Middlesex Recovery PC – Woburn Detox and Rehab Services

Middlesex Recovery PC – Woburn provides detox, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Withdrawal is managed under clinical observation before other treatment begins, which matters most in the first seventy-two hours for alcohol and benzodiazepines. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home.

Only one side is covered here, so ask directly if both are needed. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Anyone can ask what a typical week looks like before starting. Cost, travel and waiting time are all worth weighing together.

Margarita and Dr. Yvonne Smikle are the best. The receptionist kicks butt and is the best at her role. Dr. Smikle is also a super kind lady and will do what’s best for you.

I had an insurance issue & my doctor, along with the girls at the front desk did an over the top job of sorting things out quickly & with patience. They made me feel like a ‘real person’ & not just another patient they… had to deal with. I can’t put into words how happy I am to be fortunate enough to be seen in this most loving & caring practice. From my therapist, to my doctor, to the front desk - it’s a class act of knowledge, compassion, & kindness. If you’re looking into recovery for yourself or a loved one, I highly recommend Middlesex Recovery Woburn.

i can not express how awesome everyone is at middlesex recovery. the kind words that they say and just being there for you when you need it the most. Margarita is the sweetest person ever. also they other woman at the… front desk, i am so sorry for not knowing her name, but she is also one of the sweetest and most helpful. i am talking spilling me with things that helped me with an assignment that i had to do for school. they are absolutely amazing people, and i do mean everyone there in the office, they make you feel like you are part of their “family”. thank you for everything that you do for the clients. I have been a patient of Middlesex Recovery since 2013. Since becoming a patient, I have worked full time, and like most of us, have professional and personal obligations. What this practice asks of you is a small piece… in comparison to the big picture. You will be expected to appear for your weekly, or bi weekly appointment, and provide a screen. Over the years I have had the pleasure of receiving care from multiple doctors at Middlesex, and all delivered exceptional patient care. It’s one thing to be a doctor with excellent education and training, it’s another to complement that knowledge and skill with exceptional patient interpersonal skills. Dr. O’Connor was the first doctor I saw back in 2013. Even though I no longer see him, a relationship was built where I trust him. Dr. O’Conner, in my opinion, understood recovery is not always pretty or perfect, and patients can feel and express the good, bad, and ugly without giving up. People in recovery tend to have a keen sense when someone isn't listening. Or get that vibe that he or she could care less. When we were using, not doing well, and destroying lives that skill was sharpened over and over regardless of the regret and shame that piled on. Not once have I gotten that feeling from any of the staff at Middlesex Recovery. I have also been a patient of Dr. Harrington, Dr. Smikle, and currently Dr. Wightman. All of them deliver great patient care as Dr. O’Connor exhibits. This allows a patient to build an honest relationship which can be lifesaving regardless of how it sounds. Middlesex recovery doesn't just employ some of the best addiction specialist clinicians, they also employ the best support staff. Margarita who works out of the Woburn office is outstanding at her job, moreover she is just an amazing human being. There have been times where something happens, a long weekend approaches and I call with all my end of the world problems and Margarita picks up. She listens, and if a solution is possible that woman will find it. She speaks to you respectfully and kindly. When she has told me she will call me back, she calls me back promptly. Not the next day or the day after that. How many times have you called any doctor's office and nobody calls you back, or knows what you are talking about. Not at Middlesex. Margarita in the Woburn office is one of a kind. She has always called me back and updated me on whatever the issue was. She has never left me hanging. For myself, that kind of experience is why I don't seek another practice regardless of where I move over the years. I can't not mention Laura and Katlyn at the Chelmsford office. These ladies have been there for me for multiple problems over the years, always respectful and do whatever possible to help. Last but not least any issues or help I needed regarding billing or insurance questions Tanesha has been always helpful and pragmatic with a solution. This practice checks all the boxes and more. You should feel fortunate if you are a patient, because other options don't come close. Middlesex recovery might save your life, or preserve a loved one’s life. Infinitely grateful Sarah J

I have been a patient here for 4 years and can truly say that Middlesex Recovery has an amazing staff of people. Dr. Laplante is a hero to me and I miss her greatly. It is so uncommon to go to a place where everyone who… is there knows that you are a recovering addict and yet still treat you with utmost respect and dignity. 🫶🏼

Middlesex recovery has been my place for opiate dependency and out-patient care for years now. They are one collective group, consisting of Suboxone prescribing Dr.s who really do care, and become intimately involved… with each of their patients respectively. Along with the helpful and friendly staff of in-takers and receptionists who are always at the ready with a smile and greeting, counselors who do not bug you but ate readily available with their office doors wide open and more smiles and are great at providing a friendly ear and much appreciated and needed support. There is also some office managers and other personnel, all within reach if need be. My personal Dr...Dr Smichael is one of the tougher physicians ant Middlesex Recovery. She has thatno nonsense attitude which has had me feeling like I was in the hot seT at the principals office on more than one occasion. However she clearly just wants the best for her patients and holds people to a standard she finds they are capable of achieving. Sometimes as patients and addicts, it is the slightly uncomfortable places that we need to go, in order to get back to the person we wish to be Gain. Dr Smichael is also incredibly patient and very charming. It is a welcomed visit I make to the office regularly. One where I feelni am under the best care of people who k ow what they are up against in this opiate and drug crisis of America and still they choose to be there and deliver the best care and do so in a warm and pleasant way. Lastly , I will mention that as an addict conflicted with ADD as well as other minor mental health issues, I am never turned away. With myself running late often, as long as the office is still open and I call to let them know my ETA, they have never said anything except " we will see you when you get here." It's a real relief to know that my serial tardiness won't cause me any undue of stress or create uncertainty with receiving my meds.
