite, with Angela’s group being a close second. Both of them helped me understand my grief, but more importantly, they helped me realize I was carrying so much more than just the loss of my mom. Through their guidance, I began processing years of emotional baggage I didn’t even realize I was holding onto. I’ve participated in other IOP programs before, but Overland Recovery was different because of the genuine connections I made with others who were also on their own healing journeys. There was something powerful about not feeling alone. I also appreciated their holistic approach to recovery. We practiced grounding techniques, yoga, and even acupuncture, all of which helped calm my nervous system during a time when it felt completely overwhelmed. The best way I can describe it is this: my nervous system was like a car with every warning light illuminated on the dashboard. Overland helped me begin turning those lights off, one by one. And don’t be alarmed when they ask you to turn in your phone during programming. It’s not meant to punish you, it’s to help you be fully present. You can’t heal if you’re constantly distracted. Just like you can’t drive a car without putting your foot on the gas, you can’t move forward in recovery without fully participating. Another thing I loved was the level of support. You have an entire team behind you, including your own therapist and a case manager who can help coordinate your leave from work and keep you accountable throughout the process. A special shout-out to Teddy for holding me accountable every single time. Accountability isn’t always comfortable, but it is necessary for growth. And if you get the chance to meet Gabe, take a moment to connect with him. He’s one of the best. I’ll leave you with this: healing is hard work, but carrying around oversized luggage, a carry-on, and all the emotional baggage you’ve been dragging through life is even harder. Eventually, it becomes exhausting to carry and impossible to keep masking. Give yourself grace. Pour back into yourself. Trust the process, even when it’s difficult. You’ve already taken the hardest first step, and for that, I’m incredibly proud of you.You got this!

I spent three months at Overland and I’m so grateful for the experience. The one-on-one therapy and coaching gave me space to really dig into my patterns. Setting boundaries and communication was honestly the hardest… skill for me to learn, but the team at Overland has given me tools I can use to handle stress and conflict differently. I finally had a way to navigate discomfort that had always felt out of reach before. What surprised me most were the extracurricular groups. Expressive art, poetry, music therapy, yoga — these loosened something in me that talk therapy alone couldn’t reach. They helped me access my own thoughts and feelings in a way I didn’t expect. The facilitators listened without judgment and the discussions consistently pushed me to confront my triggers instead of avoiding them. I’m leaving feeling more balanced and hopeful, with an actual toolbox to reach for when overwhelm and discomfort comes up. Overland taught me that gratitude and a real sense of community can carry you a long way in a healing journey. Thank you to the entire team — this experience mattered.

I went to overland at an all time low of my life. Overland over exceeded every expectation I had of getting help. The staff, my therapist and my case manager changed my life. I couldn’t thank overland enough for… everything they did for me. Believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself and they saw the good and the better in me. I always talk about how I will never find another therapist as good as the ones at overland. Thank you guys for everything. Truly.

This is not a program. This is a family of people with very different experiences, but they share one thing in common. They want to help people. Some people go into the medical field in general i.e. doctors, dentists,… therapists, etc. Only for the money. The best help you can receive is by asking. Whats the real reason you chose the field? Is it because of the money, the opportunities, the flashy items, or is it because you genuinely want to help people. Yes, it is hard at times. However growth does not happen under easy conditions. Change does not happen instantly. It takes time, its slow, its uncomfortable, but it is worth it. I have been to so many program's where people just want a paycheck and go home. This is a smaller program, small building, small amount of case managers, therapists, group facilitators, psychiatrists, and psychologist in-training. They get the job done. Hard work, but also smart work provides results. The patients here are really students, they asked for help, accepted it They want to learn what they can do better to adapt to the world. Life is hard but it doesn't mean I have to do it alone. GET IN THERE BIG DAWG. LAY IT DOWN PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Cry, yell, get angry, get sad, but by the end of it you'll have inexperience of joy, a journey of hero, and a family of people of your very own. The plants in this photos is like the staff, the students, and the community of the people. Thank you to the Overland Family

Overland IOP and PHP is an exceptionally well-curated treatment program that immerses patients in a supportive and caring environment. The program utilizes a variety of effective therapies, allowing you to engage in… experiential approaches such as yoga, physical fitness, breathwork, acupuncture, and creative expression to discover what works best for you. These premium treatments are rare in other programs. Combined with traditional one-on-one psychotherapy, medication management, caseworker support, and psychoeducational group sessions, the program provides everything necessary to start and maintain a successful recovery. Most importantly, the staff makes this an ideal place to heal and grow. They are truly special individuals who care deeply about their patients. Having been in other treatment programs, I feel incredibly fortunate to have found them! Special shout out to Chanti and Teddy. I can’t thank them enough!!

I am incredibly grateful for my experience at Overland! The staff were incredibly empathetic and accommodating. They provided a wide range of therapeutic techniques, methods, and resources to support me in my mental… health journey, which I think is incredibly special and vital as we are multifaceted and complex beings… so one size does not fit all. I especially loved, Noelle, my therapist who made me feel so safe and seen throughout the entire process. I really needed a support group that could meet me where I was at, and be really patient and sensitive, and I really experienced that here throughout my time. I gained so many helpful insights from so many of the staff that I will continue to use in my day to day life. Anyone who feels lost or struggling, I highly recommend you give Overland a chance. All the staff are truly wonderful people and care deeply about what they do.

When I was initially referred for group therapy I shied away from it because I keep things to myself and good with being vulnerable, not even with the closest person to me, my Husband. But my first day at Overland was… so pleasant. I found staff there, welcoming, excepting and open. It was like they already know you're fragile. My Case Manager Gabriel is so Awesome, if I could sit with him for two hours every day I would, and my therapist, Noel is great, she kept me thinking and on target. All of the group sessions let me in on parts of me I didn't and still dont know about myself; however, I know now a better ways to handle situations and set boundaries, as well as keep myself in a place so I'm not so hard on me. Thank you, Gabriel, Noel, Danny, Kyla, Teddy, Regina and Eldor, and you too Jay. Overland is a Safe Place 🙏🏾 for all. Stay Awesomely Amazing. 💝💝

I didn’t even know places like Overland existed, and I am so incredibly grateful that I found my way there. My journey started in Kaiser’s IOP program, which, although it wasn’t quite what I needed, ultimately led me to… Overland — and that made all the difference. From the very first phone call to my last day (and even beyond), Overland has been consistently supportive throughout my treatment journey. I was truly amazed by the variety of group offerings available to clients. There was something meaningful and practical in every experience. Gabe was an amazing and realistic case manager who helped me feel supported in tangible ways. I often told my therapist, Chanti, that however they match clients with therapists, they did an incredible job — because I genuinely felt heard, understood, and safe with her. She provided tools and resources that I could immediately apply to my life. Because I was able to open up to her, I experienced real and meaningful growth. It’s an incredible feeling when your friends and family begin to notice the positive changes too. I discovered a love for writing poetry in Jordan and Isabel’s groups. Sarah’s calm, zen presence even helped this non-yogi step outside my comfort zone and enjoy yoga. The sound bath was a first for me, but I was able to truly let go, relax, and embrace the experience. Music therapy quickly became a favorite. Angela and Chanti’s DBT and CBT groups were practical, empowering, and full of takeaways I could implement right away. Honestly, I could go on and on. Part of me selfishly wishes I were still attending, even though I made significant progress. I’m forever grateful for the connections I built with other clients, and for every staff member — from Jay at the front door to everyone working behind the scenes — who was welcoming, supportive, professional, and genuinely kind. I would absolutely recommend Overland to anyone seeking support for addiction and/or mental health challenges. Thank you, Overland, for seeing me, hearing me, and walking alongside me in my healing journey. I will always be grateful.

For both mental health and recovery OVERLAND IS THE PLACE TO GO! They have a comprehensive dynamic team of some of the sweetest most caring souls I’ve ever been blessed to be able meet on my recovery journey. They have… a mix of group sessions physical fitness yoga art therapy family dynamics CBT DBT and 12 step based programming that really helped me heal and transform my life. I’m not religious by any means but these guys are miracle workers! Especially the case managers who are able to help put your mind at ease when it comes to unemployment, disability, insurance, court letters etc so that you can totally focus on your healing and growth Journey. I’ve spent 5 months here doing the deal but I’ve seen some folks be in and out and on the happy road to recovery within weeks they really tailor your treatment to your specific needs. Their main tech JAY is a dream come true he goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is taken care of my case managers Teddy and Zach saved my life an kept my spirits up my therapists Chanti and Paul gave my a new perspective on my life my past and and future. I owe Overland everything and would recommend them to anyone… I spent 30 days in a fancy Bridges Beverly Hills residential treatment center in a mansion with a pool that didn’t come close to the levels of competence and thoroughness of care that Overland did. If you take suggestions an work this program with all your heart you will see amazing results I love you and I hope this review finds you well!

The shame is that, there not only aren’t more treatment options for mental health, but that there aren’t many with the kind of quality and care that I was provided for, here at Overland. You don’t know what you’re… getting yourself into from the start of this whole healing process, and when you come to Overland for the very first time, you naturally ask yourself if you belong. But let me say, you do belong, and in fact, others would benefit from you being there. The group topics, the therapy and it’s multiple modalities offered, the staff from the clinical director to the care coordinators, is where I think I’d say Overland excels at, and makes them a top tier treatment center. Send your loved ones, send your friends, hell, send your enemies and watch them come back as acquaintances. How else can I say thank you? How else can I point out that they gave me a reason to stick around?
