Newport Integrated – Decatur Reviews
Before contacting Newport Integrated, it can help to read how patients and their families describe the program. Their reviews are collected in this section, along with reviews from around the web.
Dr. John Moseri is a nightmare to deal with. He’s uncouth, disrespectful, communicates poorly, and doesn’t take the care of his patients seriously. If you disagree or ask questions about anything that’s going on he… won’t address your concerns. He’ll just say go to another doctor. He literally laughed in my face today while I brought to his attention concerns I had with his recommendations. Then he put information that was not factual in his reporting, wouldn’t even look at the supporting information I had to show that what he documented was inaccurate, and just refused to operate in a professional manner. All they will do is bill your insurance and hop you up on drugs and you will never get the treatment or clear care plan that you need. The lack of professionalism by him should be studied and banned in all 50 states. If you care about your family don’t bring them anywhere near this poor excuse of a clinician. Believe the reviews. I’m not the only one.
Dr. L.J Moseri is my favorite doctor. He gives the best advice and provides the best treatment based on the individual… I am grateful to have and for you to continue to be my doctor. Thank you.
Amazing place with amazing staff.
Great experience overall. Since coming here I have been making great personal improvements. Dr. Moseri has been very great in helping me manage my conditions and giving me great tools to keep me going on my mental… health journey.
Newport is a good place to Detox at. They accept most insurance and can set you up with a bed over the phone. They support MAT but I brought my own supply so I can’t speak on theirs. They gave me a 5 day benzodiazepine… taper and vitamins/supplements, along with my normal meds. The intake process was simple, you get shook down a bit upon entering the clinical area, they look through your things and your person. They do a urine test, TB stick, and take blood on day 2. I would suggest bringing a weeks worth of clothing, warm stuff, pajamas, house shoes, shower shoes are a must, reading material, writing material, recovery books, you will need an extra pillow or 2, bring your own blanket and basic toiletries-they can supply hygiene items if necessary, cigarettes / tobacco, you can’t bring vapes, no phones. The bathroom was a lil nasty but the showers were clean and functional as well as private. The place is a bit dingy and old feeling overall and could use paint and decor. The bedrooms have a window and 2-3 twin beds with divider curtains between each, and 2 nightstands/shelves. You get fresh clean pillow cases, blankets, sheets, towels, washcloth. The beds aren’t great but they’re not the worst I’ve seen. You can come and go from your room to the Dayroom or nurses station as you please. There is a landline phone available during certain hours. I was there with 5-6 other folks. I had a relapse on stimulants and was admitted a few days after calling. Nurse Ginny spoke to me on the phone and she was very kind and experienced. The nurses were great, Rose was the best. The daytime started with a meal from Piccadilly, these to go plates were so-so. Some were better than others. But the portions were big. You also get a snack every night at night med call. We would then do groups, they had a good variety. Some were videos some were activity based some writing based, etc. The counselors were all nice people and qualified. The aftercare coordinator Joy that worked with me was super friendly and helpful. They can also set you up with part time classes to attend on site after you graduate detox, or send you to an inpatient residential treatment center, then halfway house. They’ll take you all the way if you put in the work, they have the connections and knowledge to help people in tons of ways. Take advantage of people like this, they live to help others. They could use a new DVD player and some DVDs and Blu rays for sure, and art supplies. Overall it’s a good place to get clean. The intake process was smooth and the place itself was solid, programs and everything. Food, beds, and the paint/decor, as well as the men’s bathroom are my only complaints. I had a room to myself the whole time I was there, and got a lot of writing and some reading done. Played some cards and watched some movies. My time there really helped me a lot in my recovery journey. I use Smart Recovery and have gotten deep into the program since leaving detox. They offer AA, NA, and other support groups as well. If you are battling addicting and need help, reach out, this is a good jumping off point. It’s all up to you.
My experience with Newport behavioral was the best choice I made ever they saved me i was diagnosed highly depression with schizophrenia I really loved going there Dr M takes care of you keep up the good work
Dr. Moseri is very knowledgeable and beyond qualified for what he is doing. My experience with him is not just for mental adjustment. He has shown to be knowledgeable as a physician as well. I thank the Most High for… him. Since seeing him I have learned to manage my emotional feelings, and I am more aware of my physical health which had a great impact on my cognitive mindset. The negative comments that are on here are mind-blowing. But keep in mind, majority of the patients and or guardians of patients seeking help are in a negative space in life anyway. Trying to use negativity to charge your positive seems not to work. When you seek help, submit to what's being put before you and Yah will do the rest to help bring you out. I pray healing and well-being for us all.
IT TOOK ME LITERALLY YEARS TO FIND A PSYCHIATRIST IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA THAT IS PROFESSIONAL, UNDERSTANDING AND THAT HAS GREAT KNOWLEDGE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. JOHN MOSERI WHO I CONSIDER TO BE THE BEST PSYCHIATRIST… THAT HAS EVER TREATED ME. THE STAFF AND SECRETARIES ARE ALSO VERY PLEASANT AND KIND WHICH MAKES THINGS ALOT EASIER. THANK YOU, RICHARD MOLINA
Excellence! I have accomplished so much more because of the treatment plan
Certainly! Here’s an expanded version: Newport Integrated Behavioral Healthcare has played a transformative role in my life. The support and guidance I've received there have truly been invaluable. Dr. Moseri stands out… as a remarkable professional who has not only provided exceptional care but has also equipped me with vital tools to navigate my personal challenges. His insights and compassionate approach helped me confront and overcome some of the most difficult times I've ever experienced. I am deeply appreciative of his dedication, as well as that of his staff, who consistently provide a nurturing environment and unwavering support. Their collective efforts have made a significant difference in my journey toward healing and personal growth. I genuinely value all that they do and the positive impact they have had on my life.
Great place they helped me out well people complain about the food from Piccadilly it's cold 1 microwave. Most of y'all like myself were out on the street getting high every barely eating. Then want to complain about a… place that going to get you better and back on the right track 💞 👍
Beyond unprofessional. Our appointment was at 12…wasn’t seen until 2. The “psychologist” saw my son for 5 minutes and assumed he was an angry child that needed mood stabilizers from nowhere. Didn’t ask any questions… about his mood or his interests or anything. Accused him from running away from school because he wants to get high with his friends. My son is 14 and Autisitc. He also stated he couldn’t be autistic because he didn’t “look or sound” autistic 🙄🤦🏽♀️. Again no questions about his 12 year diagnosis or issues that he struggles with. You can see from the video how rude he was just because I asked a question. He triggered my son who started to get upset and tried to leave the office and laughed in his face, egging him on while he was getting angrier. You can hear the “doctor” saying “Ahh beautiful” at the end of the video as my son starts to get upset. This man should have whatever fake license he has revoked.
The wait time is ridiculous. They are my 13th reason why I won’t turn to places like this anymore.
The owners of this place are Incredibly cheap. All meals are cold and probably come free from Piccadilly Circus and we (patients) have one microwave to heat all meals. One pot of coffee for all staff and patients every… morning. That's right, One pot. All rules are not written down so they yell at you when you break them. After four days I couldn't take it any longer. The whole place needs a paint job. Not a plant in the whole facility. The owners must be pocketing the government money they receive. Did I mention there were only five of us patients even though there were 30 or 40 cots, not beds, available. TV reception was unwatchable. No book swap. No exercise room. No toiletries so bring your own. The staff are way overworked too. I felt like a prisoner rather than a patient. Stay away!!!
Newport health has saved my life. The doctor's,consulers, and staff are very perfehanal and understanding. Ive been clean and sober for 17 months and still going.I look forward to group sessions and one on one counseling… with my consuler.please anyone out there seeking help with addiction please don't wait to the bitter ends get help.
This place saved my life. If you truly want to change, and have an open mind, this place can save your life like it did mine.
The only doctor there is rude and didn't care of my treatment plan and medication that made me very sick. I'm finding another Doctor that truly cares about me and my health treatment with medication. He just threw me on… medication that he thought would work and I stayed in a zombie state .....
I can’t speak highly enough of this place. They saved my life. I entered this facility in 2010 as a very broken addict. Today, I am 13 years clean. Alfred Williams and his counseling sessions saved my life. I wish that… I could repay Newport for what they have done for my life, but that would be impossible, as it’s priceless. Thank you all so much! Alfred Williams, Dr. Moseri (all of you) and all the amazing staff, from the bottom of my heart. I told yall I’d make it! ;) Love to you all! ❤️
I really enjoy my therapist however, whenever I have made an appointment with the doctor, it has been a ridiculous wait time. I always have to wait. My appointment was for 10:00am. I got to the office around 9:00am. It… is now 10:30 and I'm still waiting. I need my medication and Marta Mobility will be back to pick me up 11:00. I feel that the doctor has no respect for my time or my needs. Is it right for me to have to be in his office as expected but, he doesn't care about my time?
I advise anyone who is seeking help go somewhere else. The Doctor is rude, disrespectful , doesn’t know how to communicate properly and he prescribe all his patient with Lithium without doing a properly diagnosis. The… nurse Rose which is his wife and she is very disrespectful and nasty. This facility does not help anyone at all. They only make you worst. The facility is ran by a bunch of crooks. Mr. Willie is the biggest crook well counselor. They need to shut this place down. I am currently in the process with trying to get them to lose their license. They can’t keep getting away with how they treat people. Please ppl don’t waste your time going here.
This place was wonderful. The doctor here is a compassionate man who has a very effective and wonderful staff. Every person working here is personable and goes to great length to ensure the safety and comfort of… patients. Can't say enough great things about this facility.
I am giving a 3-star not bcuz of service, but bcuz of their mindset. 1st off, Epinephrine and Buprenorphine are 2 Totally DIFFERENT GENRES(Drugs). How can I trust my doc. with my health if their pharma-niave? Scarey I… must say. Dr. Moseri's daughter, Ms. JOY is NOT A Dr. So she shouldn't be advertising meds during class 2BHonest. But she has good intent . Just confused: Suboxone has been arnd since 80s , stop acting like U Invented it. "Your not giving out a happy pill" ...No, a team of chemists make it from the poppys alkaloid: Thebaine ((just like all ""semi-synthetic"" opioids.)). I'm not a hoodrat she can take advantage of. I'm a upper class man from the suburbs. And if addiction is "a disease like diabetes" then don't kick someone out for eating a powdered donut . OR if someone isn't serious, give it 2someubody who is. Yes. But all this misinformation, is dangerous. Other than that : VERY SWEET STAFF. MS JOY TOO.
The dr is very rude unless u have good insurance. Very disrespectful
Felt the need to leave a review. Read some of the reviews after I had scheduled my appointment about a week out. Was going to cancel because I thought I was about to enter a “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” facility. I… got low budget insurance and this is what is finically feasible at the moment. Met with Dr. Moseri and do not regret it one bit. If you met and spoke to him and only understood half of what he said, you will be alright. Maybe it’s the New Yorker in me but I needed some of that honesty that came from the mans expertise. Thanks Dr. Moseri for your time and help.
