Surest, formerly Bind, is a UnitedHealthcare company that runs an employer health plan with no deductible and no coinsurance, where every service carries a copay the member can see before booking it. For a family weighing treatment, that turns the cost question from a percentage of an unknown bill into a figure printed in an app.

Surest is sold only through employers, as a self-funded, level-funded or fully insured group plan, so there is no marketplace, Medicare or Medicaid version of it. Members use the national UnitedHealthcare provider network for medical care and the Optum Behavioral Health network for mental health and addiction care. The legal entity behind the card is still Bind Benefits, Inc. doing business as Surest.
