Serenity Behavioral Health Systems – Augusta Reviews
Patients remember things about Serenity Behavioral Health Systems that no register holds: who answered the phone, how the first day went, whether family were included.
If you have that kind of knowledge, a review in this section passes it on.
They don't even answer the phone. I've called like 5 through out the day, left voicemail. No call back or anything. What's the point if you can't even get help?
Kind and passionate staff who really care and go above and beyond
Best place to get prescription.
This place is TERRIBLE ! A relative was here and she mentioned how terrible they treated them , They don’t sound helpful at all! They don’t give them clean water , They apparently have to drink water from the SINK !… Their meals don’t sound like meals. They didn’t even bother to sit there and talk to her daily as you’d expect them to in order to help. Also I’ve been told they can only sleep 2 hrs at a time before they are roughly woken up ! Wouldn’t recommend it at all! KEEP YOUR LOVED ONES AWAY FROM HERE send them to an actual facility that will provide the help they need. Definitely give it a ZERO out of Five
This place has played a huge part in my sobriety, the staff are amazing. They always make me feel like family. And my therapist Brittany is the absolute best! I’m so grateful for this place and all that they do. And… also the nurses are always so sweet! I look forward to my bi weekly appointments. Thank you serenity for helping me become me again!
If I could give this Place 0 Stars, I would but the only reason I'm giving it a 1 star is because of the lady with dreads all the way on the end with the Jesus Ear Rings. Mr.Mark, it's time for you to retire because… Since I've been in Augusta of 2022, my first episode You turned me away. This is the 4th and Final Time I will ever walk into this place. I understand I may seem fine but if you allow people to walk around to buy 3 dollar cigarettes, I should be aloud to safely check in because I'm a threat to the general public. But once again, when I get quiet and walk away, that's the time Mr.Mark you should be asking do you need to keep me separated from every one else. Because God's knows I've been trying with Serenity BEHAVIORAL HEALTH but now I will go somewhere and get the proper treatment. I get turned away every time because all beds are filled with homeless/drug addict people every NIGHT! Is that a Problem? Not at all but everyday you barely have 1 bed? BUT WHEN I NEED A 1013 or whatever it's called DUE TO MY MENTAL DISORDER ETC your safety is concerned. What kind of Mental health place is this? If you that scared and old... retire and hire security.
This hospital is awful. Don’t send your loved ones here if you are looking for real help and solution with mental health don’t send them here. My loved one said all the nurse aids did was play cards and barely gave you… meds. She left there with no diagnosis. If you can, I highly recommend Anchor Hospital in College Park.
I been coming to Serenity since I was 15yrs old I’m now 32. I have amazing case worker Ms.jovon she is the most sweetest and caring person I have met in a while and very helpful and understanding I couldn’t ask for a… better caseworker!!!
This place is a 10/10 especially working with my caseworker Mrs Javon she have always been my listening ear always been my backbone ever since I met her years ago if anyone is unsure about life and hard life choices… please don’t feel ashamed or guilty for getting the help that you actually needs your past don’t define you nor does the nature of life so get the help you need and I promise you won’t regret it because my caseworker Mrs Javon is there for me every step of the way a real and true dedicated person
They never answer the phone or call back
I appreciate the help that i received from Building E. Amanda Miller, Cheryl Jones and Candice Roberts. They operate in excellence if you need help come here. Building E is the place to be. Serenity is the place. They… treated me well across the whole campus. I love yaw!!
I have to say that this place is a miracle for me. I used to go to New Seasons Metro Treatment Center on Tabacco Rd. I was paying 20$ per day for 3 years because i had no insurance and i always struggled to get my… medication because that is alot of money for anyone to pay per day. I was denied medicaid so i didnt know what to do. And i had told the counselors there about my struggles financially and the director Christina who does nothing but try and suck money out of people . So last week i could not pay for my meds and they would not help at all i was going to have to go sick. I have been clean for over 7 years from pain pills . And now i was going to have to be sick becuase i could not pay them and i always do what im supposed like have clean drug tests and go to meetings. So i met with the director Christina and she all of a sudden tells me about Serenity Behavioral health. I went straight over there and got an assesment and a doctors appointment for the next day. That place did more for me in 2 days then the othere did for me in almost 4 years treatment. I paid only 20 bucks for all my medications and they helped me with antidepressants as well. The whole team over there was very supportive for me and was on the ball to help get me setup so i did not get sick. Thank you Serenity Behavioral healthfor everything. And if you are reading this Never i Repeat Never got to New Seasons Metro Treatment Center on Tabacco Rd. That place should be ashamed of what they do. Only a couple good counselors over there that really care and i appreciate them but all the others are horrible
Mrs. Javon in Building E has went above and beyond to help me get housing. I’ve tried for years, but got nowhere with any resources. I was suffering with depression and other health issues. Due to Mrs. Javon’s help I’ve… gone from homeless to being able to have my own home. I’m can’t explain the appreciation that I have for all the work Mrs. Javon did for me. I’m am truly grateful, and blessed that God allowed for us to meet at Building E. Mrs. Javon is the best at what she does. I have nothing, but love for her. Without Mrs. Javon I would still be homeless. Thank you with all my heart, Mrs. Javon.🤗❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻🤗
I was skeptical about this place at first because of the ratings, but all the workers here were so genuine & kind. One of the workers who seriously made an impact was Mrs Carolyn and Mr David. Mrs Carolyn gave me a hug… when i first got here as she knew i was in a bad mental spot. Will forever remember her.
I enjoyed my stay there. Staff is very sweet and caring.
Taking care of my son!! Absolutely grateful for all their help!! The entire staff led by Bro Mark has been a godsend in getting my son the help he needs after the passing of his mom. Sincere thanks!!! 😇 Bro Wash
This place does not even deserve one star. The facility overall is a joke. You will have mental health problems leaving here if you didn’t already have them when you came. Appointments are NEVER on time, nurses… disregard your concerns because they are too busy talking about patients, counselors judge you, religion gets pushed down your throat, and the doctors treat you like guinea pigs. Actual building is just as outdated as their practices. I suffer through my appointments to try to get some help, but it’s detrimental when you aren’t validated and treated less than a human.
Not a great facility!!!! Most of the staff do not care about the people that come in and you’re not gonna get the help you need. They are glorified babysitters. (Inpatient) The bathrooms dining/sitting area, and rooms… are disgusting!!!!
Terrible
I was very skeptical after reading reviews but this place has been good to our family with helping our 1 member, who really needs assistance. He has a great team at Serenity between medication control, peer groups,… caseworker and physicians. The resources here in GA far out weigh the resources we had in FL. We just wish they weren't so far away from where we live. So with that, I say so far, so good.
Nice organized office, I just didn’t like that they took too long to see me for my appointment but hey what doctor doesn’t right? But other than that great customer service and good energy from staff.
Treatment has been stellar! My previous doctors and clinic would view me as a number more than a patient. Excellent staff all the way through the building. One Doctor in particular helped me with a civil case involving… my child and even though things may have not turned in my favor this clinic treated me with respect and kindness. Helped in my medicine to reduce my stress levels and treatment plans to put my goals in reach.
I take my Aunt, who walks with a walker and her son, who's autistic. So everytime I take them, I park at the door (not blocking the entrance) to help her get out and get her walker. Today, the security guard decides he… want to tell me that I couldn't park in front. I tell him that I park here everytime and it's never a problem and she's always walking out the door when she sees me pulling up. So im never leave my car to walk in. He says that it's a loading zone. Well if a truck comes while she's walking to the car, I'll move. So he walks off shaking his head. I'm not blocking the entrance, I'm not just sitting there.....what's the problem 🤷♀️
