Unsure if the business closed down without informing their patients but they missed my appointment and I have been calling for days trying to understand why and reschedule. No one will answer the phone or return calls.… Just tried to email and it says email doesnt exist anymore 🤷‍♀️ I really like this doctor so I am very disappointed, because now I am out of my medication.

If you’re looking for a place that can really help you with great care and unbelievable support- I would highly recommend New Focus. Dr A truly cares about his patients. Ava, who is in the office, is one of the most… genuine people you will ever meet. She goes out of her way to make sure you’re happy. Mary will help you as well. Great team!

Had this doctor for over a decade and battle with BPD. When switching to a new doctor after mine left office they refused to help. They are pure evil, don’t suggest checking them out even when desperate. Way to lose… your longest held patient without any regard for their mental well being. Disgusting and immoral.

My husband and I have been going to New Focus for several years. The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. Whenever I have a question between appointments they are very quick to respond. Dr. Aflatoon is… extremely knowledgeable. He is concerned about his patients’ mental health and displays a high level of compassion. I highly recommend New Focus Addiction and Behavioral Health!

I've been seeing Dr A and others on his team for a while now, and most recently have completed TMS for depression following a previous TMS treatment for anxiety. Both treatments have helped to improve my mood and life… significantly, as someone who has persistent depression and anxiety. I feel I can think more clearly, have had less lows in my mood, and overall have started feeling ready to get back into life in a way depression had robbed me of for a long time. To anyone who is considering TMS or is finding meds to be not helping much as I was, I recommend this treatment, though it is a bit of a commitment it seems very worth it. Hoping to keep improving with Dr A and his team, thanks so much.

I had a really disappointing experience with the office staff. They never answered any of my phone calls, and when they finally did, they blamed me for not leaving a voicemail. Despite explaining that I ran out of my… medication and needed a refill, they told me I would have to wait 3 weeks for an appointment because I'm considered a new patient, even though I'm not. Dr. Aflatoon himself is great, but his staff is irresponsible and rude.

Honest review. Let’s start with the downsides. Biggest complaint is staff turnover. In my six years or so of going here, I have probably seen at least six different Nurse Practitioners, and two different therapists.… Having to relate your life story/history of trauma/addiction issues and build a relationship at least once a year is BEYOND annoying. Also, you’ll get put on a treatment plan by one NP and work with that, then you suddenly have to transition to someone new. Just no. I did have ONE NP who actually checked medication interactions and contraindications before prescribing me a new medicine. NO medical “professionals” do this. I can’t tell you how many drs, NP’s, etc I’ve seen in different fields who have prescribed me two meds at once which can have severe interactions when taken together, or prescribed me something which could have severe, even FATAL, interactions with meds I was currently taking. Luckily, I did my OWN online research before starting any of those. I wish I had done my own research on prescription opiate pain killers and benzodiazepenes TWENTY YEARS ago when my drs started handing the stuff out to me like candy. Dr after dr kept prescribing with NO warning about addiction potential, withdrawals, permanent damage, etc. Which is how I ended up here…. Anyway, back to New Focus. Your best bet at not being shuffled between multiple providers is to get an appointment with Dr. Aflatoon himself. But be ready to wait at least an hour to be seen. Also, do your own research about medication interactions and whether a new prescription will react badly with a pre-existing health condition. (Sadly, a problem NOT unique to Dr. A). As for Dr. A, he seems like he really knows his stuff and tries to work with you, but he’s so overbooked that I often just feel like I’m shuffled in long enough for him to send my scripts and then shuffled back out. I do give him props for being willing to try different treatments for my anxiety and depression. Current therapist Nicole is nice, but I think I need a CBT-based therapist. Overall, I have mixed feelings. This is not the worst place or the best place I’ve been. It does beat having to go somewhere daily, and it’s nice to have the dual treatment aspect.

This place started out good. But they don't understand addiction and the battle. And thefact some of us have to work and they want you to come in weekly. I've never heard of someone being thrown out of treatment This… place is a joke. It's a cash Cow for people who have no clue what they are doing. Save yourself the trouble. Find somewhere else! Oh and good luck being seen on time. Having to do somebody else's job to get your meds. Dr. A is good. He's just had 12 nurse practitioners in almost 2 years.

Worst place to go if you actually need help they don't consult help with any depression or anxiety other then making you take pills and don't help you talk about problems. They never get back to me and have been billing… me for months and I stopped going to them and they've billed me for other peoples visits

I would hands down recommend Dr. Aflatoon and the therapist Nicole. It took my mom a long time to find a great location and after relocating her to Georgia I have seen such an amazing change in her, they have so many… options for PTSD therapy. I have met with both of them and they really are the absolute best! I get a message for her medication refills before she even gets out of the parking lot and getting and appointment is not hard at all. Highly, highly recommend.

I do not recommend this facility at all. They never answer the phone. The staff at the front desk is rude and I can guarantee they don’t even listen to their voicemails because they never give you a call back. They fail… to send your prescriptions to your pharmacy at a timely manner. You never see the same “doctor” it’s always someone different which defeats the purpose of building trust with your doctor and they try to get you on the most expensive medications. I would highly suggest looking elsewhere

My child sees Dr. Aflatoon and is in therapy with Nicole. Dr. A has helped us diagnose and treat my child’s issues. We are able to ask questions so we fully understand her treatment plan. Having her therapist in the… same practice has been great. They are able to work together on the best course of action. By creating a positive and open environment, Nicole has made my child feel comfortable with sharing and expressing her feelings. The front staff has helped with school paperwork and getting her started in specific programs. I would highly recommend New Focus.

Stay away from this place. The ladies in front are very rude and unprofessional, they don't know how to treat people, they always have an attitude. remember that every individual seeking a service is going through a… difficult time so please be compassionate! Put your feet on their shoes. We were paying for a service that this office offers, no asking for a favor. Why to stay when there are tons of office that will treat you with respect and value you as a customer?

I have been here 2 times today , the doctor told me she could call me and tell me my results and call my prescription in to Walmart because I work so much I am not able to come up here every 2 weeks , I went home to get… my insurance card so they could take a copy of front and back for a mouth swab , came back in the lady said I have to come in the location she cannot do over the phone visits , also told me the practitioner I was seeing was new so she did not know what she was talking about I told her I felt like she was being rude and I was uncomfortable with her taking my blood she said she felt like I was being rude she said she was the only nurse in the establishment and she also stated she was the assistant manager and the manager was unavailable, I don’t believe her to be professional at all and I am not happy with how I was talked to or treated
