Tara Treatment Center Inc – Franklin Detox and Rehab Services

Tara Treatment Center Inc – Franklin appears on the register for detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Withdrawal is managed under clinical observation before other treatment begins, which matters most in the first seventy-two hours for alcohol and benzodiazepines. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Tara Treatment Center Inc – Franklin Address, Location and Contact Information

Records give the address as 6231 South U.S. Highway 31, Franklin, Indiana, 46131. Johnson County covers this area. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.

Call ahead to confirm directions, parking and what a first appointment involves. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Tara literally saved my life. It’s scary at first but then it starts to feel a little bit like home. The support continues even after you graduate. I couldn’t ask for better people. Kayla is a freak but she’s cool.

Tara saved my life! The whole process from Kaleb reaching out to the fellas giving me my Tara coin from graduating. Almost everyone is in recovery and really just want to see you do better. Not too big where you get… lost in the numbers. Therapists were great and groups were broke up. They also take you to outside meetings and help you be successful when you are leaving. By far the most caring rehab I have ever been.

The program appears to engage in discriminatory practices, and nursing staff can be demeaning, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude to clients. Leadership does not appear to be guided by individuals with lived experience… in recovery. Neither the CEO nor the Director is in recovery, which raises serious concerns about whether they truly understand the needs of individuals struggling with addiction or what constitutes a high-quality, effective treatment program. The facility itself is not adequately accessible to individuals with disabilities, raising additional concerns about whether all clients are being provided equitable access to treatment and services. There also appears to be a lack of understanding regarding the detoxification process and the unique medical and psychological needs associated with the different substances the facility treats. The program does not appear to consistently utilize evidence-based practices in developing and delivering treatment. Instead, it focuses heavily, if not exclusively, on a 12-Step model of recovery. While the 12 Steps can be an incredibly valuable and life-changing pathway for many people, recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Clients who wish to explore, understand, or utilize other evidence-based recovery pathways can be made to feel as though they are less committed to their recovery or are destined to fail. A quality treatment program should recognize and support multiple pathways to recovery rather than promoting a single approach as the only legitimate path to long-term sobriety. The program also appears antiquated in many of its practices and seems to selectively choose which clients it is willing to accept rather than focusing on who it is genuinely capable of helping. Individuals seeking treatment should be treated with dignity, compassion, respect, and trauma-informed care—not made to feel as though they are inmates in a jail. There are also serious concerns regarding the program’s treatment and understanding of diverse and minority populations. For example, a transgender woman was placed in a men’s facility rather than being provided placement consistent with her gender identity and individual needs. When concerns were raised, there appeared to be little willingness to seek additional education, increase awareness, or develop a better understanding of the unique needs and experiences of transgender individuals and other diverse minority populations. The facility also regularly takes clients to a church, where some clients have reportedly been told by church members that they are going to hell. Whether participation is voluntary or presented as part of the program, exposing vulnerable individuals in treatment to condemnation, shame, or religious messaging that tells them they are destined for hell is deeply concerning. Individuals seeking recovery should never be subjected to humiliation, spiritual coercion, or messaging that increases shame during an already vulnerable period in their lives. Spirituality can absolutely be a meaningful part of recovery for those who choose it, but treatment programs have a responsibility to ensure that religious involvement is respectful, non-coercive, and does not expose clients to degrading or harmful messages. A treatment program serving individuals from diverse backgrounds has a responsibility to continuously educate itself, examine its practices, and ensure that its policies are inclusive, equitable, culturally responsive, accessible, and grounded in current evidence. Refusing to increase awareness or knowledge regarding minority populations—and failing to address practices that may expose clients to shame, discrimination, or marginalization—can contribute to an environment where clients feel misunderstood, unsafe, or dehumanized at a time when they are seeking help during one of the most vulnerable periods of their lives.

Exceptional is an understatement! Amazing experience from start to finish! The staff truly cares and it was the structure I needed! Kaleb went above and beyond to get me in there. The psych nurse, Tiffany is amazing! I… actually love everyone there and may work there in a year! Ya never know. I learned the tools I needed and got the meds for my dual diagnosis’ I would recommend this to anyone struggling! Kayla is an awesome therapist! Family dynamic! I can’t say enough great things about about my experience! I will be back with the alumni for breakfast!

When I arrived at Tara, I was as low as I had ever been. I couldn’t be more grateful for the decision I made to go there. Every member of the staff truly cared about me and my recovery. It changed my life in the most… positive way. The schedule and curriculum required hard work and consistency, but helped me get back into a routine of living. I learned so much about myself, grew my fellowship, and made friendships I see being lifelong. I have since continued their aftercare programs and have experienced nothing but great things throughout my time there, as well. I am responsible for my recovery journey, but Tara has and will continue to have a major role in my success during my journey. I would strongly recommend Tara to any person looking to make the positive change. Going to Tara was one of the best decisions I’ll ever make.

Recently someone very close to me, that I care so much about has finally accepted help after years of battling demons that she’s tried to keep from the people that love her. I’ve been there every step of the way… fighting, what felt like, a losing battle alone. Finally after she agreed to get real help, we reached out to Tara and we were lucky enough to be connected with Kaleb Lane. He has been amazing throughout this early process. He even went out of his way to meet with her outside of the treatment center to reassure her that she was doing the right thing. He’s communicated perfectly with me and has guided me through this process. I couldn’t be more grateful for his help and the genuine care for the people he takes responsibility for. If someone you love is struggling, please reach out to Tara, and if he’s available, ask for Kaleb, he goes the extra mile. Thank you Kaleb for everything so far!

Tara Treatment Center was a wonderful experience. I attended Tara in 2023 after having a mental health crises and abusing substances. From the first day, I expressed my fears about recovery and being there, and I was… encouraged by a wonderful therapist to share those fears in group. I was embraced by the members of the community and they held me up until I could do so myself. Tara has a true understanding of our disease and the solution that’s available. As an artist, I was also impressed and felt at home with the therapies they offered, not only in the residential program, but also their Intensive Outpatient Program. Today, I am over 2 years sober and living a wonderful life, and Tara was an extremely strong foundation for my recovery. If you are having doubts, let them go. You are in good hands with Tara! I’ll be forever grateful to the Tara treatment team and community.

I just completed the Tara Treatment center program, And it was probably the best thing that could’ve happened to me in my life. I met a bunch of amazing people who I was in there with they all had their own stories. I… absorbed so much knowledge they helped me really find my higher power and give it all to him. All of their staff is beyond amazing and will do anything to help anybody. I would absolutely recommend this program to anybody who is struggling because they genuinely care about your well-being. You can talk to them about anything and they don’t judge you it almost just makes them love you more that you can be so open with them.. Not only was it just a treatment center. It was a safe place for me to fight my addiction with all the help and support I needed. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people all of the employees there every single one of them we’re so helpful to my recovery mentally and physically I was in a horrible place and they brought me out of it. If you are struggling Don’t hesitate to give them a call cause they’ll do anything in their power to get you in there and get you on the road to recovery
