About Care Clinic – Martinsburg

Care Clinic operates from 126 East Burke Street in Martinsburg. The site sits in Berkeley County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Berkeley Springs, Charles Town and Kearneysville. West Virginia draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Detox and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at Care Clinic

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Stepping down into continuing care happens with the same team, so there is no second intake to sit through. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

Care Clinic Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 126 East Burke Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401, in Berkeley County. The catchment reaches Berkeley Springs, Charles Town and Kearneysville. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

If you need a prior authorization do not use this company. My medication was prescribed on Jan. 8th. Just called my insurance and after 3 requests for a prior auth for the past month, still no PA has been submitted. I… confirmed with both the pharmacy and my insurance. This is a very important medication that I need and costs $5600 out of pocket. Obviously, care clinic just cares about the $$$$ but not the patient.

Had been great up til now. My med doses were dropped and was no longer effective. My appt last Thursday it was suggested that I try a different medication, both amphetamines. I was never told at my 10am appt about… needing a prior authorization. I found out after callin the clinic later that afternoon, that I needed to fill out a form from the website and submit which i did (i was told by someone on the phone that it could take up to a MONTH before I could get my meds!!!) I talked to my insurance and pharmacy and they were BOTH just waiting for a provider to call the Pharmacy stating that my medication had been CHANGED! It is TUES I've been without meds since Thursday and they STILL HAVE NOT CALLED THE PHARMACY!!! AT A MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC YOU SHOULD KNOW THE DANGERS OF AMPHETAMINE WITHDRAWAL N JERKIN WITH A PATIENT N THEIR MEDICATION!!!! Had i known this would take so damn long i would have stayed on my regular meds while this BS takes its time going through. Who knew making a call to a Pharmacy explaining the new medication was just a change up was so damn hard?! My Pharmacy has faxed the provider/office 2x with no reply!!! WEDNESDAY OCT 23, 2024 DAY 7 AMPHETAMINE WITHDRAWAL!!! YOU GUYS JUST LOST A CLIENT AND IM HALF TEMPTED TO TAKE YOU ALL TO COURT!!!!

Dr. Norton is wonderful, she listens and shows concern. It is hard to find Doctors for me and to keep up with appointments because I do have adhd so when I found care clinic and that they are in my state I was less… anxious then found they have drs that actually specialize in Adhd. My life was a lot harder before I started taking care of my health/mental health, since starting I been a patient for a year now and I have been able to handle different situations better, I am more "here" for my family and friends but especially my girls. I am able to accomplish more goals and focus on just being a better me for myself and society. My emotions are now stabilizing amd I think before making impulsive decisions. I am no way fixed and far from where I want to be but I can say since finding "my treatment" plan I am doing good and excited for my future and being my best self. Everyones body is different so what kay help me may not help you but the doctors at Care Clinic are there to actually help I feel like I am not just a number with a dollar sign if that make sence. Also front and back of the office are also great. Someone always gets back to me right away and usually an email will followup to make sure my concerns were takin care of. Thank you all.

I have not been able to see a provider in months, so it was truly wonderful that Care Clinic was able to schedule me on such short notice and accomodate my need for a virtual visit. Amanda was prompt with my visit and… talked through all the options with me. She seemed to genuinely care. I can not overstate how thankful I am for this service!
